Godmoding and Powerplaying

I think Eliza's a bit of a jobber, same with John Carnaby.

Like in the UKE in terms of who's best. It'd be Ryan, then Lucy and John would be the weakest. And Eliza might me a jobber, but she's graceful dammit!

So I've finally been getting feedback over my unintentional powerplaying that I have been doing for a while now without knowing, and I would seriously like to try and change all of that if I still can. But can anyone help me out with that in whatever way possible?

Powerplaying controlling the flow of a match (by force or against your partner's will) regardless of what specifically is done IC, but a good place to start is to look at all the instances where Tatsuki, who is too small to trigger a passenger-side airbag, tosses around much bigger opponents with power moves and powers out of their submission holds. It's not realistic and doesn't make sense, but also tends to come at the expense of the other person in the match.

I'm sure if we put our heads together we could find places where that happened and turned off your rp partner to the match.

While we're on the subject of powerplaying, I guess anyone who's rp'd with me or seen my matches recently can tell me if I've been guilty of this without knowing it. If I have or if anyone has any advice to not go into powerplaying, please let me know via PM or YIM if you've got it.

A Tip (without reading or referring to anyone's matches specifically): Whole heartedly throw your character into selling when they are on the receiving end..

If your character takes hits but always shakes it off or keeps a composed smile on their face, you probably aren't throwing yourself fully into the sell. Trust your wrestle partner enough to have a stint in control of the match (maybe even a whole page in length sometimes), and while they are in control concentrate on building up their characters move by describing the pain or eluding to the fact that your character was "damn near almost knocked out by the hellacious move" or "raising their hand just off the mat, desperately close to giving it all up"

People can often powerplay because they are afraid that if the sell some moves their character will never get back in control of the match again... Talk to your wrestle partner over PM so that you remain on the same page.

Agreed. Usually the first thing I tell people when they ask me about matches is SELL! Selling is as important or more than attacking. It's the heat of the match (and it's hot). So sell!

Often people don't know how, are afraid to, or are oblivious to it. But always keeping your character's composure when she's getting stomped to death sort of takes away your partner's options. If nothing really hurts that much, they have nothing else to do.
