Trying for a big, flashy uppercut had not been such a good idea, Claire realized, when it whiffed. Still having to follow through, Claire could not defend herself as Iowa threw a few quick jabs at her face. â€œGuahaa!â€ the black-haired kawaii girl cried.

She staggered backwards, gloves held up to protect her face, rather upset that her opponent had suddenly been able to shift the momentum of the match. Claire wondered if she was an experienced boxer. As it was, though, she had to keep on her toes, and try to keep some distance between herself and Iowa while she planned her next attackâ€¦

Iowa advanced, with a certain glare on her eye. She was confident, but knew that her opponent wasn't using her full strength. She was certain Claire would use her maximum power later on, so she watched carefully and slowly advanced behind her binded gloves.

Claire similarly realized that this Iowa girl was probably still just feeling her out, and figured that she would have to try to take advantage of her soon, or else her strategy would be completely figured out and she wouldnâ€

t stand a chance.

Recovering from the blows to her face, Claire would slowly advance on Iowa, keeping her gloves raised in front of her face, meeting the girl in the center of the ring. Seeing that Iowa was playing it cautious, Claire decided to go for a big punch.

â€œHa!â€ she yelled, throwing a haymaker at the other girlâ€

s head.

"ACK!"

As it turns out, blocking wasn't a very good strategy against a haymaker. Iowa felt the punch hit her chin and felt it HARD. She flinched for a second, letting her guard down.

Claire smiled when she saw her opponent drop her guard following the big haymaker. The punch had taken quite a bit of energy to throw, but it had been worth it, as Claire now had an opening. If she played it right, she thought that she might be able to knock Iowa down and earn the right to remove a piece of the girlâ€

s clothing.

The black-haired kawaii decided to go for another big punch. Winding up, she would swing her right fist around and launch an uppercut to Iowaâ€

s chin, trying to knock her off her feet.

"AUGH!"

Iowa felt the strike to her chin, and, unlike the previous time, wasn't able to escape her stun. The hit practically knocked her off her feet as she fell flat on her butt, practically sitting down and waiting.

Iowa shook herself out of her stun, she realized where she was. "Hey, not bad!" Iowa said to the kawaii, impressed that she's knocked down once already. "Alright; do your worse."

Claire jumped in the air excitedly as she saw her opponent flop to her butt on the mat. She had managed to score the first knockdown! She had even knocked out the girlâ€

s mouthguard! Even though she would have to knock the girl down five more times before it was all said and done, Claire felt fantastic about what she had accomplished.

When Iowa started talking to her, Claire smiled and spat out her mouthguard so that she could reply. â€œHeh heh, you didnâ€

t do too bad, eitherâ€¦â€ she said, kneeling down in front of Iowa and looking her over. â€œWeâ€

ve still got a long ways to go. I think Iâ€

ll take your boots now; Iâ€

ll save the really embarrassing stuff for later.â€

Having decided, Claire would take her time unlacing the boots, before trying to pop them off of the girlâ€

s feet.

Iowa was impressed by Claire's enthusiasm. She was so nice and kind of adorable in a way, she really didn't want her to lose...but she's not going down quietly. She knows she's going to have to kick in the speed now if she's going to win this fight. She was also impressed by the fact that Claire didn't go for the most humiliating route instantly, but she wasn't complaining. She'll probably do the same when she knocks her down; it's only fair. Just pray that the socks are what comes off next...

As her boots popped off, Iowa stood up and pounded her gloves together. "Don't think I'm not gonna give you tit for tat-pun not intended. Let's rock!" She put her mouthpiece back in and regained her fighting stance.

Claire blushed a little when Iowa mentioned giving her tit for tat; even if she didnâ€

t mean to make a pun, it was still a little embarrassing thinking of how little clothing even the winner of this match might be wearing by the end of it.

When Iowa popped back up, Claire picked up her mouthguard and popped up as well, tossing her opponentâ€

s boots off to the side of the ring, where a staff member scooped them up. Claire then turned back to Iowa. â€œGive me all youâ€

ve got; I still plan on beating you up!â€ she challenged, giving her friendly opponent a smile. â€œGood luck, though.â€

Claire put her mouthguard back in, taking a second to ensure that it was right. Then, the bell rang to start the next round, and Claire came out swinging, trying to capitalize on the fact that Iowa had just been knocked down. The black-haired girl would throw a quick jab at her opponentâ€

s face, trying to catch her off-guard.

Iowa was glad to know that Claire was as serious as she was, which confirmed that this is goning to be a good fight. Time to show her what she was really made of!

She got re-energized in a number of seconds. When she saw her opponent go for a jab she ducked and struck her opponent three times in the stomach, before popping back up and uppercutting Claire, hoping to make them equal very quickly.
