Fist Of The Lone Star!

Clyde smirked a bit at Rei and her cute little wink following her comment regarding the typical actions of men that went hand in hand with his recklessness. Of course he was reckless! But always in control!

"That's very strong of you to say though, Rei. I don't think I oughta remind ya ta' not care what anyone thinks and ta' be your own person. You seem to know that pretty well." He added with a smile, patting her shoulder before letting her stretch, hearing her next couple of words that made Clyde blink then smile.

"Ha! Sure! If ya' think yer ready." He let out before going over to the practice ring and sliding inside.

Rei chuckled and grinned at the same time as she climbed in after Clyde. "Don't go easy on me! I might not be too great at striking but I got one hell of an iron jaw and a hard head to boot!"

The purple haired girl hopped up and down in the practice ring loosening herself up before raising her fists to her face trying to mimic Clyde's stance when he put it up. She would then begin to focus and prepare herself mentally. She would get to spar with a man who had proven himself as a contender in Tension. Someone who has never really trained nor learned from a proper fighting art, he was a self made fighter. One could only wonder what made Clyde tick, Rei was entering the ring knowing that she needed to learn from him. Clyde wasn't the strongest, nor the fastest, nor did he have the best technique and he didn't definetly didn't have the best cardio endurance. What was it? Tt was killing her! This was why Rei chose Clyde as her mentor, he was a mystery.

"Ready?" Rei asked and once Clyde answered, the fiery girl ran straight at Clyde with a haymaker as she swung for the fences battle cry and all, "Hyyaaahhh!"

"Don't go easy on you?" He repeated. Making sure he heard that right before he did indeed give Rei a hard time. That being said he wondered if she was really as durable as she claimed. Perhaps more durable then him? He wondered.

He got his fists up in guard, holding them below his chin, perfect stance for a grapple and a striker, to him at least. He smirked as he looked at Rei mimicking his own stance, wondering if she knew he stood like that to be able to grapple and strike. He figured he would just have to wait and see, but not before he decided to take Rei's punch head on to see what she was made of.

"Ready!" Clyde responded, watching as Rei ran at him and swung her fist at him. Clyde's eyes followed her arm and had, he could have weaved back and avoided it but decided to take the HARD punch in the side of his jaw. "Gkk!!!" Clyde let out, his head turning to the side as he was struck, ending up falling back falling the stiff punch that let loose his senses and knocked him off his feet.

"Gaaaah....Daaayum..." Clyde let out as he sat back up into a sitting position, rubbing his cheek. "Oww..." He growled. At least he knew Rei knew how to punch well enough.

"Well...Gh... It fuggin' stings so that lets me know you're good at this." Clyde added while looking up Rei with a slight smile. Next time he'd try to avoid being hit.

"Hey! I said not to go easy on me! That also implies I won't be going easy on you..." Rei said cheerfully as she used her thumb to flick her nose as she shifted back into a stance as if she was pretending to be Bruce Lee. "Well, get ready! Cause I'm about dish out a lot of hurt!"

Awaiting Clyde to find his feet, Rei stepped forward in his fighting stance eyeing Clyde with a smile. The green eyed girl pressed forward trying to gain the initiative so she could gain control of the pace of the fight. Rei went in with the exact same Haymaker but this time followed it up with a vicious uppercut to keep Clyde on edge. Rei would also be advancing forward as she punched too.

"Nh. Right, right." Clyde muttered as he got to his feet. Rei was definitely right and he paid for taking her lightly. He grinned at her though, her gestured and attitude were both amusing and sort of brightening in a way.

When Rei stepped forward, Clyde leaned back to dodge the haymaker, but as Rei fired out a sudden uppercut, The Cowboy's eyes widened and he tried to weave but Rei's fist would dig into the side of his cheek.

"Ngh!" He let out, wincing from the blow but had thankfully avoided the full brunt of it. He tried to retaliate quickly with a body blow from his left, trying to strike Rei in her solar plexus. If that worked Clyde would try to throw another, more stronger punch with his right, trying to dig his fist directly into Rei's abdomen and force her back.

Rei grinned as she shot her fist straight up a she grazed Clyde as if she had just done Shoryuken before she had time to reflect how badass she locked she grunted. Clyde's fist slammed into her stomach making her wince as all the air was knocked out of her. "Ugh!" She grunted as Clyde delivered a second blow knocking the girl backwards. She coughed a bit as she starred dagger at Clyde before wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. The violet haired grew very serious as she raised her hands back up ready for some more.

"Lucky shot..." Rei wheezed before rushing at Clyde.

Rei threw a quick one-two combination at Clyde's head trying to fight more conservatively and use more of what Clyde taught her.

Clyde smirked confidently as both his strikes managed to nail Rei good and send her backwards, seeing her stagger back and glare at him after knocking a nice bit of wind out of her, gave Clyde the indication that he managed to fire Rei up after two strong blows.

"Everything I do is luck, baby." Clyde replied confidently with no shame at all. His hands up in guard as Rei rushed him and threw that one-two Combo that Clyde would weave left to right, bobbing his head with his jukes to dodge her strikes.

"C'mon! You gotta be faster than that!" He teased before sticking his tongue at her, bouncing lightly on his feet.

Rei blinked as Clyde weaved his head expertly avoiding her blows like a boss! She grit her teeth at Clyde not amused by his taunting but couldn't help but smile a little at his free spiritedness. She struggled to keep up with Clyde trying to close distance between the two.

"Don't call me baby...anymore~" Rei said as she raised her fists as she decided to go for the same combination but repetitively.

Rei would continue firing jabs and crosses at Clyde with her fist frustrated by his taunting.

Clyde snickered mischievously as he watched Rei grit her teeth. Obviously getting her a tad riled up his antics. He was teasing her to prepare her more than frustrate her, but whether she knew that was unimportant right now.

"Whatever you say... Babe..." Said Clyde with a sly grin as he watched Rei raise her fists while approaching him. His eyes then suddenly going wide when she began to fire a barrage of jabs and crosses his way!

"Crud." Clyde thought as the punches came flying at him, forcing Clyde to get his hand around his head, using his arms to protect his face while doubling backwards, trying to let Rei tire herself out if she kept swinging away like that. The only flaw of this plan was that Clyde would be backing himself up against the ropes.

"I SAID" Rei began as she battered Clyde's arms with her hands between breaths.

Seeing Clyde backed up against the ropes, she let him have it as she quickly realized she would need a way to bypass his defences. Rei admittedly was getting somewhat winded by throwing so many of these attacks but the girl had an amazing endurance. Despite her overwhelming offensive onslaught Rei would still have to use her head to land a clean shot on Clyde.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Rei cried as she grabbed Clyde's wrists with both arms pulling them away from each other as she would try to slam her skull against Clyde's forehead with a satisfying hard sound.
