Entropy Championship: Taylor Parker(C) vs. Tessa Price

"Your head is obviously pure solid wood..."
Tessa had a smirk on her face which had succeeded a mask of pure astounding. Most people were not accustomed to getting hit on the ears, but Taylor had grunted it away and still came at her! And to make matters even more worse than they already were, she aimed at her face!

She would bring both arms up to protect her face, neglecting any offense except to struggle with her legs to keep her face from getting bashed in by the elbow.

Taylor's elbow slammed against Tessa's forearms before the girl pushed her away with her legs. She pushed off of Tessa's stomach with both hands to get back to her feet, and while Tessa was worried about protecting her face Taylor gave her a fast soccer kick to the midsection.

"Acthually, profethor," She taunted, her kick adding emphasis. "My matches almost never make it fifteen minutes." She had a dull recollection of Tessa having said something else, but between the throbbing in her ears and the adrenaline in her veins it didn't register.

"Uh!"
She took the hit to her midsection and huffed out some air, coiling herself on the floor, even taking the way to the corner by rolling and getting up there, using the corner to support her weight for a moment.

"Sure they don't. Like Tyson. Big punch but no air to make it past round 5."
maybe that was the key to defeating Taylor. She had a big punch and a warrior's heart, but if she could keep this tempo up for 15+ minutes, she was definitely a better wrestler than Tessa at this point.

She was talking again, and back on her feet. Taylor didn't like either, because they both meant that she wasn't doing a good enough job. If Tessa had time to talk, that meant Taylor was giving her breathing room. That wouldn't do.

She didn't let up. Eventually something had to give. The first few minutes of the match were always the hardest work. She sprinted after Tessa in the corner and took a huge leap, coiling her legs and kicking both feet out, aiming to crush Tessa's chest against the turnbuckle.

*Yeah, that's it Taylor. Come running*
Tessa was grinning as soon as the Champ came in with a charge. She was anticipating a clothesline or something like that and swung herself around the ropes to pelt her opponent with a Pendulum Kick but was only kicking at thin air until the feet of the champ connected with her legs. Taylor had the advantage of having more momentum at this, so her legs swung back and basically reversed her movement and send her through the ropes on the mat of the ring.

Taylor's feet only tickled the turnbuckle before she slapped into the mat on her side. The impact was a bit more jarring without someone in the way to absorb some of her momentum, but she pushed herself back up. While Tessa was still no worse for the wear, Taylor remained more or less unscathed. That was a plus, but at this rate Taylor would need to step back for a breather soon just so she didn't burn herself out too much too early.

She stood up just as Tessa slipped back through the ropes. Without hesitation, she ducked low and reached for Tessa's legs again, gave her knee a quick tap just to draw her attention before throwing her body into a hard right uppercut at Tessa's chin.

The Champion was still not winded enough to put her away with a rather good action and had the pace for most of the time. Tessa wasn't sure how to react to that. Maybe it was her inexperience with championship matches, maybe it was the general PPV atmosphere, but maybe Taylor was really like Tyson with a rough start and no steam to follow.

It didn't come to mind that the Champ was not known to come with the same action two times in a row, but this conclussion first came to her as the uppercut hit her chin and caused her to stumble back to the ropes to find some balance back

Taylor's fist connected and knocked Tessa back against the ropes, and Taylor couldn't help but grin. This was her fight. She didn't know what this girl was all about, she had her ideas, but keeping her opponent backing up and on the defensive was all she ever needed. If she kept things simple she could pound on her all day.

She took a small step back to account for the difference in range, she didn't want to stay too close for too long, torqued her hips around and swung her right leg across low like a baseball bat, her shin aimed to bury itself just above Tessa's knee.

If Taylor could keep her worrying first about protecting herself, frustrate her, take the fight out of her, she could win any way she wanted to. That's what champions did, right? They beat the fighter and then the fight.

Things turned around on her, Taylor was on the button now. She was leaning against the ropes and the Champ was again on the move, but this train was about to stop in her mind. Until now, Taylor had the power of movement, but now she had the ropes to support her.

Before she could adjust, Tessa's legs were already wrapped around her neck.

"Ich..." Taylor's hands grabbed at Tessa's legs, trying to pry them off for a split second before the girl swung down off the ropes and flung Taylor head over heels at the mat. She landed with a heavy thud and used the rebound off the mat to help get bounce back to her feet. It seemed like a good time to back off and regroup, and Taylor quickly backpedaled away to a safe distance from her opponent.

"Nice." Taylor grinned. "Ow."

She wondered if Tessa was more experienced than she thought. People didn't just hit things like that without plenty of practice and ring experience.She took a deep breath, reminding herself not to get reckless, shook out her arms and legs and loosened up her neck before settling down into a light stance, ready to move. She always wanted to be aggressive, but she was learning patience.
