She is capable of blending in, sneaking around, and hiding quite well. A swift strike with the element of surprise is the best way to incapacitate a foe if no other options are available.

Personality: Imperturbable, yet always pleasant and cheerful. Her lips often give the faintest expression of a smile and that is all one needs to see the cheerfulness muted by Thea's generally relaxed demeanor. While Thea is a thinker, she is always quick to leap into action to help others and quicker to think through a problem, capable of putting together plans of action on the fly. Thea is definitely the sort who runs toward an explosion to help anyone she can.

History: The death of her mother shortly after Thea was born was the start of the slow downward spiral of the Beckett family. Thea's father was a cop, her brother fought in underground cage fights, and the two never saw eye to eye. Thea took to learning and reading like it was nothing, and was as charming and polite as they came. Because of the environment they grew up in, Thea was home-schooled, mostly self-taught, and not often given opportunities to socialize beyond dancing lessons. The day Thea was attacked, and barely saved by her father, was a turning point. Thea's father and brother never saw eye to eye, but they both agreed: Between the three of them, only Thea had a real future ahead of her. And so they went all in to help her. Her brother taught her how to survive, how to fight, often through repeated playful fights every time she let her guard down. Eventually, Thea became quite good at hiding herself and getting a drop on her brother. She caught on quick, and soon became a match even for him. Capable of defending herself and ever curious, Thea contributed to the household by selling drugs against her family's wishes, using her charm and skills to keep herself safe and even help a few addicts who were hurting themselves to seek help. Eventually, she was able to pursue her dream: Medical school. Soon after joining, her brother, and then later her father, died. The loss of her family was painful for Thea, and her studies suffered. She took to selling stolen medical supplies from the school to keep the cash flow going to pay off her loans... That habit soon got her expelled.

Adrift, lost, Thea was eventually invited to a dance party by one of her close friends. Losing herself in the dance, it was not until the world completely went dark and came back in a rush of sound and fury that she realized a bomb had gone off. In the flame-licked panic, Thea went to work, using her training to stabilize a young man near her, prying out shrapnel with silverware and disinfecting his wounds with the party's vodka. "The good stuff" the man had tempted her with just a few minutes ago.

The man whose life she saved turned out to be Rocco Salvatore, a member of the Giovanni crime family. Thea had made a powerful friend that day, and soon she found herself, against her protestations, drawn into working an underground clinic. Off the radar, and with no need for a proper medical license, it was a good place for Thea's unique situation. Working with a veteran surgeon, Thea served as assistant, diagnostician, pharmacist, manager, secretary, negotiator, and sometimes even bodyguard. It was not an ideal life but one she greatly enjoyed. It challenged her like nothing else.

She remained friends with Rocco, platonic, of course. He remained fascinated by her drive, and she by his charm and prestige. But when a member of the Giovanni family turned state's evidence, Thea had no choice but to get out of town. As a friend of Rocco, she would no doubt be sought for questioning. Quickly, Thea arranged herself an escape from the country to Japan. She had learned a good deal of Japanese from some of the immigrants she had treated and found she could fit in well there.

The AFW, a place for wayward and lost women who got injured frequently and with little in the way of hiring standards, it was a perfect place for Thea to practice her craft. It did not take her long, however, to get noticed by the management for her fighting skills, and the lure of a higher paying contract was tough to resist, as much as she abhorred the spectacle.

- Thea's father was old fashioned, and as a result, a lot of Thea's slang tends to be a little tepid for the times.
- Thea loves dancing and techno music.
- Ever since the bomb blast, Thea remains hard of hearing in her left ear.
- She does not like to brag, but Thea was a shrewd negotiator at the clinic and had a habit of outwitting and outfighting even the most surly patient or determined hitman.
- Though, as a doctor, she does not have any problems with nudity, Thea remains somewhat of a prude when it comes to sexual matters.
- Thea loves confined spaces. She spent a good chunk of her youth snuggled away in towel closets and similar nooks and crannies. She feels much more comfortable in a cramped environment than an open one.
