[Black Phoenix Rising] Yuriko Rine vs Tai Kamiya

Her very first match in the AFW after her return.. For some reason it didn't sound that interesting anymore.. She rested against the wall near the entrance that led to the ring, having her eyes set on her iPhone, busy switching songs so she could atleast bring herself in some sort of mood that would help her throughout the match. Still, even when she found the right song, the bored expression never left her face, like everlasting ice it was clung to her face. Half opened eyes gazing down at the lit screen, so many songs to pick from and so little time before everything was prepared for her grand entrance.

Fortunately for the staff member, the song had not yet started and the man's voice was quite loud, enough to break the soft sounds her music started with. Yuriko brought her hand up to the side of her headphones and pushed it off and down around her neck, eyeing the man.

Yuriko nodded after she heard they were ready for her, pushing off the wall and cracked her neck from side to side, trying to loosen herself up for the match so she could be ready for who she was facing. While it was odd that she would be facing a male, she had no quarrels with it. She had faced male opponents before, by force sadly as they tried to steal her possessions but they never were able to touch her. She wondered how her opponent was, whether he was kind or not.. She hid the iPhone back into the inner pocket of her coat, taking her slow steps towards the entrance and simply tilted her head when they signalled that they were going to play her theme song.

She stepped out once it started, gazing about at the crowd while she lifted her glasses back to the tip of her nose with a finger. It was truly a wonderful feeling to hear the crowd cheer for her, stepping down the ramp while the theme song brought a nice rhythm in her head. It was a fitting song for the Black Phoenix, who hopped onto the ring side and over the ropes soon after, making her way to the center of the ring and turned to face the entrance, waiting for her opponent while her theme song faded into a muted state.

After a couple minutes of the crowd cheering for the returning Yuriko, another theme song would play, the Friction crowd booing without mercy as Tai Kamiya soon walked out onto the ramp. The pink haired fighter, ironically also wearing eye glasses, though he would put them in his jacket's chest pocket, would walk down the ramp, glaring at the fans around the area. He was dressed for a fight it seemed, losing his usually casual attire for black jeans, white tennis shoes, a red tank top and a leather jacket. He would pull out a pair of fingerless gloves from his pocket and start putting them on to complete the look as he entered the ring.

"Well....this is certainly interesting...."


Indeed, the pink haired one hadnt been expecting to come to Friction. He had been called out of the blue by AFW Management, who offered him a chance to wrestle a returning star. He didnt find out till he arrived at the arena that it was a Friction show. Considering he had spent most of his day backstage surronded by girls who did nothing but glare at him, curse at him, and slap him, Tai was naturally not in a good mood, and not thrilled at meeting the person who's return was deemed big enough to have him, the most important male in AFW history, to show up.

The girl took a few steps to allow her opponent some more space within the ring. While she was interested to see what this fight would bring, all her expression could muster was that still bored look. By no means did she meant to disrespect her opponent with it but she could do very little.

Her eyes wandered to the staff member who asked if she wanted to leave any possessions in her care, mainly her glasses and Iphone but Yuriko simply shook her head from side to side, finding that she could fight well with them in her use. The staff member left with a sigh and left Yuriko at the corner post, who didn't even bother to stretch and get ready.

Once she found herself biding the time she didn't need, she stepped to the center of the ring again and waited for her opponent to get ready.

Tai would remove his jacket, though the female staff member didnt offer the same services to him, further angering him as he placed his jacket on the ring apron, before heading to the center of the ring to face his opponent.


"So...your the reason I was called over here at the last second and get harrassed by bitches all day without pay then? I guess you must be a fairly big name over here...Well...Names Tai...to a good match?"

He finished, offering a hand out to her lazily.

Yuriko didn't seem to take off anything to get her further ready for the match, perhaps she wanted to fight with her coat and glasses on or maybe it was just to bothersome for Yuriko to remove and hide it.

When the male said those things before he introduced himself, she did not feel the guilt others would because it would simply be putting the blame on herself when she did nothing wrong, so instead she just introduced her.

" I'm Yuriko. "

That was all he needed to know, bringing her own hand up to take a hold of his and lightly shake it, though the bored expression on her face never changed.

Tai blinked as she barely shook his hand.

"Well...I can tell from your enthusiasm that this will be fun.."

He said sarcastically as the bell rang, getting his arms up in a grapple stance.

Yuriko didn't really have a reply ready for that, she found it too bothersome to explain why she looked bored and by the sound of the bell, there wasn't really any time for a chatter.

When she saw her opponent in a grapple stance, she knew she was facing a wrestler, which was more in her favor then she thought, finding a quick way to dispose of it though. She rushed straight towards Tai, closing the little gap between them and lowered herself, attempting to spear the male to the ground.

"Aw Crap!"

Tai had just enough time to say before he was tackled to the ground, rolling away from the girl and getting to his knees, holding his stomach as he breathed in and out to try and recover quickly from the fast move.

Once she had brought the male onto her ground but she could not follow up with another attack. No matter though, she did not want to get herself in trouble doing so, her eyes remained on her opponent as he rolled away.

She got back upon her feet rather quickly and turned to target him once more, running straight towards him and aimed low this time, not planning to hurt his face as she jumped lowly off her feet, aiming to dropkick him straight on the chest while he was kneeled up.

Tai looked up in time to see Yuriko running at him again, not willing to stand and take chances, he would roll away!
