Are You With Me?

Akashi had bee in a bad way. She'd been avoiding a lot of people and a lot of people had been avoiding her. Unfortunately, te ones that mattered, her girlfriend Mina and her best friend Taylor, had been avoiding her the most. She had gotten into a funk and even little things here and there weren't helping to lift her spirits. Stubbornness was keeping her from calling Taylor. Mina was supposedly busy, so she couldn't call her either.

She needed to get away, but could only think of one possible place where she might be able to do that. After looking through her little black book, se definitely had a lot of fuck buddies, but for once in her life, she needed a little more than cheap and easy sex. When push came to shove, she became morose at just how few friends she really had to turn to. However, there was ONE name that she kept conspicuously passing up before finally she threw her book and threw up her hands.

"Oh fuck it!" She exclaimed and packed a suitcase.

She hailed a cab when she was done and arrived shortly at Sarah Gatt's nw apartment. Sarah. She said the name allowed. One of he most hated people in the AFW. Completely contraty to Akashi in almost every way and yet... Of all the people in AFW, she was probably the girl she felt the most connected with. Sometimes it made her sick. Sometimes it made her hapy. It confused everyone else. The two had shared a lot thoug. Epic duels, similar careers. It was fate that had made them debut together, Akashi knew it. Was it fate that led the sumo to knock on Sarah's door now?

She had no clue there.

In downtown Tokyo was Sarah's new fancy appartment loft. Once her place had taken in new occupants Sarah realized that she needed a bigger place to fit them all. Having amassed quite a fortune from her very sucessful wrestling career and the funds coming in from her Gatt Attack business meant that for the first time in her life Sarah could live in style and comfort. It was a pretty big place, large enough that Sarah had actually built a regulation size wrestling ring in her living room. Beyond that was a couch which Sarah herself was currently sprawled across, a smoking cigarette between her lips.

A blissful sigh came from Sarah's lips, exhaling some smoke as she lay there. She was pretty relaxed at the moment, having thhe large appartment to herself at the moment. Rika was out with some friends and Sabre......well, who really knew what the cavegirl did with her free time. Things had been going pretty well for Sarah lately. She was the newly crowned Friction champ and her Gatt Attack crew was growing stronger and stronger. These days she was a much more driving force in the AFW than she ever had been before. The other wrestlers trembled at her name, and that brought a smile to her face.

It was then there was a knock at her door, and Sarah groaned in exasperation. It seemed evertime she just got comfortable someone came knocking at her door. SHe considered just ignoring it, but conceded in the end, and with another puff of smoke Sarah would snub out her cigarette in a nearby ashtray, then make her way to the door. Grumbling and already fishing another cigarette out of her pocket Sarah would walk around her practice ring before reaching the door. And not for the first time she would open it to find quite the surprise waiting on the other side.

A wry smile spread across Sarah's lips when she saw it was Akashi waiting on the other side of her door. "Well, well, well," Sarah chuckled leaning against the doorway, placing her unlit cigarette in her mouth. "If it ain't the former Friction champ." Sarah purpously put emphasis on the word 'former' just to irk the sumo. Of course when she saw what Akashi was carrying her smile immediately dropped. "Why do you have a suitcase?" Sarah asked.

Akashi had a bright grin on for when Sarah opened the door. She smiled at the brawler and when she made her comment, Akashi rolled her eyes. "You bitch." She said teasingly. "Always have to rub that in, don't you? Don't worry you know you're just keeping it warm until I want it back, right?"

Akashi then dropped her suitcase and tears welled up in her eyes. "Waaaaaaaah! Sarah-Saaaan!" She pushed herself forward and hugged Sarah tightly, blubbering against Sarah's shoulder. "Hrk... Sa-Sarah... Saan..." She began to mutter. "Y- you're my only ... Hrk... Friend! How pathetic ... Rk... Is that! Waah! The only one I can turn to is a huge cuntface! Waaah!" Akashi continued to weep and hold onto Sarah tightly.

Sarah's eyes widened in alarm when Akashi's eyes began to water up, and when the suitcase was dropped the brawler could guess what was coming. "No. W-Wait!!" she screamed but it was too late. The sumo was already on her and wrapping her in one of the famous 'Akashi hugs'. Everytime Sarah was in one of these it reminded her of her first loss to Akashi. An unpleasnt memory to be sure. Sarah didn't know what was worse. The fact that Akashi could easily turn this hug into a lethal fighting move, or that she was actaully now the sumo's shoulder to cry on.

Sarah raised an eyebrow when her shoulder began to feel damp as a result of Akashi's blubbering, and she sighed in annoyance. "Um.....there there?" Sarah responded uncertainly, not exactly used to comforting people. It was usually the opposite with her. None the less, Akashi did seem genuinly upset, something Sarah was surprised at. "What the hell are you talking about?" Sarah asked her, not bothering to remove herself from the hug. She doubted she could. "What happened to super happy go-lucky Akashi? You know, everyone's buddy?"

Akashi was as surprised that she didn't get slugged for crying all over Sarah as Sarah probably had been to see the big sumo cry like a baby. She knew not to push it and she found Sarah to actually be sympathetic. It made her pull away and wipe her sleeve and look at Sarah with a soft smile. She lowered her head. "S-Sarah-san." She said smiling and bowed. "Thank you... She whispered. She turned her head. "It's just been a little rough lately..." She didn't want to sound like she was in dire straights, but she'd been under some rough times.

"My best friend and my girlfriend have abandoned me. I mean... Mina-chan said she was away on a family emergency but... And... and Taylor-can and I got into a huge fight and now she hates me. Well, I called her a bitch and said some mean things and... I don't know! When I say things like that to you, you ust punch me and then we're cool, eheh..." Akashi looked at Sarah and smiled. "I ... don't know ... I just needed someone. I felt a lone and... you're the only one I could turn to... and... it feels weird and I know maybe we don't get along and stuff, but... I've always considered you someone... um... You know... " Akashi lifted her finger up and waggled her pinky. "We're connected by the string of fate...' She said and looked at Sara with hopeful eyes.

When Akashi finally pulled her head away Sarah's shoulder was damp with salty tears, and Sarah rolled her eyes, resiting the urge to slug Akashi across the face. While she admitted punching Akashi in the face was one of her greatest pleasures in life something told her this wasn't exactly the best time. She listened to the sumo as she spilled her guts out to her. Something about her girlfriend leaving her, that stupid brat Taylor having yet another hissy fit, and Sarah being the only one she could turn to. A pretty sad thing once you think about it.

Sighing at what she was about to do Sarah woud clear her doorway for Akashi to enter. "Well," Sarah said once Akashi was inside. "That's quite a few problems you have there. Real tough stuff. But let me ask you something. When did yoiu become such a whining bitch?" Sarah marched up to Akashi and stood right before her. "What happened to the tough as nails fatass I had to try my hardest to beat? Who is this chubby little girl bringing this highschool bullshit to my door?" Sarah may have been being a little harsh, but the Queen of Brawl had never had to deal with such problems herself. The sumo and the brawler came from different walks of life after all.

Akashi was both surprised and yet, not surprised at Sarah's outburst. The way she spoke, Aarah was right. She wanted to ball her fist up and slug the girl, also one ofAkashi's favorite pleasures in life, but she gasped a bit and panted, narrowing her eyes. "S-She's still there, Sarah-san!" Akashi growled. "Just because I'm not and emotionless dyke like you, doesn't mean that I still can't kick your ass!" Akashi clenched her fists and pushed her nose so it was right against Sarah's.

"I didn't come here to fight you, I needed some emotional support and you're the only fucking person I who's even IN my fucking life right now! I... should have expected this kind of reaction from you. You cunt." Akashi then smiled and stepped away. She looked at Sarah as her smile slipped into a grin. "One of these days, you're going to know what it feels like to have to crawl to my doorstep. And you know... as tempting as it might beto be a huge bitch to you, I'll welcome you with open arms." Akashi then made a kissy face. "And I'll kiss all your boo-boos and make them better, Sarah-san." Akashi then sighed. "Arigatou, Sarah-san." She said, bowing her head. "If you're nothing else, you're at least predictably Sarah. If that's a good or bad thing." Akashi shrugged a bit at her last statement.

Sarah stood her ground when Akashi got close (too close) to shout back at her, even when their noses touch. SHe often forgot that personal space was something that Akashi took into account whenever they were together. Never the less, Sarah allowed Akashi to vent a little lest they come to blows. Not that Sarah would have minded that. Trading punches with the sumo was one of the most challenging things she had ever done. She wouldn't mind another round, but again, this wan't the time.

Sarah smirked at Akashi when she said her piece. "Akashi, if I ever come crawling to your doorstep, it'll be because I got shot. Or beaten. Or raped. Or all of the above. You know, real problems. I won;t be because, 'boo hoo, my girlfriend left me!' Sarah rubbed her eyes in a mocking imitation of crying, then let her hands slip away to show Akashi her grinning face. "Give me a break. So what? Are you really so emotionally fragile that you're going to let those two dictate how you should feel? Grow the fuck up and then grow a pair."

Sarah would then throw an arm around Akashi's shoulders and pull her close. "Now are you gonna mope around because of those two, or are you gonna shitfaced drunk and show them you don't need them to be happy?"

Akashi sighed when Sarah put her arm around her. She smiled and did the same, wrapping it around Sarah's hip and hugging her loosely. "No, I'm not that much of an emotional wreck, but I'm not a fucking cyborg either." Akashi gave Sarah a playful shove and threw her suit case into the apartment.

She then turned around and looked at Sarah and shook her head. "You like to think you're a bad ass lone wolf, but you're not. You still surround yourself with friends and people you care about even if you might act like you don't give a shit. Maybe one day you'll feel what it's like not to have them around anymore. But, I hope you never do." Akashi then grinned. "Yes, we're going to get totally shit faced and then I'm going to personally mark off two out of those three things on your little "crawling to Akashi list" you made. Akashi then turned her head. "Um, so I hope it's not me shooting you, but the other two... beaten and raped. " Akashi then grinned. "And not necessarily in that order!"

Akashi then laughed and walked out, offering an arm out to Sarah like they were a couple, going on a date. "Oh and you're paying, champ!" Akashi snickered. "But uh... don't tell me we're riding your bike again? We barely made it home alive the last time!"

"I'm a badass motherfucker and don't you forget it!" Sarah laughed as they walked out the door, not bothering to lock it in case Rika or Sabre came wandering home. "And yeah, sure. I got friends. I'm not a fucking robot. The only difference is my friends aren't whiny pussies. Sure, we fight every once and awhile. But after the blood has been spilt and the swear words exchanged, we hug, we drink, and then we do it all over again!" Sarah grinned to herself as they stepped up to the elevator and she pressed the button, remembering all the good times. Despite her gender, she was always able to rough and tumble it out with the best of them.

"If I ever do come crawling to you, it won;t be over the highschool shit you're going through. Hell, half the time I'll probably be drunk." Snickering to herself Sarah would board the elevator with Akashi and then pressed the button for down.

When Akashi brought up her bike Sarah looked at the sumo with a sneer. "Oh, the fearless Akashi scared of a little bike ride. Someone dip you in sissy sauce this morning?" Sarah would then playfully elbow Akashi in the side. "Don't worry. We won;t take the bike. I could do for the walk. It would be good for my health." And then Sarah would fish a cigarette out of her pocket and place it between her lips, completely contradicting her last statement. "So, where should we go tonight? Bar? Club? Concert? Strip club? This our night, let's do it right!"
