Stopping a Monster

The lights of the AFW arena dimmed. Spotlights of violet and indigo shined down across the audience. A [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj5ot7zq1wk:2i00a2av]theme[/url:2i00a2av] started to play and the spotlights all centered to the ramp at the entrance. Aurora, wearing a two-piece wrestling outfit of pink and purple tights, emerged into the light. Beside her was her manager, Mamouru. Her pink tights even said 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month' along the rim of her waist. She had a microphone in her hand. This was the first time she had ever been in front of this audience. In her own mind, though, it was no different than her old job back in the US. The blonde slid into the ring and waited about ten seconds for her music to dim.

The woman lifted up the microphone to her mouth and waited a moment before speaking. "There are a lot of types of people in the AFW." She slowly paced around the ring, making sure to pan across the full 360 degrees around her. "There are good hearted ones. Women who enjoy the thrill of competition, the fame, the attention...the glory. And then..." Aurora stopped and looked off in one direction. "There are those who are only here for the opportunity to hurt others." She crossed her arms for a second before turning around and continuing.

"One of those girls...is Cassie...the Crippler Elliot." The name alone made Aurora angry beyond belief. Cassie had never even said a word to her, and the name infuriated her. "She has the appearance of an innocent little redhead...but the temper and viciousness of a rabid bear." Aurora inadvertently started pacing again. "She has brutally injured not one...not two...but three straight opponents. One of them will never walk the same again. One of them may never wave at a passing friend again. And one...nearly died right in front of you all."

Aurora stopped for a few moments. "I know that's not why you all come here. You're probably here for the same reason I am. I enjoy watching women duke things out...whether with their fists or...in some other way." That last bit was added just to appeal to all the perverts in the audience. "But I'm certain none of you buy tickets to have to watch hopeful, cute women have their arms torn off...or knees broken inward...or jaws crushed inward by some psycho sadist." There were plenty of agreeing murmurs but not many real cheers.

"I will stop her. I will make sure she never hurts anyone in this league again. I will bring that monster down if not only for every optimistic and inspired young woman who has to cross paths with her in the future, then for those who have already had to face her torture." The crowd cheered as if they thought it was their queue to do so. Aurora then dropped the microphone and slid out of the ring. She started walking up the ramp, clearly with determination for her goal. It was clear her resolve would not falter, as all she had done in the promo was talk about how she planned to stop Cassie. It wasn't about her debut in the AFW, she never even said her own name. It was about putting an end to Cassie's reign of terror.
