Ciara Austerlitz!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. xD
I just happened to take a good look KyrasPyravi's bio for her a moment ago and realized that was the apparent series her history includes her in. It was painstakingly obvious though I didn't catch on at first even with Task Force 141 plastered in her subject. xD
So, that means Russia invaded the U.S. in the AFW universe? >___>
Oh, oh! Does that mean I can make my next character from Bad Company? Pffffft to heartbeat sensors, I say! >:3
While I doubt I was truly the first to make this connection, I will gladly take my cookie and cool points if so!

!
No making a character that jabs themselves with a syringe to get all their health back. That's cheating.
Wait, was Gunny in on this? Oh my god, she was the mastermind!

Re: Ciara Austerlitz!
X3 The secret's out! By the way, warning: massive amounts of words incoming.
Anyways, I changed around a lot of what happened in MW1 for the background which obviously changed around almost all of what happened in the MW2 timeline. Firstly, I introduced ICEPS, which is a massive multi-billion dollar international security corporation responsible for a plethora of new technology and an additional helping hand for the prevention of crazy fundamentalist/Ultranationalist wankery in general. This allowed me to make the background for one of my upcoming characters and pull my domino effect on the CoD universe. Here is said domino effect. A combination of a directional EMP weapon and a prototype omnidirectional signal jamming system courtesy of Allaric Tremaine prevents Al-Asad from detonating the nuke in the Saudi Arabian War, giving more than enough time for the bomb to be defused and saving the lives of over 30,000 U.S. soldiers, including one Sergeant Paul Jackson. General Shepard becomes indebted to the founder of ICEPS and does not receive a motivation for screwing everyone in five years' time (He's still a hardass, though). Paul Jackson and Lt. Vasquez join Griggs in the British-U.S. joint task force that captures Victor Zakhaev (Vasquez goes brutally practical and blows off Victor's gun hand with his trusty W1200 shotgun) and later stops Imran Zakhaev's two nukes in MW1. During the highway chase, Paul Jackson makes a fateful shot with a requisitioned RPG that makes the pursuing Hind veer off at the last second before it blows the bridge, where it is subsequently blown up by a pair of F-15s that Shepard deployed as last-minute support. The task force then smashes through the barricade that Zakhaev had set up for them and Price gets off a potshot that is only a foot away from killing the Ultranationalist leader. Gaz and Griggs live to fight another day, and Price is not taken into Russian custody.
Less than a week later, Zakhaev, knowing that the chips are all down, signals the beginning of the Ultranationalist military and political campaign to seize control of the Russian Federation, replacing his son with Vladimir Makarov as his second-in-command. Makarov soon proves his malevolent worth by launching a devastating offensive against the beleaguered Russian Army while simultaneously and unauthorizedly triggering unrest, urban violence, factional fighting, and outright revolt in large swathes of India, the Korean Peninsula, South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe because of his myriad Ultranationalist cells, threatening influence over third-world military leaders, and twisted propaganda. Nearly a third of Russia and many nations that were once within the borders of the Soviet Union fall within the year, creating the "New Russia," a massive area of Ultranationalist dominion. Despite this success, Zakhaev punishes his second-in-command for playing nearly the entire hand at once, an event that creates a rift between him, Makarov, and the rest of the Ultranationalist power structure.
However, the United States is galvanized by the fact that two nuclear missiles that belonged to an insurgent organization, not a nation, had been fired at the East Coast and that the individuals responsible were not only still at large, but conducting a worldwide military campaign to carve out a sphere of influence. General Shepard gains a massive increase in military funding from the U.S. government (though not a blank check) and helps spearhead a multinational coalition to support the Russian Federation. Members of the Coalition include the U.S., the People's Republic of China, Israel, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, to name some. The Coalition also receives some unlikely and tentative alliances with nations such as Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba, partly because of the unifying threat of the Ultranationalists in general and partly due to the fact that Makarov's unrest has severely threatened the authority of their regimes. ICEPS deploys an impressive amount of manpower and new technology to bolster the Coalition, and the Ultranationalist campaign quickly loses momentum when the allied forces arrive.
Despite all this, Zakhaev's Ultranationalist regulars are far from finished, still capable of fighting as a formidable cohesive force, and Makarov seems to possess a virtually unlimited number of poorly-trained fanatics and insurgents through his worldwide network of irregulars. Along with plenty of other Spec Ops groups, General Shepard creates Task Force 141 as a superelite fighting force. Besides Paul Jackson, Price (not captured XD), Gaz, and Griggs, one of the new additions is a grim woman known only by her codename "Windowpane," who has been fighting as part of a veteran mercenary platoon formerly under the employ of the Russian Federation that was requisitioned partly by Shepard and partly by Allaric Tremaine. She will be important later. Ciara "Sledge" Austerlitz and Gary "Roach" Sanderson are thrown into this mess as relatively fresh recruits that are nonetheless well-qualified for the One-Four-One. They are soon deployed to Eastern Europe, where the bulk of the fighting is taking place. Additional U.S. forces deploy to South America, Africa, and the Middle East along with European Union troops and Mexico's military forces. China's doing what China does best and exploiting its capability to mobilize massive numbers of soldiers and send them almost everywhere in support, though maintaining significant focus on Russia.
Five years of hell ensue. Most of the uprisings in South America, Africa, and Asia are quelled, beaten back, or snuffed out, but a brutal half-decade of fighting slogs on and on in the regions of the former Soviet Union. By the time Ciara and others receive a new assignment and the raven-haired girl arrives in Japan, the war has already claimed over 2.5 million lives in Eastern Europe, nearly a million lives in the Middle East, and around 3.4 million lives in the rest of the world. Nonetheless morale is relatively high and many nations including members of the EU, the People's Republic, and Japan have chosen to censor and water down the vast majority of media coverage regarding the Ultranationalist Crisis and the Second Russian Civil War. Japan has not been a major target of ambitious and often suicidal Ultranationalist terror strikes, largely because Makarov and Zakhaev are unaware that Allaric Tremaine lives in Hokkaido, so if any characters are unaware of the actual shitstorm that's transpiring, it's all good.
At this time, Roach, Windowpane, MacTavish, and Price are only a matter of weeks away from being deployed to retrieve the ACS module (despite the fact that the U.S. responded quickly and effectively when the satellite went down, completely replacing the codes, re-encrypting, and cutting almost all connections to the captured module before the Ultranationalists could take advantage of it, like they WOULD HAVE DONE) to deny the enemy any tidbit of information that could be used as leverage to create vulnerabilities in the U.S. defense system. I will probably feature this later in the summer when I get the chance.
As side notes, first, territory in China and Taiwan has been requisitioned by the Coalition as a test bed for an effective ballistic missile defense shield. Why? Because a nation would probably be happily cooperative if they were offered to have a nuke shield protecting their land, even as an experiment. Secondly, the Russian Federation hasn't exactly been the most spotless government during this war, with plenty of corruption, infighting, and seedy/dirty assignments to go around. Ciara's even been a part of a few of those. This means if your Russian character was part of a rather black mark in the history of said government or still is, it's in the clear, they can still be a part of the Russian Federation. That and I'm not exactly sure if being an Ultranationalist would be conducive to their success (or survival) in the AFW.
Anyways, feel free to use this any way you want. Killing One-Four-One members is rather off-limits for me, though. The whole Russian campaign thing means that Bad Company is completely open. Plus, a good amount of the Special Forces have snuck a few (or a lot of) peeks at raw streams coming in from the AFW in Japan. As Haggard once said after the conclusion of the rematch between Sarah Gatt and Akashi Tanikaze: "That is the greatest thing I have ever seen in my entire life."

In comparison, my fanciest character kayfabe is "She wants to be a sumo wrestler when she grows up."

Re: Ciara Austerlitz!
While clearly thought out, this still cracks me up because it has very little to do with Japan, and more so, the AFW. xD
Or at least that's my impression. Regardless, thanks for, erm... clearing that up! :3
And, just for the record, the Bad Company character was very much a joke. xD
Hm, well, maybe if knife kills were allowed in the AFW... I do like shiny dog tags. *~*
