"That sounds so terrible, so dreadful!" Arasinya covered her mouth and tried not to show any tears in her eyes. No one deserved this kind of torture, nor death as a part of a tradition.

"I never had too much a choice either to fight and kill them or watch as my mother poisons them to slowly kill them then use me as a sparing dummy till she tired of beating me up."

Arasinya felt enraged over hearing this. "What kind of mother would do that to her own son? It just isn't fair! Couldn't you do anything stop it?"

"I didn't have any rights really only to be a pawn is what ever plots my mother had for advancement till some priestess decides that she desires me."

Arasinya was still upset over all this, but then what Xerxan said next confused her. "A priestess? What do you mean?"

"I guess to use me as a breeding tool for strong daughters for her house."

The ways of the coliseum seemed strange to Arasinya. She never heard of anyone doing these sort of things before in her life. "A breeding tool? How would they use you for a breeding tool?"

"I don't really know myself all I know is what I heard rumors from the other slaves before I fought them."

"I see," said Arasinya in understanding. "This can't keep going on. This sounds more like the mothers are using their daughters to be strong."
