Tension World Title: John Mitchel (c) vs. Makie Akamatsu

Makie hit the ground feet-first, wobbling uncertainly after an uneasy landing. Regaining her balance, she stood back up, and saw John stumbling drunkenly in the ring, holding the ropes uneasily for support. To be fair, she had just slammed the poor guy's skull into the turnbuckle, but she was a little surprised to see that he was still standing. The guy must have had a harder head than she had thought, which simply meant she'd have to keep hitting him harder.

If John hobbled upright, Makie quickly sprang back up to the edge of the ring and climbed up the ropes, clapping her hands to motivate her fans. The moment John got back upright, she would leap forward, spinning once in the air in the hope of nailing him with a flying moonsault!

“Itâ€s over, Anakin… I have the high ground.” John grumbled a bit, finding a bit of humor in his dizziness. He was still in the center of the ring, ideal for him to react and counter any attempt for his opponent to climb back in…but Makie didnâ€t appear to be one for simply climbing.

As he rubbed his eyes and got back to his senses, she saw Makie on the edge, clapping to the audience, who was cheering for her. She leapt up in to the air, flying at him and flipping in the moonsault

Stand or duck? John choose stand. It was high risk, but it could have a high reward. Instead of evading, he turned into the moonsault and tried to catch her in mid air with his strong arms…if it worked, he could EASILY slam her onto her back…if it failed, he would surely regret it. Being as dazed as he was, he might not have tried this under normal circumstances.

Makie felt tense as she clambered up onto the turnbuckle. This was it, she thought. If she nailed John with this attack, then there was no way he would be getting back up afterwards. In front of her, John was steadily clambering back up to his feet, still looking dazed. The time to strike was now.

Taking a deep breath, Makie sprang off the turnbuckle, flipping elegantly in the air as she launched herself at John. At the last possible moment, though, John, in a moment of sudden awareness, snatched out with his arms. Makie gasped as John grabbed her around her slender waist, and kicked her legs uselessly in the air as John held her upside down. "Wha...H-HEY!"

The, with a sudden rush of blood to the head, gravity kicked in as John dropped backwards. A jolt of impact shot up Makie's spine as she was slammed down to the mat. Her upper body shot up off the mat, a look of shock and pain on her stunned face, before she toppled onto her back, her leg kicking weakly at the mat. "Nnnngh..."

John was panting and heaving. That move had taken quite a lot out of him, quite a lot indeed, but luckily he was still in this fight. As for his opponent, she looked a lot worse off. Makie was on the ground, writhing in pain. She kicked her legs against the mat while her face looked like a cross between shock and pain. Looks like John had surprised her.

John didnâ€t hesitate at all this time. He got back to his feet, panting as his wobbly legs gave him a slight delay, and went over to Makie. If he waited any longer, she might turn the tables once more. She was certainly one of the most dangerous opponents heâ€d ever faced.

Seeing he ron the ground, John tried to scoop her up and get her legs on his shoulders while he stood back up. He tried to move as quick as he could, knowing she was slippery and could try anything. Unless she countered, John would then stand up, with her on his shoulders, back facing the mat, and then SLAM her down hard on her back, falling with her to try to go for a pinning power bomb, standing over her and pressing his weight down to hold her while he pinned her.

"Nnnh..." Makie groaned as she lay on her back, arching slightly as she tried to ignore the throbbing pain in her spine. John had gotten her good just now, and she clenched her teeth as she tried to muster the strength to get back up. "Ffffffuck..." she cursed.

John, however, was up before her, and before long she found herself being hoisted up. Groaning, she was unable to resist as John hoised her onto her shoulders, and for a brief moment, she found herself pressed close to him, her chest flattening against his back as she was lifted up like a sack of hay.

Groaning, she dimly realized what was going on, and tried to counter, though her hurting body moved slowly. She suddenly found herself hurting backwards, and was slammed hard between the mat and John. "UUUGH!" she cried as she lay flattened under John, her legs hooked back as the ref girl started the countdown.

"One..."

John let out a groan, showing the strain and the tool this girl had taken, as he lifted her up and threw her down. He heaved, then SLAMMED Makie down into the mat, letting her body hit the ground hard.

No one could say he took it easy on her, when he tried to outside the ring he paid dearly. He wouldnâ€t disrespect this excellent fighter by doing that again.

John panted for breath…clearly the big guy was tiring, but he was pushing through on adrenalin, holding her body against the mat, doing all he could to keep the prawn hold like position.

“Two…”

For a moment, Makie lay unresponsive underneath John as her male opponent wrapped her up for the pin. In the background, her fans were screaming and clapping, imploring their champion to get back up and keep fighting, even as the ref girl's countdown continued.

Something must have worked. Although Makie's eyes were closed, she gave a slight groan and twisted her slender body sideways, barely getting a shoulder up. The ref girl was quickly in John's face, telling him to break, as Makie's face erupted into relieved cheers.

John tried to keep her down…but before the ref could get to three, she got her shoulder up!

“AH??” The ref girl actually startled John…honestly, she didnâ€t need to get in his face. He was up as soon as he processed what had happened.

He stepped back a foot, looking Makie over and shaking his head slightly…then he put his two hands together…and clapped. Quite hard. A few times. With feeling. John was applauding his opponent.

“Thought I had you…very impressive.” John had waited a moment, enough to give her a sporting chance he thought, so heâ€d come back over to her, intending to scoop her up and try to toss her out of the ring…though she could easily have gotten up by now, which meant he just would have come in to lock up.

Makie let out a deep breath as she managed to get a shoulder up. Her back was hurting after that slam, and she didn't know how many heavy moves like that she could take. She was still in this fight, but she had no idea how much longer she could manage things. As John got off of her, she rolled to her side, groaning as she tried to push herself back up.

"Nnnh..." Hearing John's words, Makie pressed her palms to the mat and started to push herself up. "Not here...to impress you...here to beat you..." She didn't have time to finish, however, before John hoisted her up sideways. Gasping, she could only shoot a weak elbow at his head before she suddenly found herself flying out of the ring.

She had a brief, fleeting moment of terror before she slammed down, chest-first, into the ringside floor. "OOOOOPH!" The blow sent her rolling sideways before sprawling uselessly on her back. Her eyes were closed as she lay outside the ring, and her fans screamed as she appeared to have been knocked out completely.

The elbow hit his head, but it wasnâ€t nearly as strong as she had managed before. All the same, John really wanted to wrap this up before he started to tire out. Long duration matches werenâ€t the big powerhouseâ€s strong suit. “Howâ€s that working out for you, then?” He asked as he hoisted her up, then tossed her down.

He heard the shouts, thinking she was out. Well, that was all well and good…but unless it was falls count anywhere, that NO dq stipulation wasnâ€t going to help him even if she was out down there. Sighing, he got on the other side of the ropes, standing on the ring apron and looking over her, before he jumped down, intending to double stomp her with his boots prior to throwing her back into the ring.
