A talk with a newbie manager

Cassie watched Drake as he made his exit, her acrobatic eyebrows knitted up into into a look of concern that only would look at home on a face like Cassie's. She hurried after him.

"Drake..." She said to get his attention. She stepped in close to him and kept her voice low. "I don't want to work with you anymore." She looked up at him nervously, as if she was either going to hurt his feelings or get in trouble, but wasn't sure which.

Mamouru was gladd to see Cassie wasok when she rushed in. He couldn't help but feel a little smug that Cassie was healthy enough to be running around, and apparently scolding Taylor into apologizing. But still, he was rwlieved most of all. He smiled when Cassie came close. He nodded to her. They would have a lot to talk about later but for now he turned his attention back to Megumi.

"I'll be sure that Cassie-San sees how it's done, Megumi-chan." he said with a smile and then turned and looked to Cassie. "Go rest, I'll talk to you later." He said and looked at Taylor silently beckoning her to follow him out of the room.

As Drake was leaving, Cassie caught up with him. Her words made him raise an eyebrow. Then he smiled, and patted Cassie on her head. "Have some faith in Mamoru Cassie," he said, "He'll convince Megumi to change her mind one way or another. And I promise I won't keep you against your will. Now go on, you look like you could use some rest."

He turned and left, a little bothered by what Cassie said. But it was her decision, and what she wanted was final. What was important was Mamoru and Cassie learning something out of this. Hopefully it would make them what Drake hoped Cassie would one day be.

Cassie gave Drake a weary smile and nodded. Her head was throbbing, despite the pain meds the staff had given her. She just needed to go home and sleep off the damage, and the loss.

Taylor followed Mamouru out. She checked over her shoulder to make sure that Megumi wasn't right there, and stood with her back to her. She leaned into Mamouru and spoke in a low voice.

"Hey, uh... That thing I said, about you... your... ya know, I didn't mean, um... I mean, it sorta slipped my mind that... I didn't remember that your dick actually is limp. I probably wouldn't have said that in front of people if I remembered it was true. And, um, thanks for sticking up for Cassie. To me." She looked like she was going to say something else that didn't quite come out, awkwardly tried to say goodbye but ended up just walking away.

"Wait up." She called after Cassie and hurried after her.
