Well, actually, no, Rodan wouldn't be a dinosaur, since he's a mutated pterosaur, and pterosaurs aren't dinosaurs, they just lived around the same time. Godzilla is actually supposed to be an ancient monster that lived around the time of the dinosaurs but somehow survived only to be mutated by radiation, or...something. It kind of changes, depending on the series we're talking about. It may or may not involve time-traveling aliens. And in one series he's possessed by the souls of people who died in WWII.

...yeah, just ignore that. Rodan. Stick with what I said before.
