Combat Attitude: Cold and vicious. Shotokan teaches to use the minimum amount of force to break your opponent´s will to fight, and Naoko firmly believes in this, doing nothing most than the necessary to beat her opponents… save for those occasions when she gets in a mean mood and decides to torture someone instead of just beating them. Since her father´s dead, she has been more prone to do this than not.

Combat Strategy: Naoko mixes the hard blocking techniques of Shotokan with some vicious strikes and wrestling moves. She tries to pick the tactic that would better work depending on the opponent and is not shy to cheat if she considers this is needed.

Style Strategy:

Naoko will study her opponent carefully while trying different techniques before engaging them fully. She will see what works better against that opponent from her arsenal, strikes, holds, pain locks, etc. If nothing seems to be working, or if she sees a good opportunity to do it, she will use her boken (kendo stick) to knock them out. Naoko has become meaner and meaner since her father´s murder. Before she just beat her opponents as quickly and efficiently as possible, but now she is becoming more and more sadistic, taking her time to toy with her victims and terrorize them.

Favorite Attacks:

Age-Uki (Raising block): is a stiff blocking technique used to deflect high attacks while maintaining contact with the attacking instrument (limb or weapon) by sweeping it overhead. It is performed with extreme force and speed and it is known to have sometimes broken the attacking instrument. Even if the attacking limb isn´t broken, it is usually badly hurt and leaves the attacker wide open for retaliation.
Guillotine choke: Naoko will place her opponent´s head down then put her arm around their neck into a position similar to a headlock, to then slide her forearm down under their chin and around their neck making sure that the blade of her forearm is against their neck. Then grasp the wrist of the choking arm with her free hand. If the victim doesn´t submits quickly they will pass out.
Kendo strikes: Quite simply Naoko will use her kendo stick to beat her opponent mercilessly while the referee is distracted or knocked out.

Common Finishers:

Dead in White: Naoko will mix her knowledge of different martial arts to bring a world of pain for her opponent. Starting with and Age-Uki block to the under of the chin, hitting the chin/jaw/throat-area with her forearm; Naoko would open up her hand and snake it around her victims head under her armpit into a guillotine choke. Then letting herself fall down to nail her opponent´s forehead into the mats with a DDT, Naoko will apply pressure to the guillotine hold while se lifts her knees to strike at the opponent´s side.

Usually cold and distant with anyone save her lover Stephanie, Naoko has begun to fall more and more in fits of rage as her whole world and all she had achieved felt apart with his father´s demise. Naoko hates this as she considers showing any kind of emotion a weakness and she only allows herself to be weak when alone with Stephanie. She is now a woman with a mission and she will not stop and won´t let anything get in her way until she finds her father´s killers and avenges him.


History:

Naoko was born into a Yakuza clan, the clan Shinoda, member of the Yumiguchi-Gumi Family, the most powerful Yakuza family in Japan. Her mother died when she was very young and her father tried to shield her away from the life of crime by sending her away with her mother´s family. Although her father though this was Naoko would be saved by not being exposed to the Yakuza, Naoko was actually more than willing to become a Yakuza herself.

Naoko soon became involved in high school gang activity, forming her very own gang, Shiro Shinde and terrorizing her school and nearby neighborhoods. It was during this time that Naoko meet Stephanie, whom she called Aka. Naoko derived endless hours of fun by having her thugs beat on Stephanie, until one day Stephanie attacked her, ignoring the beating Naoko´s thugs were giving her to just punch Naoko in the face. It was after this that Naoko took on a liking for Steph and invited her to join the Shiro Shinde. Soon they became friends and even lovers.

As the Shiro Shinde grew in power and strength, they begun to take down rival gangs and soon Naoko directed her forces against his own father´s agents. Her dad distressed by this band of young gangsters so bold as to challenge his power, finally put a price on their leader´s head, not knowing she was her own daughter. And when his thugs finally brought him the infamous leader of the Shiro Shinde, he was more than shocked to find it was none other than Naoko. Beat into a bloody mess but smiling defiant at her father.

Since then Naoko´s Shiro Shinde became part of the Shinoda Clan, and together amassed an enormous amount of power inside the Yumiguchi-Gumi Family. Until Naoko´s father mysterious dead. Without their clan leader the Shinoda family quickly felt into disarray, many of their agents unwilling to take orders from a girl, specially such a young one as Naoko.

Naoko swore to take vengeance for his father´s dead and fall, but she had no idea where to start, until she received a mysterious anonymous call, telling her that if she wanted to find the killer of her father, she should look at the AFW. Naoko immediately joined the AFW.
