Soiree or Stay In? (For Imhotep)

"Please. A head as hard as mine? It can handle whatever punishment you dish out," Domino chides, musing easily at his own expense. He gets the feeling Mindy won't make him regret the self-deprecating joke. But to make it further clear, the teen drifts to the side to gently bump his shoulder to hers. "You stunned me. Long enough for a pin. That time." Wink.

When they reach the door, Domino stays a pace back to give her plenty of room to work, not to mention a little privacy. Who knows, maybe the contents of her purse or pockets are a closely-guarded secret? As he waits, his hands link behind his back and he begins to innocently bob on his feet.

"Oh, really?," she replied as Domino bumped into her. "I heard that concussions can cause amnesia... that would explain why you forgot your card!" She opened her wallet, taking the keycard into her hand. "Hah, just kidding. I'm sure a big, strong guy like you wouldn't let himself get pinned by a girl twice in a row, right?" Her words had just a sprinkle of irony into it, as he was in no way bigger than her.

*beep*

With a beep and a green flash, the door was unlocked. As she stepped inside, however, Mindy fell silent. The atmosphere between the two of them was light, but the fact that she was sneaking a man into the female dorms now bugged her again with increased strength. It felt kind of forbidden... "I hope we don't bump into anyone," she thought as she made her way to the stairs.

Actually? Comparatively? Truthishly? Mindy's slightly taller than Domino. So her words come off as a little disingenuous, but not cruelly so. It simply earns a smirk and gentle elbowing towards her ribs.

And then the two are entering the dorms! It's the first time Domino has actually glimpsed the female apartments. He knows there are some who are prone to invading and staging matches in bedrooms, but that's not something he's ever done - or even really considered doing, for that matter. So he regards the space with a wide-eyed curiosity, noting how completely silent it is. As they start up the steps, the teen attempts to keep his footfalls as silent as possible, as if picking up on Mindy's apprehension. But it certainly doesn't keep him from addressing her in hushed tones.

"Hope your place isn't too messy. Ooh, is it littered with ponies? Dolphin posters? Magazines?," he teases. He slides in next to her, brushing his arm against hers coyly. "Magazines featuring meee~?"

Mindy made her way up the stairs, carefully looking ahead of her. Thankfully, there was no one in the second floor corridor. "Good thing it's so late..." It looked like the coast was clear; all they had to do was get to Mindy's room and she could stop worrying about getting found out. As she walked through the corridor, though, Mindy couldn't help but notice Domino looking all around him with a curious look on his face. A little exclamation mark popped over her head when he mentioned magazines. "N-nothing like that," she whispered back. This guy was so carefree! "Listen, we're almost at my room, so let's keep quiet until-"

Mindy froze in place. One of the doors had opened, and out of it came a redhead with black lacy lingerie and bare feet. It was Mindy's neighbor. "Don'tlookthiswaydon'tlookthiswaydon'tlook..." But she naturally looked their way, and as her eyes spotted the pair her sleepy expression gave way to a bemused smile. The woman leaned against the wall with arms crossed, watching them in silence.

Looking straight at her feet, Mindy gathered some courage and started walking again. She would keep her head low and, enduring the sly stare, try to get in front of her room's door, which was straight across the redhead's. "G'night," she muttered awkwardly as she came closer to the woman.

But of course the redhead wouldn't pass the chance to tease the rookie. Just as Mindy turned her back to her, she spoke. "Hey, new girl! Nice catch! Who's the stud?" Silence. The muscle girl blushed heavily as she fumbled to find her key. "Aw, don't give me the cold shoulder! I'm not asking you to share, if that's what you're afraid of."

Domino chuckles to himself as Mindy grows ever-increasingly nervous. He has to wonder just what she'd do if they were caught-

Open door! The teen's eyes widen, and he shoots a look to the blonde at his side. Aw, look at that. She has that 'deer-in-headlights' thing going! When he looks forward again, he finds Mindy's concerned fully realized; she's been caught. Redhanded. With a boy. How scandalous! Now, Domino could furtively look at the floor and murmur non-committal pleasantries in hopes of skirting the situation, but that's just not how he's feeling the moment.

"'Sup," the model greets casually. "Ring name's Domino. Nice to meet'cha, red."

A glance is cast back to Mindy, who appears engrossed with getting her lock undone. But he's completely certain she can hear everything that's being said. It all but echoes in the corridor. He can't not have fun with the poor, flustered rookie. So with a coy smile, he again looks to the lace-wearing interloper. "I'll try to keep it down."

Mindy finally found the key inside her jacket's pockets, but she almost dropped it when she heard Domino. Keep it down? Keep what down? The hint of innuendo in his tone didn't escape her, either. But she didn't say a thing, telling herself that this conversation would be over in a second. She stuck the key into the lock-

"Amber," Mindy's neighbor replied. "EnchantÃe." The redhead shared a complicit look with Domino, happy to find out he was more talkative than the rookie. "Oh, and don't mind me! She's pretty quiet, so I'm actually kind of curious to hear what her voice sounds like when she's near the edge..."

Click. A very agitated, red-eared Mindy shoved the door open and grabbed the back of Domino's shirt, practically trying to pull him into the room with her. It was at moments like these when she really forgot to control her strength... if she managed to get him inside, he would only be able to see Amber for a few more seconds before the blonde closed the door shut. "Eager to get going, I see. If you need any help, just knock, okay?" The redhead's last words were followed with a wink at the model.

"Amber," Domino repeats in a purr. "Enchantee, ma petite. We-"

Domino finds a hand gripping the back of his shirt. With a surprised, but delighted yelp, the model finds himself stumbling back into the other girl's room. He doesn't even have long enough to toss out a parting line! But that by itself is plenty testimony to how poor Mindy must have been feeling. It's delicious. And when that door is shut, the teen turns around to lean back against it and fold his arms over his chest, casting a playful smile to the blonde.

"I think she liked me," he chirps.

He allows his amethyst eyes to break from Mindy, taking in the contents of her personal room.

The blonde's room was essentially one of the standard ones given out by the AFW, so its furniture was nothing exceptional. A chair and desk, on top of which laid a closed laptop. A mini-fridge. A wall shelf, filled with lots of very small books and a few very big ones. A low, Japanese-style table in the center. A closed wardrobe. A bed, which indicated Mindy had gotten up from it recently due to its messy state and the set of pajamas lying on it. The only exceptional items were a pair of identical dumbbells, sitting in a corner; a vase of pink camellias next to the window, which gave the room a faint flowery aroma; and a blue gymnastics mat, which covered a good part of the small remaining space.

Flustered, Mindy walked to the center of the room and put her plastic bag on the table before turning to face Domino. He looked quite satisfied, but she didn't share his state of mind. Not looking him into the eye, she sported a blush and a troubled expression that was extremely easy to read. "... sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your conversation. It's just... well..." That was a lie. Of course she had meant to interrupt, she simply couldn't stand being teased like that!

It was better to change the subject. "I'll make some space for you," she said, crouching next to the mat to roll it up and prop it against the wall.

Each little corner of the room is noted in turn, but in the end, Domino is a touch disappointed. Here he was hoping for something fun and girlie. Why, she didn't even have a single poster of a unicorn, robotic or otherwise!

Leaning off the door, Domino offers an amiable, "You're cute." Which was true. The poor girl looks like she could just curl into herself and vanish. And she's playing that demure card so well! When she starts to roll up the mat, Domino quickly drops down beside her. "Lemme help!"

And help he does. Though from this low angle, his eyes flit aside to her bed.

...there's something under it. He abandons the mat-rolling and dips lower to fish his hand about until he retrieves something. A book? A... magazine?

"What's this, babe? Are you hidin' this?" With little consideration for why she might do such a thing, he begins leafing through the pages.

Hearing the random compliment, Mindy decided to stay silent (what do you say in response to that, anyway?), but nevertheless it still provoked a weird feeling inside her chest. She was used to being praised in the gym, so why was this one particular compliment having this effect on her? Was it because they were all alone?

Truth to be told, she was perfectly able to roll the mat by herself, but she was not in the right mindset to stop him. After all, he just wanted to help. It's not like this situation could go bad in any way...

At least, that's what she thought until she saw Domino shifting towards the underside of her bed. "What is he doing... OH NO!" She at once remembered about the only thing he could possibly be reaching for, and just a moment later he pulled the Thing from under the bed and started flipping through it, right before Mindy's mortified eyes.

"N-NO! NO! HANDS OFF!" In a sudden burst of movement, the blonde lunged at Domino, trying to snag the magazine out of his grasp. But it was too late already - he would be able to take at least a glimpse of its contents, page after page of nude, attractive men!
