The Air Raid Siren vs. Songbird

Once the girls's hands locked up with each other, Songbird would begin to slowly push with her strength to see how Gemma stands out. It will only be a while before Songbird tries to push even harder to see if her opponent can keep up.

With their hands locked, Gemma braced herself. She was still struggling to put the audience out of her head and control her nerves, but she figured the lock up would take care of that. As she feels Songbird start to put on the pressure, Gemma tries to push back in kind. She grits her teeth slightly, as her arms begin to give up ground by slight degrees. Upper body strength wasn't Gemma's strong suit, but fortunately she knew she had powerful legs to fall back on. She would then begin to push at the waist, hoping that the increase in leverage would give her the advantage.

Songbird would continue to push as Gemma seemed to be at her mercy. But then the Siren shifted gears and tried to push at the waist, which caught Songbird by surprise. She would take two steps back from that push, but still she tried to overpower Gemma as best as she could. It won't be long until one falls.

Seeing her opponent reel at her push, emboldened Gemma. Her hands were aching a bit, every lean muscle in her body was completely tense as she struggled against Songbird, but the chance that she might have the upper hand for a moment pushed her forward. Gemma's arms ached as she felt Songbird redouble her efforts. A tiny whine of effort escaped Gemma's lips.

Putting the full strength of her legs into it, Gemma committed to one last, aggressive push to try and topple her opponent. If she couldn't get the leverage she needed from the legs, she knew she was screwed, but Gemma knew that she wasn't going to last much longer if she didn't take this chance.

Although Songbird seemed to be winning, somehow Gemma was keeping up quite well. She was very impressed and this other girl might have a shot in the league. With Gemma's one final push, Songbird herself felt overwhelmed and she slipped a few inches. Slowly on one knee, she would try to keep up, but it wouldn't be long before Gemma takes her down.

Gemma's eyes widened as it sank in that she was actually managing to take the upper hand, even as her arms and arms strained with the effort of fighting off her foe. She really hadn't been expecting the lock-up to go this well, and even if she was managing to dominate her foe, it was just barely, and probably not for long.

Still working hard to press her advantage over Songbird, Gemma began to formulate a plan. Squaring her shoulders with her hips, Gemma pressed off hard on her opponent, in the hopes of sending her tumbling across the ring. Then, if she could manage to get some distance between them, she figured she might be able to start mounting an offense. Otherwise, she could see this thing turning around rather quickly.

As Gemma kept pushing, Songbird's recent slip up got from one knee to being on both knees. She was now on the brink of Gemma going on top and even pinning her down. She hoped that this girl won't go too hard on the next attack.

Gemma was still amazed that she was kind of getting on top, in this match. She was visibly straining to keep the edge she'd managed to earn, her body shaking a bit and a lightly audible moan escaping her lips as she put her full effort into grappling with her foe. Seeing Songbird go down onto both knees, Gemma followed with all of her weight, attempting to see if she could put her opponent down to the mat. As she pressed down, Gemma put her body weight fully behind a heavy knee strike aimed directly at Songbird's taut midsection; if Songbird was going to resist her attempt at a roll up, she'd have to deal with that knee blow first.

Songbird was in a right position already, but she ha to try and make up for the ground she's losing. But then she felt a sharp pain attack her gut. "GUUHH!!!" she coughed out as she doubled over. Now Gemma had a chance to show her stuff.

While Gemma was managing to keep on top, it was still taking a bit of a toll on her hands and arms. When she felt her knee collide with Songbird's midsection, though, she felt an opportunity to change the game up a bit. Instead of trying to follow through on a rollup, Gemma couldn't resist the urge to start taking some risks.

Firstly, she'd release Songbird's hands, if she could. Following that, with Songbird already doubled over, Gemma fully throws herself into an enzuiguri kick attempt. She attempted to put one foot on Songbird's thigh for balance, while striking her hard across the head with the shin of her other leg. By the time it would occur to Gemma that it might have been a bit foolish to relinquish her current advantage and commit so fully to a risky attack, she'd already be completely in the air, her foot rushing toward's Songbird's head ...
