This was an interesting, but not unwelcome turn of events.
Styx had come to Japan seeking hardcore matches - things were rougher here, less to worry about in the way of rules than America leagues and their turgid, unyielding rules. More elbow room, more opportunity to smash a motherfucker's face in with a cinderblock if she so desired. And she did desire that indeed - part of the reason that she'd managed to sneak one in under the ring before the match, as it so turned out.

The AFW was more than accomodating to her exclusive tastes and proclivities. Not only had they set her up with a match, but a match against the 'Hardcore Queen' herself, Cecilia Northman - if Styx had been the type to care about such things, she might have been honored. As it was, she simply saw it as an opportunity to cull some favor around the ranks, gain some respect - currency to spend later, when fear and intimidation were needed. After all, wasn't that the traditional advice given to new prisoners? Take out the biggest son of a bitch you can find on the first day? Sage advice and she intended to follow it to the letter.

Most people would have been intimidated by this opportunity. Most people would have fretted over the challenge. Styx? Styx was practically giddy. The chance to smear a champion's blood all over the ring, make her scream, humiliate her in front of hundreds of thousands of her fan, immortalize her defeat all over the internet, stomp a mudhole in her ass and walk it dry? Rare. Very rare. She'd make the most of it.

As her music started and she make her way to the ring, her attentions would be very clear - she came dragging along a trash can, filled to the brim with all the expecte accouterments. Baseball bat. Brass knuckles, a personal favorite. A few hammers of varying sizes and models. Pepper spray, that should be interested. A Butterfinger wrapper that some jerk had thrown in, probably to be a smart ass. Ah, pliers. Those might be fun, depending on how the match went. A chain, maybe for a little restraint if she became pliable enough.

People could say all sorts of things about her, but never let it be said that River Styx is repetitive. Petty, cruel, insane, but never repetitive. When she bashes a bitch's face in, she makes sure it's never in the same way twice. Life needed its spices.

She tossed the trash can into the ring and rolled in after it, dragging it to the middle and letting it sit there while she went over for a stretch in her corner, making sure what little clothing she had was in working order and that her earrings were taken off.. Cecilia would be out soon, then festivities could begin - the agonizing, brutal, painful, hellish, demented, batshit insane experiences.

It had been a little while since Cecilia's last true hardcore match, the latest one she had was her match at Avalanche against her long time rival Heather Sunderland. Though as of late the former Hardcore champion had been itching for a fight, she wanted to let loose again and go wild, to break a few bones and shatter a few skulls. At least that was how she felt lately, so when she got to hear that she could have a good nice Hardcore match, but it would have to be against some rookie...well Cecilia took it both good and bad, part of her really didn't get why she was a rookie initiator, perhaps AFW wanted to show the newbies that this was a tough place ? And that was why they sent them right into the lion's den on their first day ? Who knew, Cecilia was too annoyed by the idea of having to face off against a rookie to even bother trying to reason as to why she was the one chosen for it.

Still, there was something that was interesting about facing a rookie. It meant that there was a fresh new opponent to rough up as much as she wanted to. Part of blond beauty had to admit that she did kinda find it boring fighting the same people all the time, and for that reason this would probably be an interesting match...at least that was if her opponent could put up a fight.

The Swedish bombshell stepped out onto the top of the ramp, wearing what had been her standard attire for some time now. The black and red pants with the intricate design, a top of the same color scheme and a vest jacket of black and white color. The powerful blond wrestler began to jog down the ramp to the beat of her music.

Once she reached the ring, the wrestler who now went under the name Berserker, slid into the ring and would step up to the center of the ring, raising her right arm up into the air as she would listen to the loud cheers of the crowd. She turned over towards her opponent, to eye the girl....eh ? Oh great...some bald punk revolution kinda girl ? She thought to herself as she then let out what would be an unmistakable disappointed sounding sigh. She would shake her head lightly from right to left and then shrugged, before she would simply stand there in the center of the ring, waiting for the match to start.

River didn't bother turning around as the music started and the crowd bleated- Cecilia was a fan favorite, obviously, and from the sound of things she was adept at whipping up the unwashed masses; compared to the lukewarm response she'd received, they were practically in a frenzy. Unsurprising - they probably expected this would be something of a bloodbath - a rookie going against the seasoned veteran? The former Hardcore Champion? Victory seemed like a foregone conclusion. She could already see some of the audience was filling out, treating this match like it was a bathroom break.

Let them think what they think. Life is full of little disappointments, and a wrestling ring isn't the only place you can get fighting experience from.

Instead of looking Cecilia's entrance, she was busy considering what to start with - the bat, maybe? A personal favorite, but perhaps a little too predictable at the outset, better used later. The brass knuckles could be interesting, but she wanted some reach. The chain?

She stopped contemplating when she heard the sigh come from behind, and turned around Cecilia being sized up and looking not at all impressed - taking her as seriously as the audience did, maybe even less. Confident, as a former hardcore champion would be. Let her be. Confidence often led to mistakes.

Definitely the chain.

Without even waiting for the bell, she pulled it out of the trashcan, wrapped some of it around her wrist to get a good grip, and spun around, swinging about three feet of chain straight at Cecilia, a horizontal lash aimed for her chest.

Cecilia couldn't help but feel a tad bit bored as she looked on at her opponent. Though this would probably be the first time the former Hardcore champion had faced off against a bald opponent, it wasn't the first time she had faced off against people that weren't trained in wrestling, people who still had managed to give her matches that were near losses and some rare few had even been losses. Even so, Cecilia currently was probably underestimating her opponent, but it certainly wasn't to the extend that she was coming off as she was.

In truth the blond bombshell was partly just putting on a show, an act if you will. While it was try that she felt as if this match was a bit of a joke. The crowd was certainly behind the Swedish beauty and that was usually a good thing, when the crowd was behind you, one could overcome a lot of things, the feeling of thousands of people cheering you on was one heck of a morale boost...though at the moment it felt sort of wasted here.

When she finally saw her opponent wrap that chain around her arm and spun around like she did. The Berserker knew that it couldn't be a good thing, she quickly tried to duck down low and escape the swing of the chain. Letting the metal links whoosh over her head. If she could manage to dodge the chain strike, the blond beauty would attempt and rush in low and try to drive her shoulder right into Styx stomach in an attempt to spear the girl right up into the corner.

She ducked. Simple move, good reflex. Impressive. Irritating.

Styx wasn't surprised - one didn't reach Cecilia's status without having good instincts, she supposed, and she'd come to the AFW to pit herself against the strongest...or, at least, opponent who were more confident that the thugs she typically went up against. But she was impatient - that look on Cecilia's face, it had to go, and it had to go in the most painful, exacting way possible.

She spun around, rolling with the momentum, and was about to lift the chain up and try to bring it down on Cecilia vertically - an effort that was stopped cold when the blustery blonde plow into her with a spear, driving her towards the corner, knocking over the trash can and spilling its contents as they went. She hit the turnbuckle with a grunt and nothing more, biting back a full; not a pleasant feeling, by any stretch, but she wasn't about to give this little bitch more than she deserved for it.

Besides, she wasn't totally taken off guard - the reason she'd chosen a chain was because it bolstered her attacks - both at a distance and up close. Versatile. Right after they hit, she raised up her chained fist and quickly spun the chain about, letting more of it wrap around her fist and forearm, and tried bring it down hard into Cecilia's back, drive it right into her spine - a hardcore hello.

"River Styx. Nice to meet you." No reason not to be cordial.

Pushing forward with her move after dodging the chain seemed to have gone rather well, as the blond beauty seemed to have been able to shoot herself forward and bury her shoulder deep into the gut of her bald opponent. Feeling how she buckled and got forced back against the corner, hitting the girl's back against the turnbuckle.

The goodies that Styx had brought down to the ring, spilling out the trashcan container that had once held them and the two girl's being stuck in the corner for now. If her opponent was decent, then Cecilia could expect a retaliation back at any moment, but if they were just trash then well...it wouldn't matter. It seemed to be the former case this time, as Cecilia could hear the sound of the chain rattling and just as she was about to try and pull back from the corner, a painful impact ran down the spine of the former Hardcore champion.

" Gngh!" She let out through gritted teeth as she dropped down onto her knees in front of her opponent, she arched her back and would glare up at the girl as she made her little introduction. Cecilia kept her teeth gritted as let out a low growl in annoyance, not really answering with her own greeting or anything at the moment.

A blonde, in pain, on her knees in front of River - this brought back so many pleasant memories.

The blow hit, nice and solid - it hurt River's fist a bit, scrapped her knuckles, but any damage she took would be worth it - so long as Northman got the lion's share. The Hardcore Queen looked back up with a markedly unroyal glower, as if the look was supposed to be her response attack. Honestly, it just made Styx want to hit her even more, and she was in the perfect position for it.

"'Hello, I'm Cecilia, how are you?'" She did a good impression of Cecilia's voice, making sure to add a little extra dash of Airheaded Bitch in her tone, just to fuck with Northman a bit more, as she reached down to grab Cecilia's long, blonde hair and ram her face right into a rising knee, looking to bash her straight on the nose - going for an early nosebleed. "Manners. Really."

Cecilia was gritting her teeth in pain from taking a strong attack right to her back, with a metal chain being used a a gauntlet to really seat in the pain on the blond beauties spine. She kept a glare up against her opponent as she made a mockery out of her and then reached down an grabbed a handful of Cecilia's long blond hair, close to the roots on the top of her head.

The former Hardcore wrestler had been in a tone of rough battles before and this one was no different. She quickly moved her arms up towards her face, crossing them in front of her face and taking the blunt of the knee strike against her crossed forearms. The Berserker let out a loud growl as she would try and grab at the hips of Styx, her arms were stinging with pain, but she bared through it and proceeded to attempt and shoot herself upwards, rising up with a jump to try and drive her skill right up against Styx's, depending if Styx was still looking down on Cecilia, she would either be hit square in the middle of her face, or if she had already straightened her head up, it would possibly collide against the girl's chin.

Pfft, blocked - impressive reflexes, at least. The match was young, but Styx honestly didn't see what all the fuss was with Northman. She wasn't exactly what one pictured when either the words 'hardcore' or 'queen' ran through your mind. The crowd seemed to like her enough, but they also seemed to like 'Extreme Kinky Pit Boxing', whatever the fuck that was. No accounting for taste.

As it so happened, she was looking down when Cecilia shot up, and the headbutt did hit her square in the face, right on her violet-tinged lips, nearly busting them with the spiteful impact. - girl had a mean spring in her step. Styx let out a gutteral growl as she winced, her face screwed with surprise and pain, and swung back at Cecilia with her chain fist to try and bust her in the side of her head.

Cecilia grit her teeth as she smacked the top of her head hard up against her opponent chin, showing the girl that the former Hardcore Queen was not one to mess with, She still knew that she had to act quickly...especially when Styx's arm came swinging with that chain wrapped around her arms. The blond beauty quickly tried to move her hands up to intercept to arm and grab a hold of it, hopefully stopping Styx's deadly punch.

If the actions went of smoothly, Cecilia would quickly try and step out of the corner, pulling on Styx's arm to try and get the girl along with her, only to finish it off by attempting to give a hard and powerful yank on the bald girl's arm and attempt to send her running off at full speed towards the other corner, with an Irish whip.
