A Seat at Teacher's Table ~Miss Spencer vs. Rainbow Mika~

Dixie smiled down at Mika as the girl began to come to. "Glad ta see you recognize me," she voice continued, her accent drawling out as she spoke to the woman. "Like I said, hell of a match you put on tonight." She leaned down towards Mika, extending her free hand towards her. "Need a hand back up to yer feet, or do you jes' wanna lie there a while longer?"

Mika's mouth fumbled as she tried to speak. Her head shook dizzily, her vision swirling a little as Dixie briefly went out of focus. Lying here wasn't exactly an unnattractive option, and Dixie's microphone was painfully loud...

Then, gingerly, she extended an arm up and grabbed Dixie's outstretched hand.

Dixie took Mika's hand in her own with a nod of satisfaction, squeezing it tightly as she leaned back, giving Mika an easy, yet strong pull up to her feet, sliding in closer to her as she did so in case she needed someone to support her while she gathered her bearings. Sensing that her microphone was too much for Mika, she let it lower to her side, instead simply speaking in a louder voice, so that the first few rows of the audience would be able to hear her.

"Looks like you did a hell of a number to poor teach over there..." She continued, nodding her head towards Spencer, who still had a swarm of medics around her, trying to bring the teacher back to the world of the living. "Ah'd almost be impressed, if I hadn't done the same thing to 'er back in the old Rumble Roses fed." She gave Mika a grin, turning her head to look at her before continuing. "Puttin' down a Rose though, it ain't an easy task. You know first hand that we're made of tough stuff. 'Course, Spencer ain't really the toughest of all of us, if you know what I mean..." She let her words hang in mid air, her voice stopping as she stared at Mika, hoping the girl wasn't too out of it to realize the meaning behind her speech...

At first, Mika blinked dizzily at Dixie's comment, seemingly uncomprehending. Slowly, though, she closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead, before straightening up and staring her one-time opponent down.

"Then I'll...just have to...defeat the toughest of you!" Mika said wearily, smiling a little nonetheless as she swayed slightly on her feet. "Though...you'll have to...remind me...who is the toughest Rose again? Isn't that...Reiko Hinomoto?" Mika knew that Dixie wouldn't be able to resist replying to that one...

When Dixie felt Mika shifting around, she slipped away from her, assuming that Mika was steady enough to stand on her own. She put on a bit of a smirk, staring back at Mika as the girl began to reply to her. She opened her mouth, ready to say something, when suddenly Mika brought up Reiko. For a moment, a mix of anger and confusion flashed across Dixie's face, remembering her recent loss against the Zero Fighter, but that expression quickly gave way to a calm, cool smile.

"Tch. Reiko jes' got lucky when we fought each other. I ain't seen her in ages, and didn't want to rough her up too badly. Out of all the Roses that have found their way to the AFW, ah'm still the biggest, toughest, and best of all of us."

She took a small step forward, so she was standing face-to-face with Mika. "Guess you forgot about that, about how I kicked yer ass, huh...?"

Mika didn't flinch as Dixie brought her face close to hers, and she met the Texan's gaze without so much as a blink. This time, however, it was Mika's turn to be put off by a comment as Dixie mentioned her loss to the Rumble Rose. Her face twisted slightly in anger, but was quickly smiling once again.

"You were just lucky...that's all," she breathed. "The next time...it will be a different story. You just say...when...and where."

Dixie leaned in closer to Mika, listening intently to her words. When the Rainbow Warrior finished, the cowgirl was quick to answer her, her voice soft, her breath warm against Mika's face. "Lucky? Naw...luck ain't got nothin' to do with it. Ah'll tell ya what though. You're all beat up right now, otherwise I'd drag you into the ring right now and show you who's 'lucky'. You take some time, rest up and get recovered from this brawl with Teach over there..." She took a moment to gesture towards Spencer, who slowly being helped to her feet by a pair of medics, the teacher finally looking like she was back in touch with the world of the living. "...and once you do, ah'll be ready. Don't care where, don't care how, but I'm more than ready to kick yer ass around the ring again..."

As Dixie spoke, Mika's hand involuntarily clenched into a fist. The Texan had one thing right: if Mika had been in better shape at the moment, she would have been all too willing to throw down with her here and now, to make her eat her words.

"Fine then," she said, staring the cowgirl down. "You won't...have to wait long, Dixie. Once I'm...all refreshed...I'm coming after you...and we'll settle this in the ring. And this time...you're the one who's losing!"

And with that, Mika turned and hobbled up the ramp towards the exit. She was walking with visible difficulty after all of the damage she had taken, but walking all the same, a look of stoic determination on her masked face.

"Ah'll be waitin' for you, girly..." Dixie replied to her, watching Mika turn away and make her way up the ramp and out of sight. Once the woman vanished from sight, the cowgirl turned to Miss Spencer and stepped towards her. Though the teacher was up on her feet, she still looked shaky. Throwing an arm around her shoulder, Dixie gave her a grin, gesturing towards the arena's exit with her head.

"Come on, Teach. Lemme help you get out of here..." She said to her, the teacher only offering a nod in response, as the two women then began to head up the ramp and out of sight themselves.
