An Honourable Spar (For Valicon)

Charlotte was fine resetting the situation to the neutral, mostly because of the spar's terms of engagement. Had Charlotte fully extended that armbar the duel seeker could have very easily concluded the battle then and there, however her sense of honour and acknowledgement made sure to keep it on the level. If anything this showed great character from Ms Harenwood there. She drove forward intent on pressing her standup game, the bread and butter of the duel seeker's offence. However Rebecca was intent on using her impressive frame and the wrestling grappling game to good use. She'd managed to grab hold of Charlotte and heft her right upwards into a mighty torture rack!

The duel seeker's eyes widened as she was hefted so bodily, a reminder of the sort of power her opponents could have in story for Charlotte in this division that she chose to participate in. Followed shortly by the pain jolting through the duel seeker's spine, she inhaled sharply from the shock through her system. Yet Charlotte wasn't deterred, this was certainly an odd placement for her compared to her previous experience. However the eternal tryhard decided to try and risk an escape attempt by using her nearest hand to try and smack her balled fist into Rebecca's jaw over and over. 

Was it pretty? No, but right now Charlotte wasn't focusing more on finesse right now and was merely doing an attempt at trying to weather the storm gladly!

For Rebecca nothing very few things were as important as her skills in the ring. In her mind "the Guillotine" was the ultimate expression of that skill, a move honed to perfection over a decade of near constant practice and refinement. In thst time, never had she managed to lose once the hold was locked in. She knew exactly how to apply the most pain in it, when to relax and when to pull diwn hard. The duel seeker was getting that full experience now, even as she swung hands at Her jaw, painful moves themselves, she held in just a little longer. If Charlotte was still stubborn Rebecca would let her go, showing the same "courtesy" that Charlotte had show her

Charlotte was no stranger to enduring through painful holds, trying to get out of armbars and triangle chokes. But a hold like this wasn't seen in an MMA ring as far as the duel seeker was aware of, perhaps it was due to the focus on the body pain rather than seeking a swift end via a rear naked choke or it was due to similar weight classes. The duel seeker wasn't able to fully contemplate this however as she was trying to grit her teeth through the pain shooting through her spine, still the Harenwood was a tryhard with a lot of grit. 

She had a free hand and was gonna make sure Rebecca practised her way of iron jaw, still this pain was something else. Had this been an actual match and it was dragged on long enough Charlotte felt that surely she'd have tapped out, but the scrappy desire to prove herself drove the duel seeker onwards. 

Eventually it seemed that Rebecca got the memo of the unsung agreement and released Charlotte, the French girl fell to the mat with a thud. Charlotte sharply exhaled as the ring mat did little to cushion her drop. Charlotte would pant quiet  while giving a thumbs up enough to signal she was still semi coherent at least. Before long the duel seeker would seek to get herself back up into a more vertical stance, before trying to lunge to the side as a feint before diving in for a single leg takedown attempt to see if she could get Rebecca down to the mat!

She could take Rebecca down to the mat, but not without cost. Rebecca had a strong mat game, and being taken down posed no fear to her. So as her leg was taken out from under her, Rebecca kept her head and would attempt to grab Charlotte by the waist. If that worked and they were both on the mat, Rebecca would go for a rear naked choke, a move she was certain that the Duel Seeker would be familiar with. "Lets see how you handle something that we both know."

Charlotte was more than happy to head to the ground if need be, she rolled with more than enough jiu jitsu students to say that she was comfortable in doing various transitions and denying them too. The duel seeker was a little surprised that Rebecca was happy to roll on the mat too, likely drawing from her time in submission practise as she made to grab Charlotte by the waist and get some control in there. 

Case in point it seemed that the redhead had the right idea as she used her upper body strength to try and cinch in a rear naked choke! Charlotte's eyes widened in response, but Rebecca was correct that Charlotte had done this many a time. Hence why she didn't panic here and didn't flounder like a fish out of water, in fact the Harenwood's discipline shone through here. 

First off, Charlotte stayed calm. She made sure to fight that seat buckle forming, the French lady scrapped back hard here. Throwing in a quick elbow to the ribs behind her first to jostle the redhead and then rocking the boat like crazy, getting her legs ahead of Rebecca's as best she could. Rebecca might have been way bigger, but Charlotte was scrappier and nimble. Like butter Charlotte would prove to be quiet slippery and before long the duel seeker would make to scramble right out from the redhead and try to slip around and get out of this position into a form of hopeful side control or at least force a scramble out of Rebecca!

It was an epic struggle as Rebecca fought to keep hold of the slippery and wily duel seeker. She tried to used her strength to push her arms into the "locked" position, while letting her tough body take the punishment of the struggling Charlotte. In the end though, Charlotte's experience and determination won out and she broke away from Rebecca's grip.

Things were not over though as she now turned around to get some control over the crimson warrior. Now it was Rebecca's turn to be under someone else's control, or at least that was the attempt. After releasing Charlotte Rebecca rolled away to gain space before much else could be done. This left both French women again facing each other from across the ring, Rebecca with a big grin on her face. "Honestly, this is the most fun I've had in a long while. I can see you are going to go far here." She said as she made her way back to her feet, ready to clash one last time.

Charlotte felt it in her bones, she'd have to wrap up this spar soon but damn if she wasn't enjoying herself. It was validating the duel seeker's belief in herself that she had what it took, that she could take on folks that were bigger than her and handle herself now that she wasn't constrained by her MMA weight division nonsense. Charlotte ever the eternal tryhard was going to take it to the limit, Ms Harenwood smirked at Rebecca's words and thumbed her nose in response and said "Thanks, your not too bad yourself Rebecca. I can tell you know exactly what your doing~"

The duel seeker decided to bet it all on one last move, she'd throw caution to the wind and bet it all. Charlotte usually had gone for measured moves, her MMA background prompting her to not gas out past the second round. But here Charlotte had decided one thing and that was to give Rebecca one last display of what she could do. And for this she was gonna try and take a page out of her Cousin, the dancing passion Eliza Harenwood's playbook! 

Ms Harenwood would suddenly bolt towards Rebecca and go into a few cartwheels to build her momentum and make herself a harder target to predict with her constant shuffling. before bursting out into a dropkick aimed square at the redhead's chest in an attempt to knock the redhead off her boots or stagger her if the blow could connect as Charlotte sought to show that she too could perform the techniques of her Cousin!

The quickness of the girl and the erratic movements made it impossible for Rebecca to tell what kind of attack was coming. So instead of tried to dodge or counter, she settled on to tank whatever kind if hit that came at her. When it finally hit she was rocked by the power of the dropkick, forced to stumble backnto the corner. But she managed to stay on her feet and endure the hit.

Now it was her turn for her final attack. As Charlotte would get bsck to to feet, she would run up to her and grab her arms by the elbows and use that to lift her up as high as she would go before dropping her flat onto her face in her other finisher the "Tour de Force" after that she would attempt a pin giving the count herself
One!

Charlotte had banked it all on this, Eliza her cousin was known for being able to knock out men twice her size and height with intricate strikes such as that. Charlotte had heard tales of it and sought to add shades of it into her arsenal, while the duel seeker might not be as flexible or nimble as Eliza she still reasoned she could implement similar blows. 

As it was a spar however Charlotte avoided going for the head like the other Harenwood did, such was the way that it could easily result in a knockout. Regardless Charlotte had hoped that Rebecca would be floored enough to result in a conclusion to this event, alas the redhead had tougher endurance that the duel seeker had believed as she was able to endure the blow despite being blasted back from the force. Following this Charlotte made to try and scramble back up, only to be caught by Rebecca as she made to move back up and the redhead used her impressive upper body strength to slam Charlotte down to the mat hard in a way that only could be described as sheer impact trauma. Charlotte felt her vision blur from the slam, vaguely hearing Rebecca count. 

Did they even agree on a pin? The duel seeker couldn't recall, both because of the length of the bout and also because well, she'd just taste the canvas in a way that her jaw couldn't take fully. Still the spar rules were in Charlotte's mind, she felt that if she dug down deep enough Charlotte could force a pin break. However to honour her MMA background Charlotte decided it best to just rest and lay down, even if the eternal tryhard nature that she had made it a little difficult to swallow.

As she reached two Rebecca suddenly realized they never set an actual win condition on this spar. That was a bit of an oversight but she was happy with her performance even without actually putting something in the W column. So she released Charlotte and sat down next to her. "Sorry, I've been doing this for over 15 years now if you count high school. My body dies things like this automatically, you should see what happen when the oven timer goes off at home." She let out a little laugh. "We never agreed on what constitutes a win in this battle, so I am fine calling it a draw for now, unless you want to keep going?" Shevwas pretty certain that Charlotte was tired and sore, and she herself was feeling the effects. Of course their little spar had gathered a small crowd and she had not even noticed, including her husband who hung around in the back waiting on her. "I'd love to face you in a real match, wrestling, boxing, whatever you want. Maybe we could do lunch sometime to talk about it, I know a great little French Cafe a few blocks away from here"
