How the hell did Juniper Nashville get here?

Sure, she was still dealing with the fight with Natsumi, but this is straight up the whole real deal! Her manager Mitchell managed to get Juniper hooked up for the annual Cyber Saturday and the rest paved it's way as a road for Miss Penance to walk on.

Cyber Saturday are already serious business. They have Aliana Sanders and Julia Rogers there. People that Juniper and even her girlfriend Clover and manager knew they were legends.

Mitchell did manage to find a wrestler who was willing to go beyond the ropes with Juniper, but he warned her that her challenger was someone with lots of experience.

The wrestler he namedropped was Eliza Harenwood. An experienced wrestler from the AFW Tension branch in Kyoto. He did warn Penance that she was going to eventually kick her ass and make her lose, but Juniper was a sucker for punishment. Plus, she can send a message to Eliza that she may be a rookie, but she had lots of guts to take on someone like her, who has been in dozens of matches.

For a little extra confidence out on the ring, Clover gave her a kiss to raise morale.

The match starts with the typical introductions, however Miss Penance wanted to do things that set the tone for the synthwave retro 80's gimmick that has been set up for Cyber Saturday.

When her introduction began, something appeared on the stage that literally drove onto it in view. A retro DeLorean car that Mitchell managed to rent from a car show. A fog machine appeared to the atmosphere, covering the floor of the stage in a fine mist. The lights went out, where the spotlight illuminated on the passenger door of the car.

Then, the theme song started for Miss Penance.

Exiting the car was a woman wearing a large neon pink trench coat that completely concealed her appearance. However, it was obvious for who this mystery woman was, seeing how she was carrying a large customized sledgehammer that she pulled out of the car.

When the beat of the song dropped, the figure immediately tossed aside her trench coat and revealed herself with large lettering on the screen above to be...!

MISS PENANCE

Juniper Nashville "Miss Penance":

She got the crowds hyped now. She looked confident. She was going to get her ass beat, but whatever. She was going to show Eliza that she meant business.

Miss Penance strolled down the ramp, waving at the audience that she passed by. Rather than toy with pyrotechnics, Miss Penance switched to laser lights that gave off a pink color that also fit with the synthwave aesthetic. Miss Penance hopped onto the edge of the ring, going over the ropes with her hammer. Getting onto one of the posts, she kept her balance, as she held her hammer up in the air, getting the crowds more hyped for Cyber Saturday.

Now, it was the familiar game as before. Miss Penance put her hammer down, the top part of it touching the ring floor, while Penance had both of hands at the bottom end, facing away from the stage and ramp.

She was ready for Eliza.

Eliza sat in her locker room, stretching her right leg and lifting it upwards over her head there as she completed the last of her pre match warmup routines. It had been an odd sort of feeling in her as she contemplated her current situation, had Eliza been in a PPV before actually? The dancing passion didn't recall much of that truth be told, not that it detracted from her grandeur of course but Eliza mused on the thought at least.

Spoiler:

She was to battle a relative newcomer called Miss Penance from Friction, Eliza couldn't say that she had heard of this person considering Tokyo wasn't her stomping grounds so to speak. Still this wouldn't dissuade the British aristocrat for she always gave her best in a bout regardless, now that the last of her warmups were completed Eliza would saunter over to the dress on the hanger.

Her regally elegant ballroom gown, trimmed down a bit to allow for more easier flowing dance moves there. The dress and her corset was going with black and small bits of red, a clear sign of a flamenco style for her this evening. A stage hand knocked on the door to tell Eliza it was time to make her way to the ring........The lights in the arena would dim to a pitch black there, then the opening tune of Pena Flamenca would blare from the speakers as a white spotlight shone on the curtains there to reveal the shadow of a woman.......who then danced with a pair of feathered fans as the curtain parted ways on the 0:16 mark to reveal the dancing passion!

Dressed in her flamenco ballgown, complete with red feathered fans and masquerade mask it was none other than the dancing passion. Gracing Cyber Saturday with her elegance as only Eliza could. The British lady would saunter and sway and dance down the ramp, baring a calm smile on her face as the crowd went absolutely ecstatic at seeing one of Tension's classiest ladies in attendance. After reaching the apron the ref would open the ropes for the dancing passion and allow Eliza into the ring. Whereupon she'd gracefully bow to her opponent before in one fluid motion would flawlessly step out of her dress and rest her fans under the bottom turnbuckle. Showing her dancer leotard and stockings as her ring attire.

"Greetings Miss Penance, let us have a fine bout." Eliza said with a smile as she settled into her classic ballet dancer pose, arms tucked inwardly and legs primed on the balls of her feet to prepare for tonight's bout!

Someone has a certain theme..

"Never saw someone so elegant." Miss Penance lifted up her sledgehammer. Sure, it can damage Eliza, but a girl gotta play fair. She tossed it over the side of the ring, getting her body stretched out, while getting into a fighting stance. "You walked a long way from Kyoto, but I figured I make your trip worth your while."

Miss Penance slipped on her googles, before giving a smirk to Harenwood. "Even if you're going to end up leaving here after your face has ended up on the mat, I'll make this a fun one for you." A tweener like Miss Penance couldn't resist a little taunt towards Eliza.

Well Eliza was always known for her grand entrances and having the crowd eating out the palm of her hands, the dancing passion gave a polite nod to Miss Penance. Now that her elegant entrance had been performed Eliza tended to be a bit more subdued in her mannerisms and responses, the dancing passion was never one for trash talking even in matches where her foes may or may not warrant it. It was this air of class combined with sportsmanship that was one of the many things that drew folks to the tension and friction arena wherever she appeared!

After all the actions in the bout would be doing most of the speaking from then on, still Eliza prepared herself for the match there as she effortlessly lifted up her right leg and stretching it upwards and simply said "Perhaps, perhaps not. I expect this to be a good match regardless." then she slipped her leg back down and entered into her stance. A sort of ballet stance, arms tucked inwardly under her navel and her legs lightly bounced up on her arches as she prepared......

The bell would soon ring shortly thereafter, the dancing passion would then gracefully step forward and bust out into an elegant series of spins there. In order to try and confuse her opponent with a series of rotations before suddenly Eliza would burst out into a jumping spinning left leg kick aimed right at Penance's upper body!

Miss Penance studied her rival, getting herself prepared in a battle stance, as her rival was looking more like a ballet dancer ready for a performance.

In truth, this WAS going to be a performance.

Penance only knew that Eliza Harenwood wasn't a push-over. She was in Tension, fighting with bigger fish and big men. Ok, maybe not that big men, but since she was in Tension, she got to fight male opponents.

The bell would ring, where Juniper got herself ready. Penance didn't understand why Eliza was suddenly going all ballet on her, until she realized as Eliza was approaching her was that she was trying to get Penance's guard down.

While Miss Penance kept her guard up, she didn't expect the ballet dancer to immediately go for a jumping spin kick. Sure enough, Penance already got herself hit. The force of the kick was already enough to send her into the ropes, but upon the rebound, Penance kept herself standing, making sure to not stumble.

Juniper could only let out a heavy deep breath, looking at Eliza like she tried to stab her.

"Dancing lessons are over."

Another taunt. However, Penance sounded more serious than before the bell.

She knew Eliza was going to play it straight and rough.

Eliza was known for her explosive rushes right out the gate against her opponents and even in a bout like this it was no different, it was one constant that the dancing passion was known for and the crowd expressed their admiration of her in this opening exchange. Penance was caught well enough there in the strike, had it been closer to the head she'd have likely been tasting the canvas there for sure.

The Harenwood's strikes could floor even the brawniest of men and bring them to their knees, Penance showed some good toughness there and used the ropes to her seeming advantage there. The dancing passion had noticed this as she had moved to recover with a backwards roll.

"Hmmmm......not bad." Eliza calmly muttered as she got back into her stance there, she paid no heed to her opponent's remark there and bounced about on her feet there. Before making to rush forward a bit and made to go for a right side kick to her opponent's midriff, only for it to be a feint halfway and would turn into a forward push kick attempt!

Miss Penance was definitely dealing with a pro here. She was still a rookie, but she gotta give the crowds and kids what they want.

Eliza was getting back into her stance. Penance immediately got herself ready, maintaining a defensive stance again. She was trying to study how Eliza operates. She had a gimmick, pattern, or even a routine. Eliza went forward again. This time, Penance can see that she was going for another kick.

Penance jerked her body to the left, trying to avoid the spinning kick that Eliza was doing until...

Eliza pulled a feint on her!

Penance ended up getting hit with another kick, ending up getting rebounded against the ropes again, with her left side towards the audience.

Penance was trying to counter it. She couldn't see if Eliza was going to jump back, but Penance wanted to get a hit on her.

Using her right arm, she attempted to give Eliza a back elbow, trying to use her arm to hit a target, anywhere if possible.

If there was one thing Eliza was known for in her matches it was her kicks, had she got it her way in a bout they'd be on the marquee. And boy oh boy Miss Penance was gonna know the pain of being kicked by the dancing passion, the men and women of Tension couldn't really be considered a member of the brand till they stepped in the ring with her in the mind of many a fan. The crowd hollered as Penance took another leg there, but it seemed the pinkette could roll with the strikes as much as her petite frame belied the fact.

Eliza didn't expect the rebound there but managed to get her arms up just in time but still momentum was a neutral mistress, which resulted in the British aristocrat being sent staggering backwards there from the elbow. Eliza let out a rather audible hiss, well she learned that Penance was a tough lady to take some of these strikes.

Deciding to try and return the favour Eliza would assess that Penance was likely within range for a more aggressive, yet higher risk attack. Eliza would seek to run at Miss Penance, then run past her and attempt to use the ropes herself there herself and try to deliver a leaping dropkick after bouncing her feet right off the middle rope!

Penance smirked.

She heard the hiss that erupted from Eliza's lips, now she can tell that she meant business.

Penance's arms were hurting, but she can tell that Eliza was going to pull something on her. Penance immediately tried to get herself to counter what she had in store.

She watched Eliza start running towards Miss Penance. Ok, she's going to try to kick me again! I gotta duck! Penance could've done a clothesline, but her arms felt weak. Anticipating another kick, Penance immediately did a roll to dodge whatever Eliza had planned.

When Penance immediately straightened her body up to stand, she turned around only for Eliza to go directly towards the ropes. It took Penance 2 seconds of confusion to realize that Eliza was actually going to jump from the ropes. By the time that Penance realized this, Eliza had actually bounced off of the middle rope. She went flying towards Juniper, her leg aimed directly at Penance.

"Shi-!"

The impact struck Penance, sending her staggering backwards and crashing against the ropes on the opposite end, her body in a sitting position with her back and the back of her head leaning against the ropes.
