Tag, You're It!

Akashi sat in her dressing room and looked at her phone. Just yesterday she had decided to cut a promo that had Kamikaze in a tag match since the last time they wrestled to a tough loss against Hard Velocity. There was just one problem. Her tag team partner, Taylor Parker, and her had almost gotten into a fist fight right in the middle of the ring. She rolled down her list of friends and tried to think of someone who could replace Taylor against Karina and whoever she chose to fought against.

Obviously she couldn't call on Karina, since that was who she was fighting. Natalia was out. She'd just lost a match to Natalia and she couldn't bare asking her fotr this tag match. It felt too much like begging. Rika or Sarah would certainly be good choices, but they could be volatile and once again, they might steal the show.

That didn't leave her with very many options at all... She stood up and huffed. "Bah! Why do I even need a tag team partner! I can do it myself! I might as well just go and find a rookie...." Akashi's eyes widened.

She grabbed her phone and quickly began to thumb the keyapa.d She sent a text message to one of the rookies that she'd just recently met. er name was Talia Wilson and the two had been chatting recently. Even though their first encounter had been a little intimate, they hadn't seen too much of each other in person. Still, Akashi liked to think her and the girl were beginning to form a wonderful new friendship! A match like this was just what she needed to really seal the deal. Plus, it would do wonders for Talia's career just to be in a match with Akashi. Everything seemed perfect.

Talia was training extra hard at the gym that day. She suddenly had something to prove, people to impress. She was doing a number on the punching bag, trying her best to master the technique of her kicks. Kido's tutelage had been one of her best experiences since she had joined the AFW, and Talia wanted to make sure it stayed that way as long as possible. She had been spending a lot of time at the Friction gym instead of the Though she wasn't surprised when she heard her phone vibrate nearby with her stuff. After finishing one more kick she walked over to check it.

She was surprised to see Akashi's name at the top. She still remembered the first time they met, and as awkward as it initially was the two definitely came out of it as decent acquaintances. Well, considering Akashi's reputation, she thought that was the best way to label the two's relationship. Even so, it didn't prevent her from smiling when she read the text. At least it meant Akashi hadn't forgotten her. After quickly texting back an "Omw!" Talia gathered her things and made her way to where she knew Akashi's dressing room was. She politely knocked on the door and waited.

"Akashi? It's me Talia!" she raised her voice a little out of excitement. Even though she imagined it was just Akashi trying to get her back into the room to make more moves, she wasn't exactly against the whole idea of it anymore. As far as she was concerned, it was great just to spend time with the ex-Friction champion.

Akashi was just lounging around, watching some Friction matches when Tali knocked. Akashi was wearing some loose fitting sweat pants and a huge shirt that had a chibi sumo on it. She was feeling a little slothful but she knew that this was an important moment. Her heard began to pound and she hopped up off her couch and moved to open the door.

"Talia-chan!" Akashi's eyes lit up when she saw the girl and she squeezed her in a tight hug. "I'm glad you came! Come on in!" She exclaimed and lead Talia into her room. "Make yourself at home, I .. " She stopped. Is that what she should say? She remembered the last time it happened... She swallowed. "Ahh... Sorry for taking up your time, Talia-chan..." She said sheepishly. "I'm sure it's valuable..."

As she waited, Talia leaned on her heels then switched to her tip toes, then back to her heels. When Akashi opened the door she pulled Talia in with a very tight hug. The small girl went "Eep!" in surprise before hugging her back. "It's good to see you again Akashi-chan!" she said from within the sumo's great hug. She followed her into the dressing room a little anxious. Akashi had said there would be no funny business but of course the girl was still unsure.

When Akashi suddenly became a little bashful, Talia stepped closer again. "Hey, it's okay, I'm more than happy to be of help!" she said before reaching in to hug Akashi again. "So what did you want to talk about?" she asked as she let go and walked over to sit on the couch in front of the television.

Akashi squeezed Talia tightly and then set her down. She smiled warmly at Talia and then when she asked about her question, Akashi blushed a bit. She stepped away and then looked up at her television. She grabbed the remote and flipped it forward to a specific point on one of the recent broadcasts. She looked at Talia. "I don't know if you saw that, Promo but... " Akashi beamed brightly. "Well, I.. uh...." Akashi was suddenly sheepish. "Actually, I am now... uh... Well, I was hoping that you would be my tag partner in Kamikaze..." Akashi looked hopeful, but even the mighty Akashi was a little afraid of being rejected by the cute Talia.

Talia actually hadn't seen the promo Akashi was referring to. She usually just stayed away from watching anything apart from matches, it was all just unwanted drama anyhow. Right? But she started watching the television as Akashi instructed. "Oh?" she asked curiously. She wasn't sure where Akashi was going to tell her but her question was answered shortly. For a moment, Talia just stared blankly.

"Me?" she asked surprised. She never imagined she'd ever be friends with Akashi. To suddenly be asked to be her tag partner, hell, to be part of kamikaze was overwhelming. "I...I don't know what to say..." Despite how flattered she was to be asked, Talia felt uncertainty in actually accepting it. "...I don't think...I don't think I am good enough to be your partner Akashi-san..." Talia looked away and back at the television. Upon hearing Akashi say the girls name made her look back at her. "I don't think I can replace Taylor..."

"Hai!" Akashi said cheerfly, a beaming smille crossing her face as she watched Talia absorb the sumo's words. The big girl almost wanted to giggle but she held it off as Talia contnued. The tiny gil was cute when she was sheepish but Akashi shook her head at talia's words.

"Just say yes!" She urged excitedly. "You can do it, Talia-chan. I'll have your back for sure! I owe Karina-chan a good butt kicking so you'l probbl mostly just be there for looks." Akashi said, blushing at the thought. "Besides, I'm sure you can do better than flopping off the top rope and nearly brreaking your neck." Akash said, rolling her eyes. She smiled and slapped Talia's shoulder and clutched it tightly, gripping it hard but affectionately.

Talia scratched the back of her head. Akashi's offer did sound tempting. She'd be the tag team partner of the former friction champion. It sounded too grand to be true but here Akashi was, urging her to accept. This may have been her only opportunity to make it to the main card, and she wasn't about to let it slip by. "Yea...yea let's do it!" Talia said with sudden enthusiasm. She got up off of the coach and put her hand right onto Akashi's shoulder with a confident nod. She wasn't sure how she was going to train herself for their matches, but she knew she couldn't have asked for a better teammate.

"Team Kamikaze!" she stated rather jubilantly. It sounded great in her head. "Kamikaze!" she repeated and began to giggle with excitement. All of this had happened by chance too, and Talia was really starting to think her luck had turned around completely for the better.

"Yosh!" Akashi pumped her fist and then threw her arms out and went to wrap her arms tightly around Talia, pulling her head first into her impressive bosom. She would hug Talia to death if the smaller girl was not able to wrench herself free. But still, Akashi felt ecstatic about the change. It was something she needed and things seemed like they were finally starting to pick up for the busty Sumo! As long as she didn't kill her new tag team partner with love before they ever even stepped into the arena!

Talia gladly hugged Akashi back. Something about the sumo girl's hugs made them feel so much better than those of others. There was something strangely satisfying about seeing how happy Akashi was. It meant Talia had successfully made someone feel joy through simply being a friend. Her new partner kept squeezing though, and little Talia realized she had trouble breathing. "Akashi-san!" she'd yell with all the air left in her lungs. She tapped on Akashi's shoulder as if taping out to her bear hug.
