Summer Splash 2023: Friction World Title Match: Rebecca Tomko vs ???

Unfortunately, given who some of the former champions were back from Angel's time in the federation, merely possessing the World Championship title didn't necessarily equate to being the best in the federation. A certain Texan blowhard named Kelly Conway made sure of that by blemishing the title's reputation in that regard. But Rebecca was absolutely making her case be heard as the best in the company considering she already had the former champion retreating towards one of the corner turnbuckles. Stalking Angel like a methodical and machete wielding serial killer who'd heft the snarling Angel back to her feet...and make her an unwilling participant in the space program. Simultaneous breaths were held within the arena as Angel soared in terror-stricken panic as she cleared the ring with a savage slam onto her back. The recoil jostling Angel back to her wobbled feet albeit in a slouched over posture, quivering legs giving out as she fell forward with her head sunken against the middle turnbuckle and legs outstretched behind her.

Sending people sky high like that was always a satisfying feeling, especially when they finally hit the canvas afterwards and Angel's flight was no exception "Hell yeah!" the champ mumbled to herself, giving a small fist pump in recognition of a job well done while the Platinum haired wrestler struggled back to her feet the other side of the ring from her. That was the one downside to throwing people like that: Rebecca was going to have to walk over there to keep the pressure on.

"Come on," the big woman whispered as she reached over to grasp Angel by the chin to pull the Latina up straight before she pushed her into the corner "Wanna go for another ride? You looked like you enjoyed the first." She taunted the struggling challenger, spinning her around to face the ring in preparation for another round of the human javelin toss event.

Angel tended to quip whenever fielding questions within press junkets that despite her name's implications, she's never needed wings in order to fly~...unfortunately, Rebecca's tenure as world champion was spent proving that exact same fact for anyone whose made the questionable decision to come between her and those ten pounds of gold. A warbled vision of the "AFW" logo imprinted on the middle turnbuckle was about all she could discern through her scrunched grimace, the searing back pain and airborne disorientation inhibiting a more coordinated ascension as Angel snatched her hand onto the top rope with a scratch skid of her cowgirl boot against the canvas. Only finding her feet in time to be ushered against the corner turnbuckle by the smack talking champion eager to break her human javelin distance record. "Enjoy this..." Except when sunken against Rebecca whose back was to the ropes, Angel would clamp her hands onto the back of Beck's head and collapse to her backside in an attempted sit out jawbreaker.

"Huh?" The champ let out as Angel desperately grabbed her by the head, the Latina was a woman of many talents but if she expected to push the Amazon around by shoving her head then... okay she wasn't trying that. Rebecca's chin bounced off the top of the challenger's skull as Angel's deadweight pulled it down quickly enough to give the jawbreaker some oomph "Dammit-" The bigger woman grunted, staggering back to the centre of the ring as she clutched her jaw dreading the next dental appointment she was going to need after this match. First the superkick now this? She knew she was getting a bit of a mouth as champ but was that really justification to go to these lengths to shut her up? Well the title was probably a bigger factor there, less trash talk was just an added extra for the silver haired fighter.

Angel's memory may have been a little fuzzy but she certainly didn't remember Rebecca being so verbose back in her day, especially when it came to belittling adversaries she'd gotten the upperhand on. It appeared that having Adrian by her side all these years was finally starting to have its braggadocios aftereffects on her. And while potentially stymieing any future trash talk from the Enforcer was an obvious benefit to rocking Beck's jaw, snuffing any chance at being chucked like a Mexican sandbag was the boon she appreciated most. "...Nngh...Mierda..." Angel seethed with a hand on her head, still seated with her legs splayed out as the giantess started backpedaling towards the middle of the ring. The Latina opening one eye to the vexing sight of Rebecca still upright and a huffed admission that taking Tomko down wasn't going to be the cakewalk she envisioned. Angel intending to settle for literally taking her down for now if possible as she huddled up to a crouched sprint with an attempted shoulder tackle to Beck's right leg.

With her jaw hurting and Adrian furiously trying to set up a dentists appointment from the dedicated Bullet Club containment zone, Angel had the perfect chance to pounce and the Latina took it with gusto: all the silver haired fighter's weight and momentum being driven into the back of the Amazon's knee with a low shoulder tackle "Argh!" The big woman yelled out as her knee hit the canvas harshly with Angel still attached, thankfully for the champ her other foot was able to brace the impact leaving her doubled over on one knee instead of flat on the canvas like the returning challenger would have likely preferred but her situation wasn't much better. Forcing herself to stay somewhat vertical had come at the cost of a lot of pain in her hamstring and while the collision couldn't have been fun for Angel either, Rebecca was in no shape to capitalize until her tendons stopped screaming for a moment.

Angel understood that targeting a musclebound giants legs may have been deemed an overplayed strategy bordering on cliché at this point. Except she unfortunately lacked the convenience of choices in the matter since Rebecca's mountainous strength and height advantage were the reason she was in such dire straits in the first place. Hacking away at Tomko's tree trunk thighs was absolutely a necessary first step in starting a tangible comeback, and thankfully for Angel her aptitude as a capable woodsman had taken the hobbled Enforcer down to one knee. The Lovely Latina than shuffling to the side and arising in a huffed breath of relief, circling around to face Rebecca with a satisfied smirk. "Wanna know what's one of the little things I missed about wrestling? It's showin' everyone what a real champion looks like and rubbin it right in their face, chica~..." A sultry tone accompanying Angel embracing the back of Beck's head and mushing her facials betwixt her swelled cleavage. A sunken smother with a shimmy to Angel's shoulders and festive wiggle to her backside to a raucous pop from the fandom with cameramen focusing their lens on all the right places.

With one dead leg and her height advantage nullified having taken over 100lbs straight to a now aching hamstring there wasn't much Rebecca could do right now except scowl up at the smug Angel who was certainly looking pleased with herself for dropping the bigger woman down to one knee as the trash talk between the two continued. She braced herself for what she thought was going to be some form of overhead kick but instead got a very different experience that broke past her guard "Wha-? Mmmph!!" the Amazon let out as her face was forced into a position that the world would envy and one woman in particular would be jealous about all the way back in the Bullet Club Seclusion Zone.

Adrian Kytes was fuming as she watched the big screen in silence. She hadn't minded Angel's shock return in the title picture as having another friend was a potential extra way to keep the Bullet Club on top but any warm feelings she had towards the Latina were fading fast. And if Adrian was fuming the smothered woman in the middle of the ring was in a worse state. Nobody humiliated the amazon like this. No-one humiliated the world champ like this, nobody who wasn't going to the hospital within the next hour anyway... and Rebecca had been in such a good mood when Angel showed up in the first place...

Considering Rebecca's gigantic height advantage over the Latina meant that golden opportunities like these were in all likelihood going to be a rarity, Angel capitalized as only a defiantly precocious AFW veteran would in this situation. Although she hoped there'd be no hard feelings between her and Adrian, who was assuredly glued to the television screen in irate indignation if she knew her old friend, since back in their day sultry shenanigans like these were practically about as commonplace as a side-headlock. Not to mention that in Angel's eyes Rebecca had sorta been asking to be taken down a peg or two, and the audience in attendance as well seemed to appreciate seeing the mighty champion humbled and swathed against the best rack in the business. "Hope you're not having to much fun in there, chica~...I bet Adrian's already blown a gasket, although who knows? Maybe out of jealousy..." Angel remarked with a winking smirk as she tightened the grasp around the back of Tomko's head and further swelled her perfect breasts against her facials. She knew full well that while their was a chance this smother had a chance of soothing the savage beast, but in all likelihood Becks was probably set to blow like Krakatoa any minute now. Therefore, speaking of headlocks, one would be fastened around Rebecca's cranium before being taken for a leaping ride as Angel attempted her Cielo de Ángel running bulldog.
