Zero Kotobuki vs "Mad" Max

One Hour Time Limit Match
Highest number of falls wins.

The arena lights flashed blue, and from the backstage area emerged Zero Kotobuki. Dressed in her usual black one piece wrestling outfit complete with pads and boots, the woman came out to the cheer of audience, but her expression showed nothing but a blank slate. Even though she had just joined the AFW, she had already made quite an impact in her debut match. Her growing fanbase was eager to see if she would emerge victorious again in this unique match.

Without a word Zero started off for the ring. As usual, people reached out to touch her for a brief feel, but she seemed to be ignoring them, or just disinterested entirely. Either way, she made a straight line for the ring, and climbed inside it once she was there. Heading to her corner, zero started her routine warmup stretches as she awaited the arrival of her opponant.

The blue lights quickly turned to a silver tone as what seemed to be silver confetti fell in front of the stage. A muscular man wearing a silver singlet emerged on the stage, complete with silver hair and some silver war paint on his cheeks. A grin was on Max's face as he made his way down with his patented silver hammer in hand. As he walked, he swung at his knees twice every so often. As the lights returned to normal, it could be seen that he was wearing two metal plates on his knees, emitting the "clang, clang" he so loved.

The crowd simply watched in a bit of confusion as to how to cheer or jeer for him. Sure, they had seen him on television from his campus matches, but this was the first they had seen him in the arena. As he got to the edge of the ring, he would unstrap the plates to reveal silver-painted knee pads, leaving them and the hammer by the steps before rolling into the ring and giving his opponent a look over.

He would semi-maniacally grin at her, "An hour-long match? Should be fun."

Zero raised an eyebrow as her opponant made his way to the ring wearing what looked like armour on his knees. What kind of person did that? Not only that he was carrying a weapon. At first Zero thought he was going to use these things in the match, which couldn't be legal. But as he set these things aside, her worries were gone.

"..." As always, Zero didn't say much to her opponant, if anything at all. She was queiet by choice. In her opinion talking only distracted her in a match, so when fighting she never said a word. And her face was as blank as ever as Max gave her his maniacle grin.

The bell rang to begin the hour long match. Each wrestler would have one hour to score more falls than the other one for a victor to be declared. Knowing this, Zero raised her arms in a defensive position, and watched her opponant carefully.

Max just shrugged as it seemed his opponent had no answer for him. He resumed his grin as he noted Zero getting into a defensive position, which he would mimic by getting into a grappler's stance. He didn't want to make the first move, but this match would have it's ups and downs due to the nature of it.

"Shall we start this dance...traditionally?" He asked, approaching Zero, ready for a good old-fashioned test of strength. He knew nothing of this girl, so it was time to at least find something out.

Zero narrowed her eyes on Max and his raised arms. A test of strength was as good as anyway to start the match off, so she decided to accept. She knew nothing of Max either, and needed to know what kind of man she as dealing with.

Moving forward and watching Max cautiously, Zero would raise her hands and and entwine fingers with his. Once they were locked up, Zero would start to push back with all her might in an attempt to overpower Max.

Max would immediately bare his teeth and hold them tight together as he pushed back with all of his strength to counteract a surprising surge of power that Zero had put forth, although it wasn't seeming as though either would budge in this first match-up.

The crowd cheered loudly for either Max or Zero to triumph over the other in this contest of power, but it seemed like the two were evenly matched for now. Neither was gaining any ground against the other. Until Zero decided to make her move. Releasing one of Max's hands, she'd try to twist the other one, slipping behind his back to trap him in a hammerlock. if she managed that, her other arm would wrap around his throat, adding a chokehold to the mix.

Max had not expected such a quick change of strategy from Zero as she switched to an armbar. He would have nothing of it though as he would try and duck down while trying to untwist his arm in a counter-offensive, trying to avoid the choke as well. If successful, Max would try to turn the armbar on him into an armbar of his own.

Max was quicker than Zero had originally anticipated, and before she knew it her hammerlock was swiftly reversed, and she was tthe one now held in place. She immediately grimaced as the first tingle of pain set it, and for the moment was trapped. But just as quickly as Max had escaped her hold, Zero would quickly throw an elbow back into his ribs. If this made Max lose his grip on her, she'd reach over her shoulder for his head, grab it, and with a grunt would use it to try and snapmare Max right over her shoulder.

Max could tell just from these few opening moves that this wasn't going to be a simple match, especially with multiple falls impending. Not much could be done about the elbow thrown back into his ribs, which caused Max to loosen his grip and allowed Zero the opportunity she was looking for to pull off the snapmare, tossing Max over her shoulder right away. "Uggh!" escaped his lips as Max was momentarily dazed.
