Strategy and Style – Typically Rio prefers to use strikes as the opening salvo within her matches in an effort to rattle her adversary's and enhance her chances of grounding her foe's. A goal she usually achieves thanks to her fierce physical strength and unexpected aptitude as a powerhouse, but once on the canvas Rio unleashes her true wrestling aptitude with muscle straining and tendon stretching submissions. All with sadistic glee and startling expertise. Even escaping her clutches only leaves you weathered and susceptible to other means of victory on her part. Rio is a student of the game with a honed knowledge of the fundamentals that makes her a danger in any situation, but lacking the ability to adapt on the fly when things turn sour and leave her flustered in exasperation.

1) Reach For the Sky –A submission whose name may not make much sense until after you see it in action. Rio criss-crossing her foe’s legs over eachother while their flattened to the canvas before angling them backward with a grip over their neck. A bow and arrow submission performed that has their back curved at an excruciating angle over Rio’s knees until she finally has them reaching for the sky for any salvation from the pain.

2) Iron Chair – A single-legged Boston Crab application that can take multiple stances depending on how viciously Rio wants to torque in the submission. Either a standard application or yanked backward to the point Rio’s backside is settled atop the side of their face. A practiced favorite within her repertoire and testament that even basic wrestling maneuvers, when applied masterfully, can bring any wrestler to their knees.

3) Diva Tamer – A cinched in camel clutch with few other bells and whistles tacked on aside from Rio having zero qualms with riding out her adversary for as long as it takes until they’re screaming out a submission. The name admittedly derived from how effective it became in putting those Sweet Divas in their place, and she has little desire to change it considering the online popularity she garnered from making those idols sing Rio’s type of song.

4) Roadkill - Whether through a sock to the breadbasket or stamping down on their toes, Rio first aims to have her adversary hunched over themselves to better position her knee against the back of their head. The sight of the ring canvas abruptly rocketing towards them as their plastered facials gets savagely smashed downward in a knee drop bulldog that can take the fight out of anyone.

Finishing Moves :
1) Iron Maiden Lock  – Dangerous in how it can be securely latched upon an opponent from out of nowhere in the middle of any grappling situation regardless of the breakneck pacing. Rio tucks her opponent’s head underneath their armpit, constricting their throat in the process, while applying a tensed body scissors upon the recipient’s torso. Cranking down and constricting the expansion of their ribcage, lungs and diaphragm to make breathing a laborious effort, and all but guarantees a trip to snoozeville.

2) Berserker's Crucifix – So named for the crucified positioning of their arms, and for the sheer terror this lone submission wreaked on the Berserk roster as its list of amassed victims grew to a ridiculous length back in Rio’s old federation. Snuggly tucking an opponent’s arm between her thighs and flipping them over onto their back if they are not already on the floor, Rio snatches hold of their wrist and yanks it straight to the side, causing immense hyper extension of the shoulder and elbow.

3) Natural Disaster – Heralded by some spiteful smack talk and obnoxious insistence about her impending victory while she has her foe yanked up to their knees by their hair, Rio proceeds to make good on her prediction by hauling her adversary atop her shoulders in a fireman's carry position. She hauls them to the middle of the ring for a pathetic display before extending her arms to hoist them high into the air for a split second. A swift descent taken by them into a cranium rattling overhead kick that can kayos opponent's instantly.

Personality: Sneering arrogance perhaps being what people notice first from Rio once approached, but it’s a confidence forged within her own soul through sheer grit and determination to excel in the wrestling craft she cherishes. Mocking her foes and grinding her boot treads into their face is merely her way of whittling down the undesirables who don’t have the fortitude to make it within this industry in the first place. She considers herself a firm believer in the dignity that comes with the pursuit of strength and respectful of those who strive through sheer grit and determination to reach their ambitions whether they succeed or not. She believes that those with power have the only right to dictate the rules and overall thinks less of those content to be lethargic and unwilling to improve upon themselves. Besting her in a match can have you earn her respect and even friendship should the stars align, but outside the ring she bears a strict demeanor and even quick trigger temper at times.

Past/History: Rio Kazama owes much to wrestling in her viewpoint. Although she spent precisely zero time even thinking about the sport from within juvenile detention centers throughout her formative years. Lacking any discernible talents aside from her propensity for picking fights alongside fostering a prickly attitude, Rio grew up within a poverty-stricken household that was torn asunder by alcoholism and divorce from her parents. Suffice to say she learned early on that life never gives anyone anything that isn’t earned first, especially since she was given nothing at the beginning except roads to ruin all around her. A knack for athletic competitions alongside several school coaches all guided her fire-hearted passion towards wrestling. Exercise routines enveloping her world as the sport offered a means to vent her frustrations and offer a venture she could strive to excel in with training mats soaked in perspiration. In time she became a ruthless competitor who rose throughout the ranks until offered a scholarship to university. Rio was ecstatic to have a vibrant career path now instead of wallowing in destitution, and she owed it all to a sport that rightfully earned its hallowed history alongside her dedication to it and the ceaseless competition within.

Rio settling to join and earning her name within the wrestling federation BERSERK as an arrogant yet skilled competitor who wrestled her way to the top of the card. However one day while she was training in the gym Rio noticed a pair of upstarts idols using wrestling as just another venue to promote their ditzy sugar pop music, Sakura Hagiwara and her friend Elena Miyazawa. Rio being outright insulted by their callous indifference to what she cherished, and challenged their supposed qualifications and dim-witted beliefs that they could ascend in this business. Elena suffering a pitiable defeat within the ring with scathing remarks offered towards Sakura, who challenged Rio herself to the same results. Rio acting as a vengeful scythe who sheared Sakura's hopes of succeeding in wrestling alongside shearing the idol of her flowing locks...or at least she assumed. She figured this would be the last she saw of the pitiful pop idol. The Iron Maiden's career progressed exceedingly well, wins racked up until she was on the cusp of ascending even higher within BERSERK. That is until Sakura resurfaced with yet another thrown gauntlet.

Except this time...Rio's best efforts came up wanting against the pop idol. Sakura exploiting Rio's overconfidence with a blitzed offense combining her trained athleticism as an idol and unexpected striking prowess. The tide of battle changing from going back-and-forth to Sakura outwrestling Rio and attaining confident and dominant control of the match. Unable to fathom what was transpiring, Rio found herself gazing into the spotlight above with a defeat she thought inconceivable. Swallowing her stubborn pride the Iron Maiden accepted her loss with grace and acknowledged Sakura as a worthwhile wrestler after all. It was a match that opened her eyes in ways she couldn't imagine as to what it truly meant to achieve success in this world. Time passed and she aided Sakura onward as a comrade, but she took it upon herself to accept other wrestling contracts in order to continue broadening her horizon. All in the hopes she could see what the view is from the top of mountain...and not be left behind by her friends.

Fun Facts:
1) Rio HATES newcomers to the sport until they can prove themselves, but her animosity also stems from the fact that they remind Rio of her own early days when she struggled so vehemently to excel in wrestling.

2) Rio isn't much of a social butterfly and is severely lacking in the relationship department, finding herself far too busy for romance. She just thinks she doesn’t have the time to fool around with it.
