Crossover Match Hitomi Fujishima vs. Kyo Shin

"A Tension Vs. Friction crossover match huh..." Hitomi mused as she sat backstage in Kyoto, the site of the AFW Tension arena. She was still a bit unsure about doing this, especially since she didn't particularly like men or fighting men, not after what happened between her and Mamoru. Even then she was a little uncomfortable despite how nice and flirty their interaction was. Ever since she had been trained as a maiko she didn't think very highly of men. They were always disrespectful of her work, even though Hitomi preferred to regard herself as an artist they saw her as a tool for pleasure. They weren't wrong, but Hitomi had a little too much self-respect for that. To wrestle a man in this kind of setting, where sexual acts were encouraged, unsettled Hitomi quite a bit.

Still she agreed to doing this and she had to face her actions. She checked her attire in the mirror, making sure all the fold and all the straps were in the right place. After adjusting a little bit to hide her cleavage, Hitomi nodded and moved out towards the ring. She held in her hand a fan with which she hid her face. She walked confidently down the ramp as sakura blossoms fell from the ceiling and the faint sounds of traditional Japanese instruments filled the air. The Tension crowd knew of her both from her time in Wrestle Angels and from her work at AFW, and they cheered her on appreciatively. She didn't have nearly as much fans in Tension as in Friction, but the crowd still gave her respect. She smiled, waving at them with her fan as she went to the ring.

Hitomi stepped in the ring, slipping underneath the top ropes. She waved her fan before tossing it out to the crowd. Hitomi bounced on her toes, getting herself pumped for the upcoming fight. She had to be ready for this, as fighting Kyo was something she had never done before and she wasn't sure how things were going to go.

A few days before the match~
It had been three months since Kyo's last match. Since then, he had trained extremely hard to increase his over all performance level, strength and above all...wrestling efficiently. Being almost 6 months old in his AFW membership, He didn't want to feel like some newbie rookie anymore that was misunderstood as a stalker (which he wasn't....) or come across like someone that didn't belong in a wrestling arena . Those three months of intense training changed him quite a bit. While adding a good amount of muscle of him and honing his wrestling techinques, His cute but timid demeanor faded and was replaced with a more confident and upbeat attitude. As he strolled along the hallway to his locker, he happened to reminisce about his former matches. They were quite enjoyable, he remembered. He was, though, happy that none of them got too violent and, for the most part, his opponents were all fairly respectable ones. None of them had invoked the "other side" of him to its full potential. He still worried about such a thing happening though from time to time...coming to hate what the "other him" was like. Whistling a bit as he got to his locker, he was greeted with a letter. "Ooo..." As he stopped making sounds, he took the letter and looked at the front. Seemed like it was finally time for another match? Kyo was excited. However, as he went to explore the contents of the letter...he became more confusion a first than anything. "Cross....over....match?" He read aloud as looked down at the letter. It mentioned that he would be fighting a girl from the Friction League of AFW, a League that he had no idea existed until that moment. He wondered what made it a "Crossover match". Was it because he was Tension and she Friction? "Hitomi..." He said in a softer voice. That was the name of his opponent. "Hmmmm...." He couldn't help but grin. It seemed...interesting. It would be a brand new type of match for him...and a great time for him to test out how much his training had paid off. He did frown though...unlike his Tension matches...there was no picture of Hitomi for him to look at. No picture? Man.....Kyo grumbled. Looks like he would have to wait.

Day of the Match: in Arena
As his guitar oriented theme song blared out from the large speakers, Kyo emerged from backstage and was greeted to a yelling and cheering crowd. It seemed that alot of people were happy to see him back in the ring. He grinned as he looked down the ramp...brimming with confidence. He actually wasn't one to take much attention to his own population at the Fed...but being away from the ring for as long as he was....he sort of missed it. With his wooden sword stringed over his back, he cracked his knuckles abit as he walked down the ramp towards the ring, his long green tails of his scarf flowing dramatically behind him. He made a few minor adjustments in his shifting navy blue hakama and offwhite Keikogi Top. Kyo was use to over all lose feel of his out fit, tightening the belt that made everything secure He would never, for the life of him, get use to fighting in skin tight wrestling gear. He took off his wooden sword and placed on the outside of his corner once he arrived and Hoped up on the side of the ring, doing a stylish one-hand flip over the top rope before land gracefully in ring, his sandals given a slight shifting sound. "Alright! Showtime!" He said outloud towards the crowd. He had high hopes that this would be a fun match! This whole time though...he actually hadn't gotten a good look at Hitomi yet. Looking over his shoulder he would finally spot her. "Ah...." He stared at her for a bit, his eyes widened. Usually he would be doing this face when he saw their picture. But having none this time...he was greeted with the real thing first this time. It seemed that...no matter what girl he would fight he couldn't help but stare at them like " " title="zomg" /> " for a moment. However, his control soon came back and he shook his head...although a blush remained on his face. "Ahh...haa....sorry..." He placed his hand over the back of his head...rubbing it a bit as he approached her, a bit embarrassed from staring her like that still. "Your Hitomi right? The one from Friction? My name is Kyo...Its...ah...nice to meet you!"

Hitomi looked up as her opponent's music began to play, seeing a Japanese boy dressed in loose kendo robes coming down the ramp. He seemed quite confident and fit, and the crowd gave him a good cheer as well. Hitomi wondered if Kyo had some successes before or something that made the crowd love him, of if the Tension crowds were just appreciative of the talent. Normally the guys showed off their bodies with skintight gear that also minimized the places where an opponent could grab onto, but like Hitomi Kyo seemed to like wearing looser more traditional clothing. She nodded, thinking to herself that maybe this guy wasn't as bad as Mamoru.

She frowned a bit when Kyo stared at her like it was the first time he had seen a girl. She was attractive to be sure, perhaps even more attractive than most of the girls in Tension, but the way Kyo looked at her unsettled her somewhat. He quickly regained his composure though, or as much composure as he could get with all of his stammering and his nervousness. Hitomi crossed her arms. She didn't want to be fighting against some completely inexperienced kid.

"Ah, yeah I'm Hitomi Fujishima," she said, "You're Kyo Shin? What's the matter? It's like you've never seen a girl before!" She smirked a bit, wondering if all Tension guys were wannabe players or completely unconfident little kids. They were certainly a motley and less than desirable lot.

Well this was a little embarrassing. Instead of coming across as a cool guy representing Tension, he was acting like that cute but stupid version of himself from when he had entered AFW. He wondered if he would ever get rid of his "curse" of acting shell shocked by every pretty girl he came across. It was already apparent that he lost the opportunity to display that confidence he wanted to project simply by looking at Hitmoi's expression as she began her reply. "Ga?!" Kyo blinked for a few moments, not exactly expecting that sort of answer that was just expelled from her mouth. He wasn't sure what got him first, the extremely rhetorical question or the extremely sly smirk she gave at the end, that made it seem like she was insulting him. He hoped it wasn't the case. Kyo sort of felt like she was taking his persona the wrong way...then again that WAS his fault. But he couldn't shake that her words with the combination of his screw up generated a feeling a deep irritation inside of him.

"Ah...haaa...." Kyo tried to laugh it off for a bit, rubbing his hand behind his head again. Maybe he could fix this misunderstanding of his character. "Noo..noo..." He stared...although he suddenly decided to omit saying that he acted like this all the time went meeting new girls...lest that really made him look un-confident before her. "...I've fought plenty of girls during my time here...Its just your really pretty...I wasn't expecting something like....ah...i was just quite stunned...thats all..." He sounded like he was trying to appease, although it was not intentional...since the embarrassment from earlier as still phasing him... "That wrestling outfit you have on is quite unique too!" He finished off. Yah...maybe that change her way at looking at him! He knew how to be a gentlemen...and not just some stupid kid that seemed to have a phobia around women!!! As he was done talking though, the sound of bell strike could be heard, signaling the start of the match. Huh....they sure sounded it quickly...he thought.
