Valley Doll vs. Alaina Sanders - The Slamazon and the Amazon

Valley eyed Alaina, up and down. She had the look. That look. Vally had seen that look a hundred times on a hundred opponents. In herself, once. That determined, fierce look.

Valley respected that look. She was going to put it down, but she respected it.

Alaina came in fast and tried to catch her around the waist - and succeeded. But Vally was staying on the attack, and she tied to elbow her in the head and put a quick stop to it.

Alaina was going to have to be smarter if she wanted to pull off the win. As soon as she got behind Valley Doll but before she could get a good grip a quick elbow to her head caused her to let go and take a couple steps back.

She stepped back and waited defensively. Valley Doll wanted to use her speed, and Alaina figured she'd be coming at her fast. If her plan worked she could try to reverse Valley Doll's offense, but if it failed she would find herself in a very bad spot.

The hit managed to get Alaina off her, and she seemed to be on the defensive now, reeling from the pain, a lot more wary than when the fight started - a worried opponent could be a dangerous one. But then again, so could a skilled one.

Now that she had Alaina at a distance, Valley decided the best idea would be to keep her there as long as possible - it was time to get a little fancy, start busting out her trademark kicks. She moved in, raising her left leg like she was going for a low roundhouse kick, then turning around and swinging her right leg out in a wide arc, coming at the Amazon with a deadly spinning hook, aimed for her face.

Alaina was ready for the left roundhouse... but when Valley Doll changed it up to a sweeping kick from the right it caught Alaina right in the face!

"Arrgh!" Alaina shouted as she fell onto the mat. She grabbed her face checking to see if her nose was broken. So far so good, no blood. She knew she'd have to get in some offense, fast but the kick to the face left her stunned.

Valley didn't see the kick connect for more than a second as she spun, but the cry alone made her wince - that kick rocked Alaina's head something awful, no question. She was reeling, and it was only going to get worse.

Valley leaped forward and jumped straight up, sending a double snap kick straight towards her chest, one after the other in rapid succession.

"AHHH!" As Alaina lay on the mat and Valley Doll continued to pile on she screamed loudly in pain. Her ribcage felt awful and she kicked the mat in pain as she grabbed her chest with her arms.

"Shit..." Alaina cursed as she slowly began to work up the energy to get up. She was in a lot of pain and managed to get to one knee as she kept her eyes on Valley Doll. Alaina felt like things were getting out of hand, but not all was lost. She needed to do something, she couldn't let herself lose again. She didn't think of herself as a jobber and damned sure wasn't about to let anyone else see her that way either.

Valley winced at the scream - Alaina had an extremely high pitch, and from the sound of things, Valley was pouring on more pain than even she had thought. She would have to start toning down just a bit - kicking someone while they were down wasn't typically her style. Just take it easy, keep it civil.

As Alaina got up, Valley moved back in and reached out, looking to catch her in a front headlock and pulling her up. "For the record, you're doing a really good job, Alaina." She wrenched the hold, stomping for some extra power. "You wrestled before you came here, right? Who with?"

As Alaina got up, she felt Valley Doll close the headlock and put a bit of extra pressure on with each stomp. However, she was shocked to hear from the tall, slender veteran that she was doing well. The priase falttered her, but she was still trying to work her way out of her current mess.

"Yeah, started in a tiny San Diego based group last year called 'San Diego Destruction League.' It was just a local deal, but an AFW scout found my roomate and I, signing us to entry level contracts." Alaina manged to say as she tried to put one arm around Valley Doll's waist and the other down on her thigh.

Alaina was going to try to grab Valley Doll and lift her high before falling back still holding Valley Doll, trying to drive home a good back drop.

"Destruction League? Sounds familiar." It did, indeed - Valley had been too busy to really watch more of the competition when she in California, but she was relatively familiar with it. It could produce some top talent, and Alaina seemed to be a product of that. Smart and determined and strong like an ox.

Valley wrenched the hold and prepared to slam her down, head first into the floor - a good way to softe her for a true three-count. But Alaina had other plans - she switched it around and threw Valley about instead, tossing her back to land hard on her shoulder. The momentum carried her a foot or two before the rolling stopped and she laid there, groaning the whole time.

Alaina made her way over towards Valley Doll. She knew it would take a lot to have a chance at winning, the veteran wouldn't just roll over and let herself get pinned. Alaina rolled Valley Doll on her back and moved behind her.

A camel clutch would do a bit of damage, even if Valley Doll managed to get out of the hold. "Sorry Doll, I gotta get back into it somehow." Alaina said as she stood behind Valley Doll, sitting down on her lower back, and putting her arms underneath Valley Dolls chin, pulling backwards as she hoped to secure the submission hold.
