Ric stood up slowly after Deathbird tumbled off of him. He rubbed his temples for a brief moment, glancing over to his opponent, who was checking her face for any cuts that could have formed on her face, though there appeared to be nothing of the sort. "For a person who loves blood, you certainly seem to be against spilling a drop of yours," he said, making a snide remark with a strangely serious tone. No smiles or sarcasm; just unusual plainness.

He put his fists up once again, but instead of taking his time, he charged at her with no hesitation. "You aren't going to like me after this..." Normally, he would at least give his opponent a chance to get back up, but he could not afford to pull any punches with such a formidable fighter such as Deathbird. Ric threw an uppercut that was aimed at Deathbird's gut. He could not let up any longer.

Seeing that there was no cut, Deathbird would try to get up as she replied, "I don't have anything against my own blood." But as she was getting up, she saw Ric rushing forward to not give her a chance to strike back. "GUH!" cried out Deathbird as she got hit in the gut and instantly fell back down onto the mat. She moaned and groaned in pain as she would rub her gut from the massive pain that was set in. She tried to catch her breath to make it feel better.

But despite the pain in her stomach, she would faintly chuckle and say, "So, I can see you won't go easy on a girl...Heheh, way to protect your manhood."

Deathbird's verbal jab at The Hardened Soldier did not hurt his pride at all, yet it definitely sparked some feelings. "You are a hungry shark wearing the skin of a human. I'm not going to act as your prey, no matter how hungry you are." Ric lightly batted his fists together, and his eyes were locked on to his foe. "I have seen too many horrible things on the battlefield to be afraid of you."

His statement had great meaning, and the way he described it was still subtle in detail. Ric lunged at Deathbird, thrusting his elbow out to try to knock her down once again. He was trying to set up a mount, a dominant position that every wrestler should be familiar with.

Deathbird would smirk as she responded, "Why thank you, old boy, I intend to use that as my handle a lot. And you can deny me all you want, I have ways in getting you in my grip." She would get back in her fighting stance as she added, "If you are so used to being a soldier, why can't you be one for me?" Her look suddenly became seductive while deadly at the same time.

As Ric came in with an elbow strike, she would try to block it with her arm. If she did, she would try to respond with a punch to his face. If not, she'll be brought down again.

Ric's elbow did make impact---but with Deathbird's arm. In response, Ric squinted his eyes, ready for a possible counter. Surely enough, Deathbird retaliated with a punch. Ric quickly jumped back just in time to evade it. His opponent was no pushover, just as he had suspected. The Hardened Soldier extended his arm forward, locking eyes with Deathbird again.

"If I brought my 'inner soldier' into this situation, it would not be a wrestling match any more. It would be a fight to the death." Ric raised his fists to reestablish his fighting stance. "If this were happening in the streets, I would be fighting as though my life were depending on it," he continued. Ric did not engage Deathbird this time, instead waiting for her to make the move. This went against what he was taught, but sometimes risking some hits was necessary, he thought.

Deathbird would cringe a little when she felt Ric's elbow hit really hard, but at least she was able to block the attack. She would then attempt the uppercut only to be hitting air as Ric got out of the way just in time. She would lock eyes with him as she got back to her position.

Then she saw that Ric was waiting for her to strike and she would say with glee, "Oh, is it my turn? Why, thank you! How gracious of you!" She said it in an innocent tone, but she knew that Ric was not going to be a pushover. So, she would first do one handspring backwards before attempting to jump from her distance to throw a massive punch to her opponent's face.

Ric's opponent charged. The handspring she perfectly did was enough to catch him off guard, and the punch connected. Ric rolled on his shoulder to quickly get back into position. He wiped the rim of his mouth, as it was laced with dirt. He took a crack at her unusual fighting methods. "I honestly was not expecting acrobatics from someone like you. Have you ever considered joining a circus?" The question was a playful jab at her theme of acting like a bird, and her wild style of fighting. How Deathbird would interpret his remark was not known to him; her personality was mysterious.

But rather than give his dangerous opponent an opportunity to reply to his snide remark, Ric rolled toward her. He executed a somersault to cover more distance than he would if he charged at the woman. He would attempt to stop rolling within inches of Deathbird and hammer her with a swift uppercut to the chin.

Deathbird maintained her seductive and sadistic smile as she succeeded in punching Ric in the face. She then heard him ask her some questions and she answered the first one in a cute tone. "Come on, I'm a girl, what do you expect?" But at the second question, she responded in her seductive tone. "Thought about it once, but it turns there were already enough "killer" acts in the circus. And I do mean that in a mental and literal sense."

However, she didn't realize that Ric was having something else coming while she was responding. At the last moment, she felt Ric's swift uppercut to her chin. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" she screamed out as she instantly was launched from her position and flew a few inches before landing on her back hard.
