[Friction World Cup] Canada vs Japan: Ace vs Akashi

Ace's world turned temporarily upside down as she was lifted, realizing with a start what Akashi had in mind.

"Oh no, nononononononoGAH!"

She cried as she was thrown down, her back and the back of her head smashing into the mat with enough force to shake the ropes, Ace's arms falling to the side as her head hung, laying on her cheek, groaning in pain. The crowd ate it up, loving the incredibly powerful move, cheering their home team hero on, the entire arena counting in perfect unison along with the referee as she began the count.

"ONE!"

"I saw what Taylor-chan did.' Akashi said as she leaned forward to look at Ace who seemed to be quite out of it. Akashi cruled her arms under Ace's frame as the ref slapped down antoher count.

"TWO!"

Akashi broke the count by pulling Ace off the mat. The cheering and counting crowd suddenly gasped, wondering why the sumo would do that. What she did was pull Ace into another sitting position on top of her shoulders. "Anything she can do..." Akashi whispered and tried to slam Ace down hard for another powerbomb pin.

The first powerbomb had left Ace dazed, unable to counter the second one. This time, her body limply smacked onto the mat, arms and head flopping a bit, the sound resembling a dead fish hitting the mat. The crowd roared their immense approval of the excessive brutality in the move, some of them counting along with the ref, some of them chanting Akashi's name, and others calling for Akashi to copy her partner Taylor's other finishing blow from her victory over Ace, wanting to see the sumo fly, even as the referee counted the pin.


"ONE!"

Akashi heard the roars and watched as Ace was limply draped over Akashi's shoulders. She looked up at the crowd as the referee counted again and this time threw her hand in the air, pointing her index finger tot he sky.

"ONE MOOOOOORE!" She screamed loudly and collected Ace, heaving her up to the sitting position,panting hard from the effort SHE was putting in. This time she walked with Ace, parading her around the ring before she dropped her down again, this time with her in a sitting position. Akashi didn't need to secure the pin. if by some miracle Ace kicked out, there was no way she could survive anything else. With Akashi sitting, and the referee in position in the middle of the ring, Akashi raised her arms in the air to count along.

"ONE!" She said, pumping her fingers in the air and screaming loudly with the referee and the crowd.

The third and final powerbomb, an impressive display in overkill, left Ace a limp wreck on the mat, legs limply laying against Akashi's body for the pin, the girls body only lightly rising and falling as she breathed, knocked unconscious by the the second powerbomb, the third just increasing the damage to her head and body.

The crowd roared their approval, loud chants of "A-KA-SHI!" "A-KA-SHI!" echoing around the arena, one of the loudest reactions the crowd had given in recent memory. Every single person was on their feet, raising their fists and screaming at the top of their voices along with Akashi, truly resembling and feeling like one unified country as the japanese heroine defeated the, in their minds, evil, dishonorable, and unworthy Canadian.

"TWO!"


"THREE!"

They counted clapping and cheering as the bell rang, Akashi announced as the winner. Some more overzealous fans actually leaped over the barricade to enter the ring, trying to hug the sumo while the arena was bathed in the flashing white lights of picture takers.

Meanwhile, the ref girl, after raising Akashi's arm in victory, pulled out some smelling salts to try and wake Ace up.

Akashi was sweat soaked and panting as the crowd counted to three. She stood up off of Ace and threw her hands in the air as her music played. She stepped to the corner and stood on the lower turnbuckle. She then threw her head back and bellowed, pounding her fist against her chest.

"NIIIPOOOOOOOOOON!" The crowd roared back and Akashi stepped off the ropes. She gave one last look at Ace as the refs tried to rouse her. Akashi then bowed respectfully and exited through the ropes, slapping the crowd's hands as she exited the arena.

Ace was roused a couple minutes later, shaking her head, weakly rolling out of the ring. The refs offered to help her, which she refused, gripping onto the guardrail for support in order to slowly make her way up the ring. The crowd showed no sympathy for the canadian, booing her mercilessly, fans in the front row even shoving her a couple times, Ace barely holding on, knee's shaking.

Finally she collapsed, the referee helping her up and helping her too the back.

Ace's entire body was wracked with pain, she had been completely overpowered and taken apart, and from what she saw of Akashi as she left the arena, she hadn't done much damage. She had challenged some of AFW's best, in order to see how she compared. This match made clear what her match with Taylor had only hinted at: When it came to AFW's main eventers, Ace didn't compare. Ace knew now she was not ready for the higher ups, the main eventers, the best of the best. She had learned her place, knowing she needed to start facing people on her own level. One thing was certain, it was going to be a long time before she challenged Akashi again.
