Lucy Grange vs Dmitri - Pick Yourself Up

Lucy was being, maybe, just a tab bit overeager, but Dmitri couldn't blame her too much - she did have him in a nasty position.

She wasn't too strong, but strength wasn't a requirement to exact a lot of pain with the armbar - the fulcrum more than made up for that little difference. Dmitri groaned, shaking his head, wincing at the pain as she pulled back and pulled back hard - dire straights were starting to bare down on him. His saving grace was that he hadn't used his arms much so far, so they were in good shape for the match, but even they would wear down, eventually.

Taking a deep breath, Dmitri twisted around and tried to turn the armbar against her, rolling towards her and trying to put her in a pinning position, with Dmitri coming down right on her. An awkward position, sure, but awkwardness was a big part of being a Tension wrestler.

Lucy kept ahold of Dmitri's arm, working on it as best she could. Even if she couldn't get a tap out then at the very least the arm would be hurt.

Then her move came back to bite her when Dmitri was going for a pin attempt upon the girl from the UK. The ref began to slap her hand and was at the one count, Mr Grange's baby girl cursed her luck. Then again she did recall that Ryan tried to do something like this in a recent match of his, but she was not paying full attention when he was talking so she couldn't remember the counter.

So what was Mr Grange's baby girl to do? Why break the hold of course, as soon as the ref's hand left the mat Lucy let go of Dmitri's arm. She then rolled backwards and got to a crouching stance, wincing a little as the pain of her leg was present.

"Ah, nice move grasshopper." Lucy said with a little bit of a pant, well he was wearing a martial arts uniform so she figured she'd crack a joke about that at least.

He put the pin on, the ref started to come in for the count - and she broke away before he could hope to get any success, rolling out of the pin. Predictable - there was no way it would ever be that easy. He simple was not that lucky and she was simply was that good. Still, he was out of the armbar and managed to stop her momentum, so he was still on good ground. Just had to keep it there for as long as possible.

"Oh, uh...thanks?" Grasshopper? What? That one went right over his head. He sensed it was supposed to be funny, though, so he made a half-hearted laugh. Not need to be rude.

He came towards her again and drew back, like he was going to throw another - instead, he jerked forward with the other hand and tried to grab her wrist, looking to Irish Whip her into the corner. A bad place for a girl like her to be.

Lucy felt herself getting grabbed and flung into the corner with an old fashioned Irish whip, which she decided there was no point in trying to resist it. After all she might be able to turn it into an advantage, so off she went.

She let out a loud grunt as she turned around in the corner, the momentum making her go back first without time to soften the blow. Mr Grange's baby girl kept her eyes on Dmitri like she watching the apple fall from the tree.

Lucy kept a firm grip on the ropes with one hand, to launch a counter attack should he rush towards her. The corner may be a bad place for a girl sure, but you never know what cornered beast could do.

Dmitri was about to find out exactly that.

Lucy was light, probably not even half his total weight, so flinging her into the corner was easy - keeping her there, that would be the challenge. The crash seemed to drain a lot of the life from her, but the only way to be sure was to capitalize - time to get in close.

Dmitri buckled down and ran towards her at full speed, long legs sprinting. He leaped up and came her with a running jump kick, aimed straight at her chest, his heel streaking through the air.

Lucy got herself ready for when Dmitri charged at her, it reminded her of the times when she fought Ryan. Thus she had a feeling she knew what to do here. And that was to avoid the situation entirely, although she was a bit taken aback when the man went for a flying kick. But with that outfit of his that was to be expected at any rate.

So Mr Grange's baby girl kicked into action, making sure to dodge the blow. She stuck her legs into the ropes, making sure to raise them up. Odds were that Dmitri's kick would just hit the padded turnbuckle, Lucy would then alter her spot in the ropes so that she was standing on the apron near the turnbuckle.

She moved. Well...crap. Lucy really was getting to be quite slippery. Maybe not overtly dangerous, but she knew how to stay mobile, he had to give her that. Fortunately for Dmitri, his kick didn't come in too high, or else the match would have gone very, very badly from that point on.

Instead, his foot, just hit the soft turnbuckle and he bounced off as she went to the side, landing one foot with the other still outstretched. Looking to keep his momentum as long as possible, he zeroed in on her and spun around, shooting his leg out with a spinning heel kick, his foot coming out with thunderous force.

Mr Grange's baby girl had to give it to Dmitri, he was good. Maybe as good as her Brother was, he was relentless to be sure. But she was accustomed to dealing with relentless fighters, she was accustomed to being the smaller fighter too. Just ask Ryan how much of a pain she was at getting away.

But her plan from the ropes was in peril, just as she was going to leap into the air to get to Dmitri he'd gone and done his kick. Lucy would've mentally kicked herself, this guy was using her legs every chance he got and she should've had the foresight to adjust her plan to it.

There was a loud "Whack" noise as the heel of Dmitri clonked Lucy on the side of her forehead, the sheer force stunned Lucy mid jump. Her body would land on the ropes and just lie there for a second before the momentum sent her to the mat, landing on the back of her head as she did so. Stunned for the moment after an impact like that Lucy would groan and close her eyes.

And another kick landed, dead on, Dmitri's heel clonking her hard in the head, one of his best kicks landing without impunity. There was a moment of sharp, drastic silence throughout the ring as she slumped on the ropes...and then, down she went.

Dmitri moved in fast and went to scope her up, looking for the three count with a moment's pause. Lucy was just too nice - he really just wanted her to go down so he could apologize and get on with his day. She didn't deserve to take all these kicks to the brain.

"1...!"

Lucy heard the ref pound on the mat once, that wasn't good. It indicated that Dmitri was going to try for a win on her, now she wasn't going to lie down and take it. Well okay she was lying down but that was beside the point, the fact was the match was getting away from her like....the words were lost on her.

But regardless she knew she had to at least try and get out of this spot, else her old man would give a right good bullshit rant for not trying her hardest. And to be honest she'd rather take another one of those kicks than suffer through one of his rants. So as annoyed as her head was after that kick she knew she had to try and keep going, at the very least till she herself could bullshit no more.

"N..no, gotta keep fighting else...old man will flip." Lucy muttered, she'd try to keep her shoulders from being pinned. Her head was still reeling from that hit but she could still carry on, not as well as she was before that little accident though.
