Re: Ciara Austerlitz!
Yeah, as far as the whole relation to Japan goes, it's basically background, background, background. I doubt there would actually BE an AFW if I brought all this Ultranationalist craziness to Japan itself, so it's the REST of the world's problem for now.
If an Ultranationalist finds out that the founder of ICEPS is living in Japan, however, then it could get interesting. All in all, just have a whole buncha stuff lined up just in case for plot development. Also wanted to confirm that Russia wasn't taken over entirely and thus won't invade the U.S., at least not before the Ultranationalists get royally screwed over by the rest of the world, anyways.
So yeah, enjoy the appreciative military salute of a character that is Ciara Austerlitz. I'm trying to bring up a slew of other characters that won't have terribly complicated international backgrounds in the foreseeable future, but for now, it looks like Lysandra, Katsumi, and our favorite One-Four-One gal. (Which reminds me, I've got to get Lysandra up sharpish. XP)

Re: Ciara Austerlitz!
You know, after giving this idea some thought, I actually kind of see some potential issues with it. I hope you don't mind some constructive criticism.
Obviously, I, personally, have no issues with indepth backgrounds and such. But considering the sheer scope of this background—actually engulfing a new entire premise and story in itself—in which there's all kinds of major conflict that would inevitably effect the entire world and several, if not all, of our characters... Well, that is kind of a big deal. Is this going to be like amended to the AFW history and background or something? Because it's seems a little unfair for people to just have to stumble across all this relevant history by either looking at a few character's bios or stumbling upon a few topics on the forum. xD
One more obvious example being the fact that I already know there's more than a few military background characters in the AFW and for the majority of them to just be completely oblivious to this seems particularly silly. x3 Not to mention the characters who are actually from Russia or the United States—they would certainly know about all of this.
Also, just by subjecting everyone to this reality... I mean, it's creating a big conflict which, hey, who doesn't like a little conflict? But it really seems like a conflict that's very isolated from the actual theme of the roleplay; anime and wrestling. It's just not something everyone's character is readily accessible to—nor would they potentially want to be included. Also, I don't know if emulating this war torn world setting within the AFW organization would even be a good idea either, whether it was "behind the scenes" or what—it could be fun, however. Ultimately, I like the idea of creating some meaningful conflict and some of this idea does seem appealing. To give some of my personal preference, I'd rather steer away from the whole "adopt and change" Call of Duty's story—there's certainly some appealing aspects to it but I think it work better as inspiration; not such a direct approach.
Lastly, let me just say that I am speaking my mind with the utmost respect. I certainly don't mean to hurt anyone feelings or outright insinuate that I oppose their creativity. This is merely my own perception and opinion which I felt like sharing since we happened to be on the topic. After all, this isn't a fanfic one person is writing here. We're all in this together—creativity and expression alike. :3

Re: Ciara Austerlitz!
Yeah, sorry, I've been kinda busy this week, but I have been thinking about what you told me this entire time.
So yah, I got waay ambitious and I guess I used my fanfictioner side more than my RP'ing side. Sorry about that. My story kinda amounted to a non-nuclear third World War, aand that would put a wrench into everyone's plans, pretty much. So yeah, I'm definitely scaling that stuff back, the Second Russian Civil War portion, at least. I've decided to turn that into a conflict on the scale of one of those many small altercations that Russia's had over the years. (Think the Georgian War.) The whole Makarov uprising spiel's a no-no in the past-tense and therefore nothing of groundshaking import has happened before present-day AFW that anyone else obviously would have heard of.
In short, disregard most of that over-ambitious war novel nonsense, I tend to get carried away and upscale when I'm writing.
Hope this didn't turn anyone off and looking forward to RP'ing with you guys in the future!

It happens.
IMO, this might be the one RP setting where you could get away with a totally incongruous back story, because it's pro-wrestling. Who's to say that any character's background is 100% true?

NEWS FLASH: the Archergurl who you speaking of is not part of AFW anymore and she's currently working in production for new game titles in Japan. I'm her Canadian friend who she gave her PC due to mines has crashed. She was nice enough to give it to me to help a friend in need. So she got a spared one that she uses for the things I've mention above. BTW, Anegge and Alexandra be sure to check the E-mail adresses carefully. As Archergurl and me aren't the same thing.

Hey, it's all good! Don't sweat it. :3I doubt anyone can very well shun you for trying to create a quality character for the rest of us to play with!
I'm just glad you were selfless enough to take the time to make necessary changes. I appreciate it. :]
