Old Friends, Old Rivals (Chigusa Vs. Mai)

Chigusa shook her head. "n-noo... you're not making me give up!" Chigusa said, her voice weak now from the pain. All her energy felt like it was getting sapped out. Chigusa raised her free leg, gathered all her energy, and kicked out at Mai. That hopefully would get her fellow idol to break the submission.

Mai's eyes widened as Chigusa so defiantly resisted the submission. She couldn't believe it! How could Chigusa stand so much punishment! She was in such disbelief that when the kick hit her, she yelped and rolled away and clutched her leg. "H-How..." She asked in disbelief as she laid on the ground panting and wincing.

Chigusa rolled onto her side, gritting her teeth and clenching her hands into fists due to the pain. "I don't give up Mai," Chigusa said, "Besides, this is nothing! I've been through worse..." She slowly began pushing herself up onto her hands and knees, visibly favoring her damaged leg.

"Yuuki-san..." Mai said in a soft tone, a smile came across her face as she got to her hands and knees as well. "Then I won't give up either!" She said with determination. "If Ican't make you submit, there's still two more ways to win!" She reached out to grab Chigusals ankle and pull her close.

Chigusa let out a gasp when Mai grabbed her ankle, her wounded ankle, to pull her in close. She knew she was weaker than Mai, and more tired now. But she couldn't just let her old rival get the best of her like this! As Mai pulled in, Chigusa threw out her unwounded leg in a desperate kick, hoping to catch Mai somewhere painful.

Mai was so concerned about pulling Chigusa in that the foot slammed across her face. She grunted and leg go of Chigusa and held her face. She tried to roll away and recover, the desperate kick more dazing than damaging. She wanted to get to her feet, knowing she could probably do better than Chigusa on her weary two legs than chigusa's one decent leg.

Chigusa wasn't about to let Mai just get on her feet. With her one good leg, she quickly kicked in between Mai's legs and tangled them up, making it difficult for Mai to make any movements. Chigusa would also try to crawl over to Mai, trying to force her to engage on the mat in a grappling contest, the only chance she had.

As Mai tried to get away, she felt herself get tripped up but Chigusa's legs. She let out an 'oof' as she fell back to the mat and turned onto her butt and saw Chigusa approaching. She furrowed her brow in determination. She couldn't loose twice in a row to Chigusa! She waited patiently until she thought Chigusa was close enough and then shot her leg out, hoping to slam her boot into Chigusa's head.

Chigusa was too close to avoid Mai's desperate kick. "Guh!" she grunted when the boot slammed into her forehead and snapper her head back. She nearly fell over backwards, but was barely able to catch herself, sliding away backwards. She shook her head, stunned by the force of the blow, feeling a bruise coming on in the center of her head.

Mai sat panting as her boot connected and tried to turn her body. She just wanted to end the fight and hioped she had drained Chigusa's strength enough. She reached out to grab Chigusa's legs and try and catch her and roll her up into a surprise Matchbook pin.
