Ayesha's First Practical - feat. Astrea and Quetzl

Today she had decided that no more lollygagging, no more goofing around. She was (relatively sure) she was done working out on the gym equipments. Now was the time, with the help of Anne and the others she had taken time with, to finally do a proper sparring match! At least that's what she hoped this would turn out as and not what Angela did the first time.

Where the hell did she go? France?

Aw, forget it. She'll be gobsmacked one day when she returns from Wherever to see Ayesha having risen from her initial fumble dumble days. Now she was... somewhat more competent. Somewhat. Nevertheless, Ayesha had already slid into the gym ring, and was leaning on the ropes, looking around and scouting for someone to see if she could go ahead and give a try with.

Hopefully someone not too strong.

Today was Astrea's first game. She was going to fight against a person whose name she did not know but she loved meeting new people, especially in the ring.
She was getting ready in the locker room in front of her partner, Quetzalcoatl. Obviously, she had come to encourage him even if she knew that Astrea didn't often need her, she was technical enough, strong and fast enough to fight on her own, especially since she was a former boxer.

Astrea:

It was now time for Astrea to come back on stage, her partner took the opportunity to join the bleachers as spectators. She walked to the ring raising her hands and greeting a brand new audience, hoping to make a good impression. Then when she entered the ring, she passed her opponent who was a woman who looked nice, her opponent not seeming to be mean. She then approached the center of the ring and held out her hand to greet her opponent with a small smile.

"Hi! I'm Astrea, let's have a good match !"

Ayesha turned around in surprise at Astrea's sudden appearance, almost jumping. Was she someone who wanted to spar with her? Seeing her stick her hand out and giving her greetings, Ayesha's mind blanked out for a few moments.

That was fast.

Her brain returning to reality, she realized yes, this was real. The stranger, Astrea as she called herself, was indeed ready to spar with her already. She hadn't even really scouted properly and it seems God himself was ready to give her what she wanted very early. A cosmic nod?

Ayesha turned to face Astrea, who was dressed in such regal looking wear, she could've sworn it was some kind of evening dress or party gown and wondered why she would fight in that. Then again, so had Angela fought in very nice clothing......

Trying not to let her surprise overtake her, she took a deep breathe of (attempted) stability, and looking Astrea right in the eye (it helped she was eye level as her height), she said,

"...." her mouth opened in a smile, but no words actually came out. Her mouth moved like she was talking but words seemed to have muted themselves. She suddenly coughed, and then her voice seemed to come.

"Hello! I am Ayesha. Please don't ki- lets have a great matc- I mean, yes! Yes. Yes. Uh, yes. Yesyesyes." Her words fumbled over one another, her confidence already eroding, feeling like an idiot.

She still managed to shake Astrea's hand, hoping she wasn't a heel with an ambush ready.

Astrea looked at her opponent and raised an eyebrow seeing her opponent having such a hard time showing up. But Astrea was a woman who had a good heart deep down, she wasn't there to belittle her opponents, at least, if they weren't mean.

"Hey! Don't put pressure on yourself, the most important thing is to have fun putting everything you have!"

Astrea smiled amicably at her opponent trying to reassure her, she hopes at least to achieve that. Following her words, Astrea took a few steps back, waiting for the bell to ring to start the match.
As soon as the referee knocks on the bell to start the match, it will throw itself on its adversary by proposing a test of force to her.

On hearing Astrea's statement, Ayesha tried to recall the last time she had "fun" getting the snot kicked out of her by Angela, or Lily stretching her legs out open like a really painful board. Actually she did have fun (kind of?) with those tango lessons....

Pushing the ideas of spinning and falling like a wooden board aside, Ayesha replied, "Y-y-yeah! I-I'll try!" then mumbled, "I...I really do have to try..."

As the bell rang (she couldn't see where the bell was in this gym), Ayesha stared at Astrea going with the strength lockup first. Knowing that isn't her strength, Ayesha's eyes looked around the ring for something to try.

She decided to take one step towards Astrea, preparing herself....then started skipping sideways. Was it a confusion tactic? Maybe, because she herself was confused as to if this would help at all. But she slowly skipped around Astrea, a notable distance out of reach of her, rather close to the ropes area.
