Lydia sings a lovely song to welcome the arrival of Spring. She bears her winter coat (white fur), which sheds one week after the first day of Spring.

History: Lydia is one of the rare specimens known as "homo cervidae" ("deer people"). Her mother was her only company, for her father died shortly after Lydia was conceived. At age 16, Lydia's mother was shot and killed by two Canadian hunters. Lydia was found, captured, and sold to a freakshow that traveled the world with numerous odd creatures.

Six years into the freakshow, the attraction was apprehended in Japan for false advertising after a goat's "third eye" fell off. It was discovered by police that Lydia was the only genuine specimen, but they did not know what to do with her. One cop (who seemed smitten with the innocent girl) suggested that she sign up for the AFW as a member of the "Fur and Feathers" division.

At first, Lydia was reluctant to join another event for human entertainment, but he explained to her that she would be as free as society would allow her to be. He also stated that he didn't want to "see her suffer" any longer. It was then that Lydia applied for membership in the AFW, with the hope that her fellow fighters would be more loving than the humans.
