Shauna O'Connor vs Jade Pelon

Shauna got so close to hitting Jade but the agile girl ducked underneath her arm at the last second. Regardless, Shauna wasn't discouraged. She was already running full speed, she just had to keep going and bounce off the ropes. Unaware of Jade's own rush to the other side, Shauna twisted herself at the last second so her back bounced off the ropes and she came right back. She had even preemptively lifted up her arm to try the clothesline again but was suddenly met by Jade's dropkick straight to her chest.

"Ugh!" She groaned from the sudden painful kick. Her feet slid forward from the momentum and she fell to her back. The redhead crossed her arms over her chest and rolled to her front. Dropkicks could hurt already, running into a flying one hurt that much more. She lightly kicked the ground as she tried to deal with the pain.

If Jade had not gone for the drop kick she would have been the one flat on her back writhing pain, but fortune was on her side it seemed as she went for the drop kick at just the right time to avoid the clothesline and get the first big hit of the match. As was inevitable with drop kicks however Jade was soon flat on the mat as well though she landed on her front, her arms helping to cushion her fall the woman would roll over onto her back and sit up in a hurry as she didn't want to get caught off guard.

As always Jade felt just a little bit guilty for hurting her opponent, the urge to comfort Shauna coming over her, but Jade was here to wrestle and knew that pain was just a part of the game, and that she needed to do a lot more if she wanted to win against this tough irish woman. Jade would then try to get back to her feet while Shauna was still down, only to then jump up into the air to bring her elbow down hard upon the woman's chest.

Shauna groaned in pain while her arms covered her chest. She really wished she hadn't just run into that. It hurt a lot more than it should have. As she gasped for air, she momentarily ignored her surroundings. As her senses came back, though, she suddenly realized her opponent was falling down towards her. Jade's sharp elbow landed hard on her sternum. "Agh!" the Celtic warrior groaned in pain as he arms once again returned to chest. She rolled over and smacked her forehead against the mat.

Jade seemed to be on a roll as she landed two big hits in a row upon Shauna, driving her elbow into the chest of the red haired cutie striking nearly the same exact spot she had hit with her earlier drop kick. While Shauna was rolling away from her Jade was doing much the same thing, turning over onto her front before pushing herself back up onto her feet, trying to move quickly so as not to waste the opening she had just created. Jade would move to step over the woman's back, kneeling down to sit down upon Shauna's upper back while trying to grab the woman's legs to bend them backwards into a boston crab.

Shauna found herself groaning pain at the blows Jade was giving her. The girl was rather quick and agile and the redhead wasn't use to fighting opponents like her. Before she had time to react, she felt her legs get pulled up as Jade sat on her back. Instantly, Shauna's lower back curved in pain and the girl screamed in pain. She squirmed left and right but all of Jade's weight on her upper back prevented movement. As each second passed by, her lower back hurt more and more. Shauna looked up and could make out the ropes a few meters away from her.

With all her strength, she pressed her right elbow on the ground for leverage and leaned forward with her left. Then she planted her left elbow and leaned forward with her right. Closer and closer she pulled the two until the ropes were just outside her reach. With one strong, final push, Shauna leaped forward and latched onto the rope with her hand!

Jade had gained the upper hand in their match so far thanks to some quick thinking on her part, seems her time spent on her school's wrestling team had paid off for her here in the AFW, at least in the early goings. Planting herself on the woman's back she wrenched back on her legs until she heard Shauna crying out in pain, the boston crab might have been simple enough for Jade to use effectively but it was still quite a painful move, she should know too, she had been placed in it several times back in school. She dug her heels into the mat trying to keep Shauna from dragging them over to the ropes but the irish lass was too strong for that and while her progress was slow it was inevitable that they her hand grabbed onto the rope.

She held onto the hold for a couple seconds more even as the ref began to count, only holding it to the count of three before she released the girl's legs and stepped off of her. Turning around Jade tried going right back on the attack with a stomp to the woman's lower back.

As Shauna's hand grabbed the rope, the girl gripped on like there was no tomorrow. Those three seconds that Jade delayed felt like a lot more. When she finally was released, she gasped as if she had been holding her breath through the pain. Without any break, the assault continued and Shauna was kicked in her back. Shit. She couldn't take being on the losing end of this beating. Jade was fast and keeping up the pressure too well. She needed to turn it around somehow.

With a sudden burst of energy, Shauna got one foot on the ground then launched herself right at Jade in an attempt to tackle her to the ground. If she could take away her speed, then she wouldn't have to deal with her.

Jade just had to keep up the pressure and she felt confident that if she did the match would end in her favor, she had kept Shauna on the defensive so far and after first the submission move and then the kick she didn't think the irish girl had it in her to go on the attack. Of course it was the moment she wrote her off that Shauna did just that, the woman hurling herself right towards Jade in a hard tackle that sent both woman down to the mat. Landing hard on her back Jade gasped from the sudden and unexpected pain, her hands rising up to guard her head on instinct as this type of move was usual followed by strikes to the face.

As the two crashed to the mat, Shauna did just as Jade expected and proceeded to try to throw punches down at her face. Left, right, left, right, Shauna continued to try to get a good impact on the girl just once. She wasn't normally this vicious but the frustration of being on the losing end of the fight already made her angry. But it only made her more frustrated as Jade protected her head from the attacks. Shauna tried to get some hit in but could only hit the girl's forearms. As she started to tire, she finally gave up on the plan and tried something different.

The redhead grabbed forcefully onto Jade's left arm and jumped to the side with it while planting her legs over Jade's body in an armbar!

Jade was fortunate she had acted to protect her face as Shauna showed some of her irish heritage with a series of hard blows down at her face, Jade catching most of them on her forearms though she didn't escape unscathed, she was certain she now bore several bruises on her arms as well as a couple on her chest. "Where did you learn to brawl?" Jade asked, the journalist in her showing through as even in the midst of a fight she couldn't help but try to get to the story that was Shauna O'Connor.

She then tried to reach up to grab Shauna by her head only to have it turned against her as the red haired woman took control of her arm and in one quick move to the side caught her in an armbar. Struggling against the hold as much as she could Jade couldn't see an easy way out of the hold, only the ropes coming to mind but they were several feet away. But with no other option Jade bit down on her lower lip and started to drag them both towards the words using her legs to push.
