Vivienne Bouclier vs Senji Takijima - Entwined

Match Rules: Win via submission

In the back Vivienne was preparing herself in a locker room, in both body and mind for her debut match! She had been shown in Tension prior quite some time ago when her master Charlotte Harenwood faced Claudia Kwon in a match, since then the maid had been off the radar. What occurred in the down time? Well the maid wouldn't say. She was sworn to secrecy unless those involved wished her to divulge it, regardless it seemed the Tension higher ups decided to request the dutiful defender for a match at least. With no further duties to attend to Vivienne would accept the offer, she got herself ready for the match by.........

Cleaning the locker room.

Vivienne was wiping the sweat off her brow, there it was spick and span! The floor swept and tided and the lockers polished to a mirror sheen. The maid was dressed in her usual dress, with modifications to be revealed when her match was to begin. She'd not heard of her opponent for tonight save for his name, regardless Vivienne was confident in her ability to handle the odd riffraff that tried to oppose her in battle. Alas Charlotte was not present to encourage the maid, but no matter for Vivienne would perform at her utmost all the same. If anything the match rules befitted her given her grappling game.

Spoiler:

"Ms Vivienne? Your match is about to begin!" a stage hand shouted to the maid, Vivienne would gently place her cleaning equipment in the corner and wordlessly slid out the door as she made her way to the ring........

The lights in the arena would black out, there would be the sound of a ticking clock. Then a bell chime, then another. The opening of Vivienne's theme song Cendrillon would blare from the speakers, when the lyrics hit proper the dutiful defender would appear kneeling at the entrance seemingly in prayer as the dramatic music played to herald her arrival. 

She'd rise and then slowly curtsey to the audience to a loud applause before striding down the entrance ramp and clambering the steps, Vivienne wiped her boots on the apron before sliding under the bottom rope and make her way to a corner where she's stand with her hands in front of her basket style as she waited for her opponent to arrive!

The 3rd Major Round.

Senji entered second this time, walking along the still-new ground of the AFW arena. He ran a hand along his neck as he walk, functioning as a calming gesture for himself. Answering to the alternative theme of SiM's making now, he noted the harder feel of it compared to the first theme. Especially as it blasted out of his entrance's trademarked speakers. Those golden eyes of his now drawn to his opponent's green orbs. He ripped his gaze away, climbing into the ring as per usual. Though notably, he let out an irritated his growl as his left arm shot to the side of his ribs. He ran a hand along it whilst walking, feeling the self-applied single layer of bandages underneath that coat of his. That was going to be very tender for just a while. The sight of the application was over his abs and extended around his lower back in a circle.

However, this likely wouldn't be visible to Vivienne considering it was covered by his outfit. Takijima raised his focus back on her, pursing his lips. He raised an eyebrow at the....dress, however. What in the h-ah, whatever. She looked like a maid, and he assumed that was the focus? Senji dropped his face back to the neutral gaze it held before. Next, his hands moved through the air as he clapped his hands together. He bowed his head to her, bringing his body to face the ground as well. Then, he returned to looking slightly down at her.

Senji decided to approach, moving to the center of ring in a short timespan. Now that he was closer, he continued eyeing Vivienne from head to toe. Well. She wasn't bad looking, not at all. But, he wasn't oogling her, just trying to gauge her capabilities. The looks were simply icing on a cake he had enough self-control not to consume. Plus, doing anything approaching vulgarity would be dishonorable. He was there to compete, not humiliate. This regular matchup was a nice change from the previous type he participated in. He looked happier about it too. If the match were about to begin, then his muscles would notably tense up for a fight. However, his ears would still be open just in case she wanted to talk to him face-to-face. He wasn't a machine. The redhead did not go against such things as small talk.

Vivienne tried not to stand out here too much despite her delightful looks, after all it was the duty of a maid to be there but not to take the spotlight. Nevertheless she made steps towards getting herself prepared for tonight's bout, the maid would step out of her boots revealing her stocking clad legs in all their glory. It would be quite apparent that Vivienne had indeed a rather delicious pair of thighs that helped her in her maidly duties, after carefully placing her boots under the bottom turnbuckle Vivienne would then undo a clasp on the side of her dress. Letting her remove the majority of it from below the heart shaped mini apron of hers, her gloves and shoulder pad soon followed. 

The maid despite trying not to stand out as Senji made his way to the ring, yet she'd gain several catcalls and whistles from those in the front row. Vivienne made sure to keep focused on her work yet her cheeks did red up there. Yet the dutiful defender remained steadfast! For she had a battle to focus on, once she was ready Vivienne would turn to face her opponent for this evening. 

Not too tall, had the clear body frame of a martial artist. The French maid's keen eye for detail told her that much at least, style wasn't apparent though. Regardless Vivienne was more than confident in her ability to handle whatever riff raff came her way, she would curtsey to her opponent and say "Greetings monsieur, you face Vivienne Bouclier. Please give me your utmost for I too shall do so!"

Vivienne would then slink down into a wrestler stance, tensing her fingers and getting prepared for this match. The maid hoped lady Charlotte was watching her here, so that she could display her martial prowess here tonight as she waited for the bell to ring and commenced the start of the bout!

Gulp. Senji simply observed it with a singular wad of fluid going down the throat and into the depths of his organs. Was she going to be one those? Maybe fate had a grudge against him and was taking it's frustrations out indirectly. No matter, she was addressing him! Guess he could play along with her game. With a suppressed elation, he spoke.

"That I will, dear. You'll be going against Senji Takijima."

Those eyes of his followed her down, Senji slowly lowering himself as the bell finally struck to let the fight begin! Takijima squinted at Vivienne, awaiting her to make the first move. Because of his bad habit, he tended to start off slow and pick up in frequency as the match went on or his opponent increased their own speed in terms of accelerating the fight. In the meantime, Senji began methodically shifting to the left.

Such a movement was the start of a circular motion around the Defender in order to keep himself mobile instead of being rooted in one spot. Though, he made no move to attack. Yet the heat in Senji's cheeks served as a minor disturbance to him despite his trained focus honed over several years of somewhat arbitrary preparation.

Vivienne might not have had outwardly shown her might in fights, heck when she first showed up she ran afoul of Claudia Kwon. Regardless that merely spurred the maid to double down on her craft for when she inevitably made her opening debut in the ring proper, Vivienne could barely contain her excitement. Yet she resolved to try and remain composed as best she could as the match began against her opponent, revealed to be Shinji. Polite enough greeting from him the maid reasoned, regardless it was go time here.

Ms Bouclier was known as the Dutiful Defender mainly for her personality and fighting style, preferring to be a wall that let her opponents simply break themselves upon. Yet following her earlier mistakes Vivienne was more....proactive one could say, the Frenchwoman would size up Shinji as they began. *Hmmmm.....probing around to see if there's a flaw in my guard, yes that settles it. I'll try and take the offence to him.* Vivienne inwardly contemplated, the maid figured as much. 

Still her opponent looked like he could carry himself well, that just meant the maid would need to be. Vivienne settled into  a classic wrestler stance as she matched Shinji's movements, before then attempting to shuffle low and towards him in an attempt to tackle him straight to the mat with a classic single leg diving takedown. It was time for the maid to greet the guest properly!

One the first note, he went by his first name usually, only using the last name if the other one already knew his full name or they introduces themselves in full.

Before he knew it, he was the on receiving end on a favored move of his. So, that's what his back felt like smashing against the light colored ground of the ring. Granted, it'd been a while since it happened like this. Senji went to try and catch himself by sending a hand backwards, breaking his fall slightly. His left hand went up to Vivienne's shoulder in order to at least keep her from fully mounting him. If this defense was successful then he went on to the next step.

His legs were spurred to action, bringing them up to her waist and locking his ankles near her back to promote a Closed Guard. As for predictions, Senji wasn't very sure at first glance. ["She may try to...pass my guard. Her options are more limited here, I think."] In the meantime, he went to keep his right hand on her shoulder in a minor try to keep her a very small distance away. The left hand had went to the corresponding side of his face to be a defense against any ground n' pound endeavors.

Vivienne wasn't known for being particular aggressive in fights, in fact one could easily say the opposite of that. However that wasn't to say that the maid was totally passive in battles, many a time she'd disable an opponent with a hard joint lock or a flip move that would make them taste the ground hard. Many a piece of riff raff in Paris could attest to that when they tried to approach lady Charlotte only to end up getting smacked down hard by the maid. 

Still Shinji might have gotten put on his back there in the literal sense as Vivienne scored the takedown, yet as she dived in close to get him staying on the ground it became instantly apparent to the maid that her opponent knew what he was doing. Vivienne had rolled on the mat with her fair share of ground grapplers thankfully, she felt his legs get around her slender waist there. The maid didn't hesitate however, she was already in the proverbial snake den as it were so not much point in feeling concerned in regards to it.

He was good with his hands there too, although no doubt Vivienne would beat him in a cleaning contest it also indicated that Shinji was proficient at multi tasking. Vivienne however was also quite adept at this too and started to rock the boat so to say as she shook herself from side to side in his leg gripped embrace while making to get her arms moving while trying to pepper the lad's chin with some quick jabs. Vivienne might have been quite adept in the grapple game, but she could also be decent at making them catch these hands!

Vivienne's rocking looked to be enough to loosen his lock enough for her to get free. Given that, Senji made a choice to focus on defending since that looked to be the most pressing matter. He drew his left backward, putting the two forearms up near his face to prevent the majority of her punches from connecting. Make no mistake, the Defender could probably see that he clearly felt the blows. In light of these punches, it was obvious he should probably transition.


Senji reached up with both his arms, albeit a bit slowed by the incoming hits, going to hug Vivienne's upper body to his chest in order to prevent her from punching with as much force. The action could be considered tender if they weren't trying to make the other one submit. Well, not that Senji WAS unnecessarily rough even when fighting. He huffed out an exhale if his attempt succeeded, putting the sole of his left shoe onto the floor and pushing off the ground there. In that worked, then he'd have reversed their positions with Vivienne ending up on the bottom position. Senji, hopefully, would've ended up with his legs notched on each side of her stomach - a Full Mount. At the worst case, he might even end up entrapped within Vivi's own guard.

Regardless, Senji performed around 4 attempted elbow strikes, skin over bone soaring at her form, to her face in order to keep her busy or gain some extra progress. Other than that, Senji looked to be waiting for her to give him an unintentional opening as some conservative fighters often did. The succeeding actions after these events depended on what Vivienne did...whether his slowed down approach would yield a negative or positive outcome. No matter how good a person was, they were able to victimized by dumb luck or various other factors.

Vivienne would find herself struggling the grapple here, Senji surely seemed to know his way around the mat just as well as she did. Vivienne performing offence right out the gate wasn't usually her thing, which might have led to some sloppy execution on behalf of the maid. 

Which allowed her male opponent to get the better position and leverage against Vivienne here as before long the proverbial boat would get rocked around enough for them to end up switching positions! The maid grunted quietly as she found herself being taken for a ride here with them ending up in a classical full mount posture! Senji might have wasted no time in taking his elbow strikes right to Vivienne, however he'd shortly be shown why Vivienne had her moniker of the dutiful defender here. She promptly got her head covered up by her arms to make the strikes bounce against her limbs, the blows would make her wince from the contact on her arms. Yet to protect her head area the maid considered it a vital tradeoff here. 

Already she got herself closed up and made a tough trap to dismantle here, she wasn't sure of her escape plan yet. Although one thing was for certain that trying to deliver further strikes against the maid would likely be a futile endeavour at this stage of the match if her ironclad defence was anything to go by, she was more than happy to slow down and turtle up in this exchange here at least!

True, that was. He stuck to two styles, and they served him well. He needed something more simplistic to adopt for stand-up fighting, and boxing treated him great. Senji reared his fist back for a punch, but noticed that he hadn't broken open her guard. This made him pause, and settle for something different. He kept a hand up near his face; after that he put his right hand on the side of his stomach in their little stand off.

There. This might work.

Senji scooted further down her body, landing on her lower stomach as a result. Then he gave her two punches to her core to worry about, mainly meaning to annoy her rather than cause a lot of damage. If these hit her, then he went for the main move he wanted to try after scooting back up to his previous position. Senji lowered himself over Vivienne and tried to wrap his left arm around her own left arm and yank at it. With his brute strength, he desired to pull her arm away and straighten it out. Then, he finally moved to swing the right leg over Bouclier's face but not having the time to drape his left leg over her chest, going to lean back in order to attempt a quick Armbar!
