Blue Imugi Vs. Jasper Rhys - Blue Shift II

On one hand, Jasper was quite proud of himself for dodging that kick and immediately going on the offense afterwards to try and push Imugi back, force her on the defensive!... Well, too bad for him, as his kick missed about as spectacularly as Imugi's kick had missed him. "Bugger." Jasper thought to himself as he took a few steps back from the Korean fighter, bouncing between his feet whilst keeping an eye on Imugi, something that paid off as he watched the Korean girl's leg sweep in a seeming attempt to trip him.

Yeah...?

Yeah. Well no, Jasper wasn't in the mood for being tripped over and falling comically yet again for the girl's rabid fans to laugh and jeer at once again, No instead Jasper actually skipped backwards and mostly avoided the Idol's sweep. "Close, but no Cigar!" He quipped, internally improvising a new plan before immediately putting it into motion for now was the time to strike as quickly and somewhat foolhardily the Welsh-boy rushed the Korean Bluenette, soon forcing another clinch with one arm wrapped around Imugi's neck, rapidly delivering a series of increasingly hard punches into the girl's abs before finishing off his offensive flurry a proper hard knee-strike into the now hopefully softened target.

Imugi fully expected to be able to hit Jasper from this range. He was quick but she didn't know how quick just yet. Not until he bounced away from her inches away from slicing him across the heels. The blue-haired idol clicked her tongue and flipped herself off her back into a low crouch. Her cool eyes regarded him as he bounced at the center of the ring.

She could confirm that his lean physique wasn’t entirely for show. Jasper could move like an acrobat. Good for him. The hard part was understanding how much of this was an act, how much was real, and how much she should honestly care. So far, she wasn’t that impressed. He needed more than speed and confidence to make her sweat. So if Jasper wanted to challenge her, she could play along. For a bit.

"Then I'll just get closer." Imugi lunged from the floor and into a swift run straight at the Welsh fighter. Jasper seemed to have the same plan in mind as he moved in after her. She threw her hands out to seize his fingers when he came in for the lock-up, except Jasper didn't lock hands with her. His grip found the Korean's shoulder and Imugi tensed for what she knew was coming.

Slippery guy. Imugi grunted from two solid blows to her toned abdomen, but frankly, he couldn't have chosen a worse target. Bemused, she looked back up at him and threw a coy smirk. “That's all you-?"

A swift knee to the gut stole the rest of the oxygen she needed to tell him off. Imugi's hands came up and clapped her palms across the ears, going for a concussive double ear slap. She was hoping that would give her the space she needed to back away and reassess.

Well two things really, On one hand Jasper finally scored a good hit on the Korean bluenette that actually seemed to both faze and do damage to the cunning Idol, However the immediate aftermath of this success wasn't so pleasant for Jasper as Imugi's hands smacked his ears in a discombobulating blow that once again left the Welsh boy feeling as though his brain was rattling about in his head like pebbles inside a tin can. "-HECK!" he exclaimed! The sudden strike disorientating the lad greatly and quickly forcing Jasper to take a step back from his foe with a feeling of confusion coming over him.

Stepping back from the clinch with Imugi, the slightly dizzy Jasper would finally stop when he was leaning back against the ropes to try and recover a bit from the sudden concussion. Yeah, Jasper really didn't expect that sudden double slap to his ears, nor did he expect it to hurt his head so much.

Taking a deep breath from his position on the ropes, Jasper let out a determined sigh and shook his head, battered and slightly concussed, but unwilling to back down from the challenge Imugi presented him as the little Welsh pretty-boy took a step forward and breathed in deeply once again to steel his nerves. "Alright Imugi... That was good, But I'll do you one better." he remarked silently to himself as he stepped forward, with his arms raised up defensively ready for either a grapple or a slug-out with the Korean idol, his resolve to win unwavering...

Even if he really didn't have any real ideas on what to do next.

Taking that knee honestly wasn't that bad. Compared to Army's boxing, Jasper couldn't have knocked the wind out of a fly. Although, he could clearly make up for some of that in speed. It wasn’t anything more than a reaction when she clapped his ears and forced him to back off. Something that she’d picked up in her underground fights. The Welsh boy was making his stance as a solid competitor, but he was missing something fundamental. Instinctual.

Imugi took a step back after she got him to back off. She raised a hand and ran her fingertips over the etched ridges of her abdomen. Stung to the touch. The Korean only gave him her full attention when she heard him call out to her. Her tired-looking eyes raised from the floor and acquired her target. Imugi didn’t rush to address him. She kept a hand at her hip and breathed one moment of uneasy stillness into the air between them.

The Korean surged forward the instant she saw Jasper raise his hands. She cleared the width of the ring in the blink of an eye in the time he took him to move a single step forward. She moved low to the floor and leaped up once she was close enough, raising her leg to chest level before she thrust it deep towards Jasper’s gut with a jumping kick.

Keeping his eyes on the Korean, the little Welsh bluenette would take a deep breath as he awaited his opponent to make a move... Unfortunately for young Jasper, Well, it seemed Imugi had no patience for him and his somewhat novice-like approach to the match as immediately, she rushed him.

... Watching the Korean rush him was quite possibly one of the most terrifying things he'd ever seen in his rather brief career with the AFW, Imugi moved like a missile coursing through the air, she was upon him faster than he could possibly react to and thus subsequently capitalized upon it with a jumping kick that sent both the girl's feet into his stomach! "-ACH!" ... Yeah, She definitely hits like a missile too, the kick was a properly devastating blow that left Jasper rag-dolling back against the ropes, his lungs emptied instantaneously as spittle flew from his shocked open mouth and into the air, an agonizing pain pulsing through his body from the kick that forced him to practically reboot his brain whilst he stumbled back, stopping and only just about barely staying on his feet as he gripped the top ropes to both regain some semblance of stability whilst taking deep breaths to refill his lungs, all of this leaving the little Welsh git nice and vulnerable for the Korean water dragon to tear into.

Eye for an eye? Not really. She just wanted to hit him where he was vulnerable. Jasper was thinking offense, so the key to getting him off balance was breaking that rhythm. It worked with men twice her size, she was willing to bet it would hurt the Welsh boy just as hard.

The clap of her double kick resounded with the roar of the crowd heard all around. Imugi kicked away from him at the point of impact and threw herself into a backflip before she came down gracefully on both feet. Her eyes rose in time to catch Jasper reeling on the ropes. Disoriented and exposed. Two very bad things to make obvious in front of Seoul’s Ghost.

Like a phantom, she faded from sight and flashed quickly to Jasper’s side. At the end of her sprint, she gripped the top rope and leaped sideways, seemingly going over the edge of the ring. As Imugi passed, however, her legs swung just behind and would catch the center of the blue pilot’s face as she flew. Throwing her weight into her feet, the Korean girl aimed to kick him square in the face over the top rope and into an unceremonious tumble towards the floor. If her path went unobstructed, she would keep her grip and land on a comfortable perch on the ring’s edge just in time to catch the sight of her opponent hitting the ground below.

Well, That's not quite the "Good Showing" Jasper had intended for himself really, No. this match really wasn't going too well for him if we're being honest, lying against the ropes and panting for breath with pain coursing through his body from the powerful strikes he'd received with little in the way of respite being granted to him by his veteran opponent all the while hearing her sycophantic fans cheer her on as she kicked him around, Yeah no this really wasn't a good day for young Jasper Rhys. However, his aforementioned opponent decided however that she wasn't done thrashing him about just yet... No she seemed to have more for him, and what with his vision somewhat hazy and disorientated, overall still reeling from the kick, the smaller boy was practically helpless.

With little to no warning other than the subsequent cheer of the Korean's utterly fanatical fans, Jasper would suddenly catch a glimpse of a leg coming at his face at breakneck speed... Oh Bother, Just about a split second later Jasper's face would become acquainted with Imugi's foot in an unceremonious manner, And... for a few seconds the boy would stumble about before finally tumbling into the mat with a painful and undignified thud against the ground face-first, several droplets of blood pooling around his face as he laid splayed out for the perched Imugi to see.

"STAND UP!" Came a few scattered chants of the lad's outnumbered following, a minor attempt at raising morale.

No movement... For a good few seconds, it appeared that Tension's little tomcat had been unceremoniously knocked out, the match seemingly over until suddenly, after what felt like a long pause Jasper began to move, It was subtle at first with a twitch of his fingers before shortly enough his hands soon balled up into fists that quickly shot out to the side and gripped the middle rope with Jasper pulling himself back up to his feet slowly, clumsily but surely until finally. Jasper was on his feet again with blood trickling down his nose, all the while humming that same tune he hummed before the start of the match, arms raised up defensively as the Welsh boy flashed a cheeky grin on his face, battered, weary but undeterred.

Was he smiling at her?

That was what it looked like. Imugi had to be honest that she did not expect to see those pearly whites to meet her when Jasper finally raised his head. Deep down that shouldn’t have surprised her. She was learning at a rapid pace that people from Wales were clearly insane.

The Korean girl curled a brow at him. Jasper was not her usual opponent. He was hurt, on the back end, and still somehow found the energy to sing. A singer knew a humble tune when she heard it. She had literally no explanation for it all, of course, or why at that moment she felt like smiling at him. Imugi could only chuckle before she offered a friendly piece of advice. “You’re off-key.”

Imugi leapt from the ring and went to wrap her lithe legs around the shorter boy's head. If she locked him in, the momentum would carry the both of them into a fluid motion as the Korean girl twisted toward the floor and dragged Jasper along for the ride. She would release him as her palms met the floor, thrusting her hips at the end of her hurricanrana to throw him back-first toward the barricade.

"Summon all at Cambria's call... The mighty force surrounding, Men Of Harlech on to Glory,  This will ever be your story..." Jasper sang to himself quietly, Just enough so that over the roar of the crowd, that both he and Imugi could hear the words he sung, All the while maintaining that cheeky grin on his face as his cadence got just this little bit louder... 

The Korean smiled back at him from her perch then, even offering him a polite piece of advice to him about singing 'Off key' or something or other. Something that Jasper obliged to by attempting to sing more 'In-Key' as his opponent seemed to indicate... All the while Jasper kept his eyes on Imugi, Awaiting her next move. 

"Keep These burning words before ye..." He sang, pausing at the end of the Lyric as Imugi made her move. 

"There we go..." He whispered to himself as the Dragon of Seoul leapt up to attack the Welsh Spitfire, But rather than feel his head caught between her muscular legs, Imugi would once again be given the slip by Jasper as he ducked below her, hurrying opposite to her and leaning his back against the apron of the ring as the Korean crashed painfully against the steel barricades.

"Welshmen Will Not Yield!" He sang proudly, Finishing the lyric as he watched Imugi fall, immediately following up by delivering as fast yet harsh kick against the back of the girl's head, still smiling cheekily with that bloody nose of his.

Right, trying to catch someone by surprise when they were looking right at you. Call it a gamble and one that just didn’t work out all that well for her. Her legs slipped right past Jasper, leaving nothing but a fresh breeze against her thighs to comfort her descent to the floor.

Comforting, for sure.

Imgui relaxed and slapped her hands to the floor a moment before the rest of her came crashing down. Her quick thinking dampened the shock, but it didn’t stop her from getting the wind knocked out of her on the rebound and rolling very un-cooly into the steel barricade. The Korean Girl groaned but was only down for a second. Through the mess of fuzz and warped sounds, a sliver of the Welsh rallying cry broke through to her ears. Probably didn't mean anything good. She placed a hand on the barrier and went to stand up.

Jasper, the go-getter that he was, wouldn't let her just do that, of course. Hence why she yelped when a (rather enthusiastic) kick snuck her on the back of her head. Imugi fell back to the ground and wouldn't be getting up all that quickly. She rolled onto her back and cradled her head in her hands, giving the floor a frustrated stomp.
