Syd shrugged. "Whatever." She didn't really care what Allie wanted to do about her stupid slutty sister. She had mentioned that before.

"Be careful how much shit you say to me, then," she said. "I can punch you whenever I want. If you don't want to get punched, then don't be a bitch."

She worked her way farther back on the bed and rolled to the side to open the window. "I'm going to sleep. Do whatever you want," she said, and gathered her hair over her shoulder and laid down on her side with her back to Allie and closed her eyes.

Allie growled as Syd pulled away from her. Just going to bed like that! Allie huffed and sat up. "YOU don't be a bitch! You don't just get to punch me like that, Syd. It's NOT ok. Just because I can't beat you up doesn't mean I can't make your life hell in a different way. Don't YOU forget about THAT!"

Allie stood up and heaved the pillow at Syd's head. "Good-NIGHT!" She barked and left Syd, shutting off the lights and slamming the door behind her.

"Ugh! How could someone be so intolerable!?" She grumbled to herself as she went into her own room and crawled into her bed.

Syd didn't budge, even as the pillow whacked her on the head. She laid perfectly still, facing the wall. Allie's final outburst left her feeling a little uneasy, but she dismissed the thought that the little redhead could cause her any distress. That would be stupid.

She did kind of wish she had stayed, though. Sometimes an empty mattress on the floor of an expensive, but sterile, apartment in the middle of a big city in a foreign country just didn't make Syd feel at home.
