The artist's model part 3 (ForTheWamts)

John lightly frowned and said "Well I guess I can tell you that."

He then sat back down on the couch and said "Years ago, when I was young I used to play out in the back garden. By accident and some childish idiocy I knocked a beehive down during my playtime in the garden."

"There was a large buzzing cloud in front of me, I blacked out shortly after with the stinging pain getting more and more painful. When I woke up I was in the hospital, my face felt like it was sent into a meat grinder. I had to spend the week getting myself all treated and that, I wouldn't wish it on my worst foe." John said with his eyes closed.

The art student then said "I think I should get going now Lia, I prefer to be early to my class." he's kiss her forehead after doing that.

Lia winced while John retold his story, her mental picture of a swarm of angry insects swarming and attacking him and John's face looking swollen wasn't a very pretty one. She regretted asking the question now, but at least she knew a little bit more about him.

She kissed him goodbye, following him though the door, she wasn't planning on staying here. "Hope that painting of yours gets good!", of course referring to the one that John made two days earlier, he said it was for a school project, so she guessed that he'd be turning it in today.

John smiled as he got up "I'm sure it will, catch you later Lia." he said.

The art student pointed to a bag and said "All my stuff is in there, I prepare way ahead of my actual class just to be on the safe side." giving a small laugh at the end of it.

With that he stood up, dusting off his trousers and saying "There's a key under the doormat, keep it. Seeing as how we're lovers and all that."
John would give Lia one big hug before picking up his bag and leaving the room, winking at Lia before shutting the door.

"Awesome, thanks!" She hugged him back and waved him goodbye as she looked around John's home, alone now.

A few minutes later, Lia too walked out of the door. She pawed around the doormat before finding it. It probably wouldn't come into too much use since they didn't live exactly close, but the gesture was nice. Locking the door, she too walked off into the street and seeing what was around. But mostly her head was filled with thoughts on what they were going to do in the afternoon.

John kept his eyes on the road as he drove down the road towards his college. But a smile was on his lips, the AFW and Lia was just the thing he needed. A nice change of pace in his life to help him feel alive.

The class was going by well enough, John had handed in his painting of Lia (Reluctantly.) It had gotten great marks thanks of how Lia had looked in it. Mr Carnaby was almost swelling with pride and joy as the class went on, lunch went by and John made his way to dining area when a poster reached the corner of his eye.

"Hm? What's this?" he muttered to himself as he took the poster into his hands.

"A college dance? Tickets still available!" John thought as he read the contents.

"When's it on? Tonight...I wonder, why not." John muttered as he made his way to buy a couple of tickets.
Later when his class ended John checked his blue long coat, showing two tickets for the dance.

"Hope she'll say yes...." the art student said to himself as he walked out the building. taking his phone out he would call his girl and hope she'd pick up....

Ever since she got a second chance at her life a year ago, Lia wanted to see as much she could of everything, it was one of the reasons she ha scone here to Japan in the first place, and so far this way of living had brought her a lot of good things. Namely, she met John. She had just walked into a western styled coffee store when her phone began buzzing. Stepping off to a corner, she opened it.

"Hello? John? What's up?"

John smiled as he carried on walking "Hi Lia, just got out of class at college. I'm pleased to announce that the painting the pair of us made got high marks. But there was no doubt in my mind there."

"Uh also there was an event that's happening tonight at my college and I thought we could go and attend it, seeing how we got a lot of time on our hands and all that."

The art student would lightly cough and say "It's a dance event, happening later tonight. We could go their if you're up for it."

"Tonight? No problem, never been to a dance before, but that sounds good!" Lia was pretty excited on hearing those words, and although it was a little bit short on notice, it wasn't as if she had any plans other than to spend it with John to begin with. "So we're still meeting same time, or earlier for the dance?"

"We can meet the same time Lia, it ain't on till a good while." John said as he entered his car.

"So where you at? I'll set my GPS and head over to your location." the art student would reach over to his GPS to ensure it was on.

Once Lia told him where she was John would say "Alright Lia, I'll need to hang up. There's a law that you can't use your phone and drive at the same time."

"Oh, I'm just at this coffee shop... Um... It's called Java Pit, it's like 3 blocks away from your house.", she said stepping out to read the name. "Ya, sure thing, hate for you to get arrested today. Love you!" she hung up, before getting a latte and waiting for John.

But then, she noticed what she was wearing. It was a very simple outfit, on the lighter side for fall clothes, and it didn't look at all nice enough for a dance. What would she do?
