Fiery Hearts: Makie Akamatsu vs Mindy Priest

Makie dropped down to her back, and was satisfied to hear Mindy crash onto her back opposite her. As Makie sat back up, s"Ohe saw that Mindy was down on her back, stunned from the head kick and complaining bitterly. Makie almost wanted to smile at Mindy's distress-- she was so inexperienced, it almost made her feel guilty.

"Okay!" Makie replied cheerfully. "How about other parts of your body instead?" Before Mindy could even respond, Makie forwards, aiming to take advantage of Mindy's prone position to run past her, propel herself off the ropes, and flip forwards to drive a knee hard into Mindy's firm abs.

After having her brain rattled inside her skull twice in a row, Mindy was having trouble regaining her balance. Makie was simply rushing her again and again, taking advantage of the rookie's lack of experience by dictating the rhythm of the fight. It was embarrassing to be brought down by such basic moves, but so far Mindy had no answer to Makie's superior speed.

As she tried to recover, the muscle girl then heard her opponent's cheerful yet threatening suggestion. "Eh...?" Mindy's head followed Makie's quick movements, and when she saw the girl running past her and grabbing the ropes she realized just what was coming at her. "Yah!" As the knee above her made its descent towards her abs, Mindy reacted on reflex and lifted one shoulder off the mat, rolling to the side; if she was fast enough, she would narrowly avoid the knee drop.

Makie's heart pounded as she raced across the ring, rebounding expertly off the ropes as she came bouncing back at Mindy. The larger muscle girl was still prone on the mat, an easy target for Makie's knee drop. So far in this match, the muscle girl was too slow and inexperienced to counter any of Makie's hits-- Kyo must have had a field day knocking her around the ring, Makie thought with a wry grin. At this rate, she'd have a lot to learn before she could be taken seriously in AFW

Even as Makie leapt forward to deliver a knee drop, however, Mindy suddenly rolled sharply out of the way. Wide-eyed, Makie was unable to stop herself before her knee collided hard with the bare mat. She yowled in pain as she rebounded onto her side, where she lay clutching her hurting knee. "D-dammit!" she hissed. Knowing that she couldn't afford to stay on the mat like this, Makie willed herself to move, trying to get back up to her knees before Mindy could take advantage of her downed position. "Nnh...lucky move..."

Finally snapping out of her daze, Mindy rolled away, avoiding the knee drop in the nick of time. Her head had seen better days, but at least her abs were still intact. The blonde's narrow dodge was immediately followed by a loud yelp, but she didn't pay attention to it, more concerned with getting some distance between herself and the Japanese girl. She rolled a few feet away before rising to one knee, pulling a few strays of disheveled hair away from her face and looking at her opponent.

At this moment, Mindy would have loved some time to plan out her next move, but she didn't have that luxury: Makie was already on her knees and getting up as well. She had to do something - anything - before the black-haired girl started running circles around her again. Mindy settled for the first thing that crossed her mind, and with a battle cry she pounced at Makie, aiming to hit her with a shoulder tackle and drive her back down to the mat before she got on her feet.

It was finally dawning on Makie that she had severely underestimated Mindy-- the fact that she was a rookie who had already been defeated by Kyo had allowed her to get overconfident, and thus it had never occurred to Makie that Mindy would be able to roll out of the way in time. She cursed herself inwardly as she pushed herself up to her knees, resolving not to make that mistake again. "Not bad. You're not as slow as you look--"

A cry from Mindy's direction caused Makie to spin to face the American-- just in time to see Mindy lunging right at her. The Japanese girl only had time to give an alarmed "WHA-?" before Mindy slammed into her. The air erupted forcefully from Makie's lungs, and she was sent crashing down onto her back with the muscle girl on top of her. Underneath Mindy, Makie gasped loudly for breath, and the audience began to cheer a little at the sight of these two lovely ladies lying practically chest-to-chest.

It all happened in a blur, and Mindy had little time to think. After practically throwing herself at Makie, her left shoulder buried itself in the Japanese girl's torso with a direct hit, and both wrestlers crashed into the mat. Mindy had the advantage of having someone below her to cushion her fall, but Makie herself wasn't nearly as fortunate, and the impact of her back made the mat shake a little before settling down.

Mindy panted, lying on top of her opponent. She had succeeded, but she didn't really plan on what to do after that. What now? What now? Her mind raced, thinking of her grappling classes in search for some appropriate move. But, at the same time, she didn't want Makie to recover, so she fell back to the basics. "Headlock!" Mindy would snake one arm around the back of Makie's head, pull her close and try to sit up on her lower abs, dragging the Japanese with her in a sort of sitting frontal headlock. Immobilizing her was the priority, she thought; she could figure out what else to do later.

For a few moments, Makie lay under Mindy, panting against the girl's shoulder as she tried to catch her breath. Mindy's sudden football tackle had hit her fast and hard, and had left her stunned, hurting and pinned. Already, the ref girl was circling the two, about to start a pin count, and in the background, Makie's fans, stunned by this upset, screamed at her to break free somehow. Another section of the crowd, though, impressed by this buxom rookie, cheered Mindy on.

"Unnngh..." Makie moaned, shaking her head slightly to shake off the dizziness. She felt Mindy's weight shift on her, and suddenly, one Mindy's powerful arms circled around her short-haired head, flattening her face around her opponent's tanned shoulder. Feeling the pressure, alarm bells went off in Makie's head even as Mindy sat up, bringing Makie's upper body off the mat with her. The lighter Japanese girl scrabbled in Mindy's grip, pawing at her encircling arm with one hand and pressing a palm up against Mindy's face as she frenziedly fought to escape. "Mmmmhnph!" As she thrashed against the powerful American, she balled her fist and tried sending two closed shots against Mindy's abs, hoping to loosen her grip.

Now sitting up and in possession of Makie's head, Mindy had somewhat restrained her movements, buying her some time to think... although the move's execution left much to be desired. Even though Makie couldn't escape easily, both her arms were completely free, and unsurprisingly she used them to their full extent in her attempts to break free. Mindy now had to deal with a palm pushing against her cheek, in addition to two punches to the side of her abs. She made a mental note to practice this move better before trying it next time.

Right now, though, she had to deal with the mess she had already done. "Gh... Gh!" She endured the successive punches, tensing her rock-hard abs. In her current position, she had no way to reach Makie's fist without letting go of her head, so she would have to tough it out for now. Her free hand went to grab the girl's other wrist, pulling it away from her face and dragging it down. Mindy now had a semblance of a plan. Letting go of the wrist, she would quickly try to get her one arm under the girl's armpit, more or less pinning the veteran's arm against her chest. The blonde would then clasp her hands together behind Makie and squeeze, with her shoulder and forearm acting like a nutcracker to crush Makie's head.

Struggling and twisting in an effort to get free, Makie huffed as she slammed her fist against Mindy's abs, each impact against the other girl's rock-hard abs hurting her knuckles. She was going into panic mode now as the larger girl squeezed into her, and she knew that she had to get free or risk being crushed by those impressive muscles. "Unnnghaa.."

Suddenly, an arm clamped around the hand that had been probing against Mindy's face. Makie gave a muffled gasp as her arm was forced down, and a second later, she felt her shoulder encircled neatly and trapped under her opponent's warm bosom. Pain flared in her shoulder and skull as Makie was compressed, and she gave a muffled cry against Mindy's muscled arm, her legs kicked uselessly at the mat. "MRRRRRHAA! LRGGO!" she managed to shout, her face a deep shade of read from both the pain she was in, and from being womanhandled so easily by a rookie.

Mindy hugged Makie's head as close to her body as possible, not wanting to give her an inch of space for her to wriggle around. This was partly due to her own insecurity: she had no idea if this crummy hold, conceived in the heat of the moment, would have any effect on the Japanese girl, so not knowing how much strength to put into it she simply concentrated on making it as tight as possible.

At this point, Mindy would have preferred to simply squeeze Makie down with all her might... but she as finding it hard to. With her own hands occupied, she couldn't stop Makie's relentless barrage of punches to her abs, which hurt her and disrupted her breath. She might have one tough six-pack, but she was not made of steel! She now groaned after each strike, with a small area of her abs growing red from the insistent battering. She just couldn't concentrate like this. "Ngh... NO! YOU stop!" She flexed her arms to add more pressure to the headlock, wanting to drive the point home.
