Re: What makes a good 'heel'?
Wouldn't dismissing some opponents be part of a heel's job? Make it all the more karmatically satisfying if she gets beat. That's not being a good heel, that's straight out of the evil overlords book.
Sure she can take some people seriously, but most heels have to have an ego and consider some people "below them"

Basically, someone who isn't correctly assessing threats can't be considered a threat. Sun Tsu said that. Sort of.
(And then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one,)

NEWS FLASH: the Archergurl who you speaking of is not part of AFW anymore and she's currently working in production for new game titles in Japan. I'm her Canadian friend who she gave her PC due to mines has crashed. She was nice enough to give it to me to help a friend in need. So she got a spared one that she uses for the things I've mention above. BTW, Anegge and Alexandra be sure to check the E-mail adresses carefully. As Archergurl and me aren't the same thing.

@ Flubs, it's a matter of deflating the faces. Heels can be jerks and dis whoever they want, but if they only consistently act like the face has nothing, then the face has nothing and will never get over. Faces and heels derive their heat from each other, so they have to cooperate and make each other look better.

Re: What makes a good 'heel'?
I can see the tides of this discussion slowly drifting off topic... before that happens:
Heels need to show fear of/or weakness to a Face now and then. This is a big issue for me, as a lifelong wrestling fan, I was angered at how Triple H, while a heel, would always laugh at Faces and belittle them, never showing fear or worry about anything.

The best heel for me is the one that DOES belittle their opponents, however does not commit the cardinal sin of ALWAYS being physically dominant AND ALWAYS arrogantly dismissing their opponents... The face appears to be no threat and the claims are proven correct when the heel gives them a hard time in the match... I think that's what Tai and Blue are getting at. They weren't saying that the heel shouldn't belittle their opponent, just that they shouldn't do it all the time
My personal favorite heel actually relies heavily on belittling their opponent and smack talk... However, the important fact is that this specific heel will always do the belittling and smack talk behind the face's back. For all of their big talk (and they really do love to talk big!), they are actually complete cowards. They will come to the ring and run their mouth about how weak their current rival face is and talk smack, but as soon as the face shows their.. uhm.. face... This heel will head to the hills as fast as possible, throwing many chairs and people in front of the face to help with their escape... Showing that the face are in fact a threat to them, so much so that they did not want to face them right there and then.
This kind of heel is usually weaker in most way then the face and everyone knows it (including the heel in some cases, despite them always running their mouth), because of this all the belittling does not give the impression to everyone that the face has nothing because most of what the heel says is bullshit... However, at the same time it is still a big achievement for the face to beat the heel because this kind of heel will use so many outrageously unfair and cheating tactics that matches are often stacked heavily in their favour. Usually this heel will have connections up high, money or a couple of thugs so that they can get unfair advantages and set up specific matches or situations which they would prefer.
The heel will know full well that they have done wrong but will not feel remorse afterwards... In fact they will celebrate their wrong doings... either acting innocent in an over exaggerated sarcastic manor (to show that they are anything but innocent) or mock the crowd by pointing out the unfair acts they have just performed to pick up a win and claim that it was "an amazing use of initiative"... flexing their muscles right after hitting the face with a low blow and other
similar things of that ilk.
The crowd will NOT have a split opinion of this person like some heel characters (eg. My characters the love bunnies, where the crowd actually like them for their heelish impish antics). All of the crowd will despise this person and the boos will rain in... The heel will either snap at the audience, telling them to "sit down, shut up and watch me take your hero apart!"; drink in the boos and hatred, loving every moment of it; or suffer from "hearing problems", perceiving the fans to be cheering the heels name instead of booing.
up4LTKxe0PA;www[/video:em7gll4s]
Fans will be aching for the face to get the heel in a room alone so that they can pummel them down
Final bit of advice if you make such a heel:
-This heel is best served with a dose of comedy rather then seriousness
-Despite being really annoying, somehow this character still needs to appeal to the actual players... Else they will not be chosen for matches -_-;
-DO NOT, allow this character to have a relationship with another character unless it is a heel... It eventually ruin the heel, unless the relationship is part of a storyline where the heel is purposely going to use the relationship to do something fiendish to the other half.
