Frankly, I don't care at all about wrestling. Not a single bit. I haven't watched wrestling since I was uuhh.. 13 years old? Yeah I guess that was the last one, where Rock was facing the Dudley bro's.

So, my whole reason of being here is solely to have fun with the person I would RP with. I don't care about the crowd, I don't care about using wrestling or not. Heck I don't even care about rules. I go as far as the person I RP with, is going. I have probably youtubed wrestling more then Touhou just because I don't know half of the holds that are thrown at my characters.

So, back to the Mary Sue part. If you mean unrealistic? Yeah sure. If you mean that I'm trying to get all the attention? Sure I've tried that. How many times have I won? The same amount of the years I have been here. 4.

Isn't one of the problems that while it's easy to write a "bad girl" it's really hard to make an antagonist especially with all the character delopment and stuff in the backstage and gym areas. Making most heels anti-heroes or heroic sociopaths in their creators minds. That makes it harder to adhere to face/heel dynamics.

To be fair, I am probably a lot like Cirno in this regard. I'm not the biggest wrestling fan.

I watch some Joshi matches now and then, but that's it.

I have to look up a lot of wrestling moves, and I do not care that much for the wrestling scene or how heels and faces work. I always saw AFW as a real wrestling thing, as in it's not the fake built up stuff that real wrestling is, I always saw it as just any other sport's competition but with a bit more flare and drama.

So I guess I don't agree with what Tai says, I think the invincible hero and villain thing isn't funny, but....I don't mean to hate on anything, I do have to kinda agree with somethings that Tai said. It's not that fun to watch someone like Gatt for example does what she does to someone like Angel. ( she did the same to Cecilia before... but there I didn't have any problems with it, i was trying to make it so that Cecilia would have to grow as a character, through a though defeat.) But it seems like someone like Angel should have been treated with a little more respect, if not with words then with with thoughts, if Sarah is the kind of girl that wouldn't verbally allow Angel to know that she thinks of her as a though opponent then she should maybe have done so in thought.

But well if Sarah doesn't think of Angel as a challenge then....i don't see much of a problem with it, there isn't really many that Sarah seems to think of as challenging or anything like that. (except for maybe Akashi. the rest seems to be no more then creeps from like League of Legends) But to just bring it back to the beginning.

don't know exactly what should be done....but...no one should take winning in this place so seriously. when a character has near to no losses then it's kinda boring >_> (( BTW...I know Cecilia has near to no losses...but that's ...uhm I don't know why.....she'll be getting some " title="Razz" /> )) just saying that the one who always wins, is not funny to read about or funny to rp with. I have played with one or two powerplayers, and it wasn't fun. so I have a tip much like Tai left a tip to you guys.

Winning and /or Loosing isn't everything, one thing that I always try to do is make the match interesting, and to make it seem like both characters have a chance, the most important thing for me isn't how characters treat each other, or think of others. It's just how they get treated by the rp'er and how they do with the whole making your character look in a match, if you can make a your opponents character at least look like if she put up a challenge then awesome, i don't care who wins. ( I kinda did think that Angel could beat Sarah at several points, and up till the end I wasn't sure who was going to win. so that's a good thing in my opinion. So I don't have any complaints about the match...I liked it quite a bit...)

Anyway, without contributing to any of the lingering bad stuff in this thread, I'll just say that Tai does have a very good point, and those of us who aren't big pro wrestling fans could learn from it rather than deflecting it with the lack of fandom. To each his own, of course, but I like to try to do things well regardless of the style. However that's relevant, idk.

Oh, and the refusing to lose thing is just bad RP'smanship. Poor form. You all know who you are and why you do it!

Im trying to bring up the issue of respecting your rp partner/opponent and the issue of a growing lack of respect between rpers that Ive been noticing around here over the past year.


Though since Bluemouse mentioned it, I am curious as to why people who care nothing for/know nothing about wrestling bother with a primarily wrestling rp forum.

I'm not gonna' lie... I'm kinda' scared to post now... I think I balanced all my characters pretty well in personality and fighting style, and I try and give the other person feedback on certain things whenever possible, even if it's to just make small talk on how things are currently going... but... um, feedback?

Oh, and since Tai asked about why some of us joined the RP forum, guess I'll answer to that too. I personally have no interest in the whole wrestling scene either, however, I love role-plays that focus on fights and battles, and this is definitely one of the most fun sites to have that. And there are a lot of good Role-Players here that post really well, almost to an intimidating point for me. So... yeah, that's my spill...
