You know who Ryback reminds me of? Not Warrior, but Sid.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Why? I see little of the Ruler of the World in Ryback. Nostalgia or not, Sid was still awesome when he returned for Raw special episodes. At best, Sid is a level he should look forward to achieve as gasping for air is not as epic as WWE likes to think it is.^^
Mean laughter with camera coming closer and closer > anything Ryback has done up until now
For big men, in ring only i'd say
Undertaker > Bam Bam Bigelow > Vader > Big Show > Kane > Sid > Nash > Goldberg > Yokozuna > Warrior > Ryback > Mabel
The first five are really close, I would not be ashamed to put Kane in front of Undertaker on a good day.

I'd say Ryback is doing pretty damn good considering he's not even been in the league for very long and he's already surpassed Mabel.
Though... that list.... " title="no no.." />
It's almost reversed for me.
Though, obviously Undertaker isn't the worst in my book... nor is Mabel my favorite >.>

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
The guy is showing absolutely nothing when he wrestles on RAW or SD except for the Vader Splash and the Lariat. According to Wiki his arsenal is quite diverse and impressive, just let him use it more often and maybe I would be more sold on the man.
At least they dropped this *feed me more* nonsense.
So you would really put for example Nash over Big Show in the ring? Don't get me wrong, Nash was awesome as character and promo guy in the NWO, but not so much in the ring?

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
No, I like Big Show way more than Nash.
I'd put Yokozuna and Warrior over both of them though as they were my third and first favorite wrestlers respectively when I was growing up. Maybe nostalgia is a terrible thing but when I was a kid I didn't care about who could sell moves and who had an amazing repertoire. I saw Ultimate Warrior show up, wreck everyone's shit, yell and charge off back to whatever fluorescent Valhalla he had come from. And that's all I needed.
I also liked the feed me more thing. I liked it when he was destroying local talent, personally.
Let's see.... I'll just do my version:
Warrior > Yokozuna > Goldberg> Undertaker > Kane > Big Show> Ryback > Nash > Vader > Sid > Bam Bam Bigelow > Mabel
I think Undertaker is the best wrestler of the bunch myself, but I am just talking about my personal favorites. But I'll admit I didn't watch too much of BBB, Sid or Vader but I do love Vader for other reasons >.> And Mabel is last on the list simply because of the time he stopped wearing his trashbag >______-< I liked him as King Mabel though.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Favorite wise, my list would be more like your list.
Warrior > Kane > Undertaker > Sid > Vader > Goldberg > Yokozuna > Big Show > Nash > Bigelow > Ryback > Mabel
Warrior could have been as huge as Hogan if things had worked out better with him. Kane and Undertaker are nearly equal for me, although Undertaker is a superscary heel character for children. Sid, Vader and Goldberg just have presence(and awesome theme songs), Yokozuna was really fast and agile for a man of his size and looked menacing. Show, Nash and Bigelow were solid hands while the latter was a really agile wrestler and should have gotten more and better chances like Show had. And Mabel, I have literally seen no guy that is larger than he is, but still no buys from me.
I really hope Ryback keeps on improving so that I can atleast see him in the main event without facepalming at some point. But when I see how long he already is in wrestling and what he can do right now, I doubt it.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
He's only been being Ryback for, what, a year or so? Maybe? Before that he was a dude named Skip >.>
I think that he's done pretty well in such a short time. I just hate how whenever anyone gets any kind of face popularity they have to instantly be turned into a heel against Cena. It FEELS like they keep trying to prop Cena up at the expense of others, even though I don't think that's the ACTUAL case. I just think that it FEELS that way. :/

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
He was Ryback early on in developmental too, but that's beside the point.
And they ARE doing exactly that. No-one is allowed to bigger than Cena because WWE decided that he was gonna be the guy, any other big face must settle for number two, and if they get any bigger? They get turned (Punk, Ryback).

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
yeah, whatever any of US might think about Ryback, as a face he was HUGE. And, I don't really get why they do that. I know they want Cena to be the guy, but having other popular guys around doesn't HURT him. If anything, it takes away some of the heat he'd be getting because the crowd is focused on the group of faces and not JUST Cena.
