Holier Than Thou

Pulling away from Dante, Clyde had enough and would turn away from him and the door to head towards the exit and get out of the area to avoid his dilemma that he didn't want to deal with at all, but Dante was persistent as hell and would reach for Clyde's shoulder to turn him around, practically yelling in his face.

With a angry and frustrated scowl, Clyde would glare at Dante as he spoke before he decided enough was enough and would wind his arm back before lash at Dante with a sudden right hook aimed for his jaw.

As Dante pulled Clyde back, saying what he did, even though it was exactly what they were talking about, he would be quite surprised to feel his fist collide into his jaw. He would stumble back, landing on his butt as he rubbed his chin from the impact. Blinking a few times, he would look up at Clyde before his face would turn and he would grit his teeth.

Letting his frustration get the better of him, Dante would push himself up to his feet and run at Clyde, trying to tackle him into the wall.

Upon successfully socking Dante right to the floor, Clyde stood over his fallen would-be Brother-In-Law with a deep glare aimed towards his eyes, breathing heavily in and out as he dealt with the immense frustration that had built up inside him and led him to strike Dante.

"Goddammit! I told ya to leave alone!" Clyde would yell out as he pointed his finger at Dante, his arm clearly shaking. "Now ya best stay down unless you gon' want to take another ass whoopin' fro-" Clyde would let out before he saw Dante push himself up onto his feet and charge right at him. Clyde's eyes would widen at the charge, unable to get out of the way before Dante tackled Clyde and rammed the back of his head against the wall, his cowboy hat falling off after impact.

"A-Aghh!!" The Texan would let out upon feeling the pain surge into the back of his head, stunned heavily by the hit, but still trying to fight back by pounding at the back of Dante's head with his forearm.

"Yeah well I told you I'm not going to!" Dante would say as he tackled Clyde, successfully sending him straight back into the wall. In his head, the last thing he wanted to do was hurt Clyde or bring upon a big fight between the two, but with the situation escalating as it did, it seemed like there was really no avoiding it unfortunately.

Though, as he tackled him, he would go to step back, but would feel Clyde's forearm crash into the back of his head, causing him to let out a grunt in pain before he would step back, trying to ram his shoulder hard into Clyde's gut immediately afterwards.

"Damn you, Sunderland!!" Clyde would let out in frustration as the two tussled against the wall, wishing Dante would stop his boyscout attitude and just leave the quarrel between Heather and him alone, it was a lovers quarrel and he had no place in the problem Clyde felt but Dante was persistent as ever and would keep fighting even Clyde struck him, retaliating with a sudden shoulder charge into Clyde's gut.

"*Ack!*" Clyde would cough out as spittle flew from his mouth as he felt Dante's shoulder drive into stomach, wheezing up a bit from the hit that drove quite a bit of air from his lungs. "F-Fuck you!" Clyde would yell out as he tried to ram his knee into Dante's stomach and desperately push him away, trying to get some distance between the two.

Clyde was tired from lack of sleep, hurting internally for the problems he had caused with Heather and his body ached from being tazed, overworking himself and having to deal with the wrath of a protective brother. All this was building up Clyde's anger and frustration, he just wanted to be left alone and fix things, he didn't want to fight anymore but his anger was getting the best of him and Clyde would charge at Dante, attempting to rush in with a running knee lift right at Dante's chin to hopefully put the guy's lights out.

But what Clyde didn't see or even think about, was the staircase directly behind Dante.

Ramming his shoulder into Clyde's gut, Dante could tell it worked quite successfully as he would hear Clyde cough and wheeze up a bit. He would wince slightly at the sound, but would shake his head afterwards. He knew he had to follow up but as soon as he was going to, he would feel Clyde's knee ram directly into his gut, causing him to step back a bit before Clyde pushed him back even further.

"Gagh.." Dante would let out as he held his gut from the pain, stepping back a bit from Clyde. He would take a couple deep breaths in, looking up at Clyde, thinking of what he should do next before he would see Clyde coming straight towards him.

His eyes widening, he would pull himself up straight, reaching his arms out at Clyde came straight towards him. He would push his knee down that was coming straight for his face and would grab onto Clyde, trying to take him to the ground. What he didn't realize, same as Clyde, was the staircase behind him. "Whaa!??" Dante would let out in a panic as he found himself falling back, about to tumble down the staircase.

Unable to prevent it from happening, he would try to brace himself and Clyde that he was holding, so when they fell down they wouldn't take any majorly serious damage, though he knew they would be in a great deal of pain as he shut his eyes tight.

Sending Dante backwards, Clyde was ready to follow up with that sudden knee lift aimed right for Dante's jaw but just as he got in range and leapt up towards Dante to go for that knee lift, the redhead managed to actually catch him in midair. "What!?" Clyde let out in disbelief as he would remain suspended in midair for a moment with Dante holding him up, wanting to get back down, noticing they were moving backwards towards a long steep stairway that was going down quite a bit, causing Clyde's eyes to widen with fear.

Dante may have been bracing himself and Clyde, but where was no way he could prevent the elevated Texan from hitting the stairs head first unprotected as the two tumbled back and Clyde went headfirst into the stairs, his head bouncing up off of it before he tumbled down the staircase, rolling downward onto his back and stomach until he rolled against the wall, remaining against the floor with his head down as a small pool of blood began to develop under Clyde's forehead, laying there in an unconscious heap.

"Gagh!! Damn!!" Dante would let out as the two tumbled down the stairs. He would land awkwardly on his leg a couple times as well as bumping his arms and back hard on a few steps. He felt sore all over by the time they ended up on the landing at the bottom of the steps. He would sit himself up a bit, letting out a loud groan in pain before he would turn to see Clyde, lying there unconscious, bleeding.

Dante's heart would skip a beat as his eyes would widen. "..Oh God..No nononono Clyde!" Dante would let out, trying to pick himself up, but getting a heavy jolt of pain in his leg, he would stumble to his foot, leaning on the one that wasn't hurting as he panickingly fished into his pockets for his phone. Luckily though, Alessa had heard the loud bangs and had rushed out to see what was going on. She stood at the top of the stairs, looking down them in shock before she would quickly rush down.

"What happened!?" "W..we fell..He needs help quickly...th..there's a clinic that just opened near here..if..we can take him there quick." "Aaah! You're hurt too!" Alessa would let out as Dante strained himself in standing. "I'll..I'll take you both. Here.." Alessa would say, removing the coat part of her uniform as she would wrap it around Clyde's forhead, lifting him up over her shoulder.

Dante would nod as the two would quickly go around to the elevator, Dante limping as they would get themselves out of the apartment, into the car as they would head off to the newly opened clinic.
