Sagacious or Strict?

Akashi rested in the corner and looked at Cassie. They had been sparring for a fair amount of time int he AFW facility. Cassie hadn't been her usual cheery self lately. She could figure out why. She had a pretty brutal match coming up against her biggest rival. Akashi wanted to help but she knew trying to ease her wouldn't work. Just trying to make her happy and forget about it, that wasn't the right way to go. What Cassie needed was to know that her friends and family, the people who were closest to her and cared for her had her support no matter what.

Akashi decided that she was going to do just that and called Cassie to the gym, telling her she needed to bring her wrestling clothes. Akashi tugged at her tight fitting Lycra shorts as she inhaled and looked at Cassie. She also had a green sports bra on and hardened her gaze as she eased off the turnbuckle.

"You think I give a shit!" She barked. She had informed Cassi earlier that she was going to help her deal with Dark Angel's meaner tactics. That she could give Cassie a taste of what she could expect in a controlled and safe environment. "You're nothing! I'm not going to stop until you're a smear on this canvas, you little shit!" She said and stalked towards Cassie. Her eyes glistened and sparkled and every so often, her mouth twitched as she tried to suppress a grin. She hoped that she was doing a good job of being intimidating.

Cassie felt a little awkward standing in the opposite corner. She was in her gym clothes, black workout shorts and a brightly colored tank top with elbow and knee pads to help avoid getting too banged up in practice. She knew she needed to train, and she was glad Akashi was helping her, but... training for someone to be mean to her was... weird. Especially when that person was Akashi.

She shifted from foot to foot and avoided looking at Akashi during her rant. It wasn't like with Dark Angel. She didn't hate Akashi, and she wasn't angry at her, not that she hated Dark Angel. She told herself she didn't, at least. She couldn't muster the vitriol to shout anything back at Akashi, she could barely find words to say back to Angel.

Well, it was time to get down to business. They were supposed to be sparring, not exchanging verbal unpleasantries. She walked out of her corner and cautiously approached Akashi, knees bent in a low grappling stance, with her hands up in front. She had a good grasp on how to approach attacking someone like Akashi, without getting caught on the way in. It was about being patient, and then precise. She drew a breath and let it out slowly. It was not about getting angry and sloppy.

Akashi crouched and circled towards Cassie. She had to fight dirty ... without fighting too dirty. How did she go about doing that? Was there a soft way to attack someone's groin or gouge their eye? Akashi had an idea.

When they got close, Akashi threw her hands up. Cassie was really good at grappling and while Akashi was also a good grappler, she wasn't good in the technical grappling like Cassie was. She wasn't quite as concerned about that though. When Cassie came in, Akashi hoped she could box Cassie's ears. It was definitely an illegal move but it also wasn't particularly one that would hurt her. Just disorient her so she could grab her by the hair, jerk her forward and then roughly throw her onto her back.

Cassie shrieked and clamped her forearms against the sides of her head while Akashi's hands thudded against them. She'd saved her hearing, but then she was shocked by Akashi grabbing her by the hair and flinging her down like a ragdoll. She let out a small cry as she hit the mat. Ow.

Her face was already bright red when she scrambled back to her feet and backed off, circling back toward the middle of the ring. She kept her temper in check, if only just. She got back in her stance and put her hands up and tried again. This time, she didn't wait for Akashi, but instead she stepped quickly to the outside and dove in low, practically on top of the mat, to grab for Akashi's ankle and pick it up. Akashi was big, but balance could be upset without too much force. Cassie just needed to trust her technique, and ignore Akashi's act.

Akashi watched as Cassie bounced back from the slam. The red head really was getting better and better. It was making Akashi proud but she wasn't here to dote over a chick. She was here to make Cassie even better.

Akashi watched as Cassie dove back in low and grabbed her ankle up. Akashi was really good at keeping her balance, if there was once thing she excelled at, it was that. But still, when Akashi felt her ankle grabbed, she grinned. 'What? You think you can beat Dark Angel like this? You're pathetic. What are you going to do? Tickle her foot until she crawls into the ambulance!?" Akashi barked. "This is right where she wants you!" She screamed. "Your techniques are SHIT! YOU'RE SHIT!"

Cassie hugged Akashi's lower leg with both arms. It was heavy. Her reddened face grew hotter with Akashi's remarks, and while she knew she shouldn't take them seriously, the very sound of them riled her up.

Her techniques were shit? Well, maybe she'd use something more familiar to someone like Akashi, who probably couldn't understand the finer points of Cassie's grappling. She let go of Akashi's leg and lunged into her, diving up into the air like a cannonball fired at a hairless bear, and swinging her arm out at Akashi's neck in a sudden flying clothesline.

Akashi licked her lips as Cassie let go. She was starting to rattle the girl, or at least making her think twice about something and Akashi wasn't even really doing too much that was nasty outside of the trash talk. When she felt her leg get thrown, she was ready to lunge forward but the half second that it took to position her leg put her right int he way of Cassie's forearm and she was snapped backwards against the canvas, looking up at the gym lights.

She shook her head, scowled and spun her body around, trying to use some momentum to catch Cassie off guard. She figured the girl wouldn't waste any time trying to go back to ground, especially after successfully toppling the Sumo and Akashi needed to move as quickly as her big body would let her.

Akashi tried to drive the point of her elbow at Cassie's... Clearly her elbow was heading for the sensitive spot between Cassie's legs. Akashi's eyes widened. She didn't actually want to hit her THERE and pulled up to try and get the trajectory away from that area as quickly as possible.

Cassie plowed ahead after Akashi. Bringing the sumo down was an accomplishment, and it was not to be wasted. She ran her down and threw herself on top, looking to take a good position, and in the process she impaled herself on Akashi's elbow.

"Haah!" She gasped, and collapsed onto the mat, curled up tightly into a ball. Horrible, searing, crippling pain wracked her body, and her hands instinctively went down to cover her aching crotch. She couldn't even think of moving. Akashi would stop, anyway.

Akashi's eyes widened when her elbow slammed into Cassie's groin. Shit! Shit! Shit! Akashi thought as she looked at Cassie. She wasn't sure what she would do as she got to her hands and knees. "Is that IT!?" She screamed, finding herself still 'in character' as the beratement seeped from her mouth. She shook her head. She certainly wasn't going to do anything more physically to Cassie but she couldn't waste this unfortunate gift horse either. She felt horrible, but maybe that meant she was doing the right thing.

"Look at that!" She screamed. "Well, it looks like Dark Angel has the blueprint for victory." She said in a low voice, trying to get the point across to Cassie. She lifted her arms up, challenging Cassie, trying to motivate her to fight through thee pain. "Get up!" She screamed. "You pussy! Weakling! Get up or I'm going to do it again!" She shouted. "Or maybe I should just break your leg? Your arm? One little attack and I own you like a bitch!" She screamed pointing down at Cassie.

As the avalanche of taunts came crashing down on her, Cassie knew that she just wasn't cut out for this. She didn't belong in a place where people acted that way. It wasn't right. She turned until she was face down on her knees, still tucked tightly into a ball, so that Akashi wouldn't be able to see her face when she started crying. She was hurt, again, as usual, and she felt so low she just wanted to quit and never come back.
