In Past Times

Cougra kept her distance so she can make Anampo feel more comfortable as she said, "My name is Deborah, but others call me Cougra because of...well..." She pointed to her own cat ears feeling a little embarassed to even mention it.

Ryan just avoided tensing up at how Anampo was acting afraid, but he kept his face neutral and composed.

Deciding he should stay a bit back so Anampo didn't scurry off he said "I'm....John Grange. Me and Cougra are new in this town, who are you?" he already knew it, but figured the girl would be a lot more comfortable if she introduced herself.

She was about to runif she could find an exit.But,Anampo was greeted by these two.John and Cougra. "Um...Hello." She heard that they were new in town.So,they hadnt seen what has happened to her.The pushes,shoves,words. "Im Anampo" She says slowly. "Welcome." Her body calmed,and she sat upright again.

Nick watched from afar.Not wanting to really conversate with the three of them.He smiled,taking out a pocket-watch to check the time.What was he supposed to do? Nick just couldnt put his finger on it.Someting with his other friends.But what was it? His face would look stoic in hard thought.

Ryan smiled, thankfully Anampo hadn't cut and run. He could tell something was off, it reminded him again of his youth.

Mr Knight took a few steps forward and said "Hello Anampo, how has the day been going? We've had a heck of a travel to get to this town ain't that right Cougra?" Looking towards Deborah, the pair cared for Anampo so he figured they should put on a united front for her.

Cougra nodded as she said, "Right, Ryan. We are unfamiliar with the people here and you seem like a very nice person. Uhhh..." She would scratch her cat ears a little, still embarassed that Anampo won't remember this. "I look silly with my cat ears, do I?"

Anampo quickly warms up to the two.THey didnt look as threatening as before.Heck,One of them was a year younger than her! "Um,Yes.Nice to meet you.She looked over to the girl. "Your...Cat ears?" She saw them,then immediately went into her own school bag and pulled out various and dated comic books.Much of them of non-superhero people.One of them looked similar to Cougra,with the cat ears and all. "No...Look at these,Miss."

Eventually,Nick came over to see what was taking up such time.He had to refrain from saying something about the comics.He and Anampo were of the few smart kids in school,and he needed the connection. "Hey,You guys uh,r-ready

Cougra would see the comic books and grabbed them to take a closer look. "Wow...there are a lot of girls here that wear them. Hmm, they don't seem stylish like mine. Most seem too common nowadays."

She didn't seem to notice Nick talking until she looked up. "Oh, not yet! Can Anampo show us around?"

Ryan had no real knowledge of comics, he preferred history books and classical literature. Nonetheless he did his best to make a good impression.

"These are in great condition, I like it when people look after their things." Ryan said, he smiled after it.

He then looked to Nick and said "I concur with her, assuming that Anampo is okay with that......"

Now why would the two want to have a nobody lead them around? But,Nick had to recall that he had something to do.Even if he coulldnt remember exactly what it was.He shrugged. "Sure,But I'd not expect her to--" Anampo cut him off quickly with a voice of happiness. "Y-Yes! I'll show them around" This took Nick instantly to another level on the scale of respect for this gray-eyed girl.Not much higher,though.Anampo stood up as Nick left. "So,um...What shall I show you?"

Ryan was thankful that Anampo would lead him and Cougra around the town, her happiness was a very high priority of his. She was worth it in the mind of Mr Knight.

"Is there a store where you got these comics? I'd be interested in taking a look." Ryan asked, he wanted to make sure she was up for things that would appeal to her.
