Eye in the Ointment

Lukretia tapped her fingers on her desk with her chin resting neatly in the palm of the other hand. She always had a lot on her plate but there were a few things in particular that she really took issue with lately. The kawaii division had gotten a lot bolder as of late. Lukretia didn't like that one bit. The kleinkind, as she called them, were exactly that, little children. They weren't wrestlers, they existed to be dressed up in lolita costumes and paraded around. It made Lukretia a little sick to her stomach. Especially when she thought that they believed they belonged in the same league as other girls with real talent who put blood, sweat and tears into the AFW arena.

She was tall and brutish and under slave-like control of a rather worthless individual named Kyla Fairchild. Lukretia looked up everything she could about Iron Maiden and found the girl's story heartbreaking. If she could do anything personally for the girl, she would in an instant. But she doubted even with her great wealth and charm she would be able to pry her from the grip of Ms. Fairchild. The woman was the weakest of the weak and someone Lukretia utterly despised. She hated watching Iron Maiden's matches but found them utterly enthralling as well. The girl was strong and if she wasn't an infant mentally, she could very well be the AFW's fiercest competitors.

Lukretia decided she wanted to know more about how this Iron Maiden operated as well as Kyla Fairchild. She'd meet with them in person face to face, but for now, she had something else in mind. Another way to deal with both of her little problems in one fell swoop. So when Hilde was surprised that Lukretia personally requested to see Kagami Celeste, the current Kawaii Champion, Lukretia played it off coyly. But the request was sent and Lukretia eased back in her chair and waited for the arrival of the petite champion.

Kagami walked through the halls of the AFW with a look of unease on her face. Today she was been requested to meet with Lukretia, a woman Kagami knew very little about. Kagami did know one thing and that was she was extremely nervous. Kagami now stood in front of the door to Lukretia's office. Kagami meekly opened the door and peered inside before taking a step inside. "Um, Hello, i am the Kawaii champion Kagami. I was told Ms. Lukretia requested to see me." Kagami said as she looked around the room wondering just what the General Manager of Friction wanted with her.

Hilde was busy clacking away at her keyboard when Kagami shyly entered the office. She was always the first line of defense before anyone could see Lukretia. Hilde perked up when Kagami entered and smiled warmly. "Ms. Celeste. It's good to see you. The girl really WAS small. Hilde would be nine inches taller than her. But Lukretia wouldn't actually be THAT much taller. Unfortunately for most, Lukretia's small stature didn't matter too much. Her personality almost always made her the biggest person in the room.

Lukretia is ready to see you. Go on and go right in. I'll buzz her." Hilde pressed her intercom. "Kagami Celeste is here to see you now, Ms. Von Creuzfeldt." Hilde said and then smiled one more time at Kagami "And don't be too intimidated." She said, giving the girl one last piece of advice before she went back to typing.

Kagami looked up when the secretary talked to her "OH, ok." Kagami said as Hilde told her not to be intimidated. Kagami didn't know what to think after hearing that statement but she moved towards the door the Hilde mentioned. Kagami opened the door slowly before taking a step in and closing the door behind her. "Um, Ms. Creutzfeldt, I am Kagami. You requested to see me." Kagami said meekly as she was still quite nervous about meeting with the General Manager of Friction.

Lukretia stood up when Kagami entered. She smiled down at the girl and eased around her desk. "Vilkommen meine kleinkind." She said as she made her way towards Kagami. "You are ze kavaii champion, are you not? You must feel quite proud of yourself." Lukretia said almost sneering as she said the words. "Vell, vith such accomplishments come even greater responsibilities. I have something zat I vould like for you to do zat I hope you'll find quite entertaining.

She turned and grabbed a manilla envelope and handed it to Kagami. A champion must never be shy, right? As ze pinnacle of ze kavaii league, it falls upon your vinzige shoulders to be ze bridge zat connects ze kavaii league und ze Friction league, is it not?"

KLukretia passed the envelop to Kagami. "Have you ever done an interview before, Kleinkind?"

Kagami stood completely still as Lukretia stood up and greeted her. Kagami was almost frozen completely still with nervousness even though Lukretia seemed to be complementing her. Kagami however, could only understand some of what Lukretia was saying as the General Managers accent was extreme;y heavy and Kagami wasn't used to hearing it. "An interview? No, i have never done an interview before." Kagami managed to say in a meek voice as she took the envelope from Lukretia. Kagami couldn't help but be extremely intimidated by Lukretia and Kagami was afraid that if she did something wrong this woman in front of her would rip her to pieces.

Lukretia smiled as she watched Kagami practically become a statue right before her. "Kleinkind." She said as she reached out her hand and brushed it along Kagami's cheek. She pushed her face forward so she stared into Kagami's eyes, bringing their lips close. " You should relax." You are not in trouble. You haven't done anything wrong. On ze contrary. I am revarding you for vhat you have done."

Lukretia pulled back and let her hand slide down Kagami's cheek, down her neck, brushing over her breast and then continuing down Kagami's arm until she grabbed Kagami's hand. She pulled it up and then placed the Envelope into the hand. "I have questions I vant you to ask one of our newest Frictions girls. Vell, I vant you to talk to her manager. You'll understand vhy vhen you see her. However, I don't vant you to be shy like you are right now. It vill not do. Once you are done conducting an interview vith ze girl's manager, I vant you to ask ze questions I have provided to ze girl directly. You must be persistent, it is imperative zat you do everything in your power to get ze job done. It's a very important job."

Lukretia lifted her hand and placed it on Kagami's head, peering into her one eye. "Do you understand?" She said. "Perhaps vhen you do zis interview, you vill realize you have found a vervandte Seele, a kindred spirit."

Kagami continued to remain frozen in her spot as Lukretia moved close to her and placed her hand on Kagami's cheek. Kagami felt a shiver run up her spine as Lukretia's hands moved down her body to her arm. Kagami took the envelope. After Lukretia finished explaining what she wanted Kagami to do, Kagami managed to say "Yes i understand." Kagami then pulled the enevelope close to her chest while she remained standing in the same spot. "I will try my best." Kagami said hoping that she could do this without letting the General Manager down.

Lukretia pulled away and smiled. "I suppose zat is all ve can hope for, kleinind." Lukretia said as her eyelids dropped. She scanned the timid girl and grinned cruelly. "You're an exemplary representation of ze kavaii league," She said. Lukretia then turned and walked back to her desk. She sat down and started going about her business as if Kagami wasn't there. She just wanted to see how long the girl would actually stay frozen in her office.

Kagami would continue to stand there for a few more seconds before noticing that Lukretia was done with her. Kagami quickly turned around and left the room but she made sure to carefully close the door behind her. Kagami was now standing in the secretary room and she let out a loud sigh of relief as she had managed to make it through the meeting without being destroyed by Lukretia. Kagami then stood up straight and looked at the envelope in her hand before walking out of the office and into the AFW backstage area.
