Standard match: Vigdis Kirkeby vs Rareta St. Helen

For the second time, Rareta found herself in the Friction Arena. Although she had signed on for Tention, apparently her contract allowed for any Friction appearances as well. So she was back and she was now a little bit more confident this time, at least confident enough to go out when her song started playing but not enough to actually interact with the audience, not yet at least.

Entering the ring, she bounced up and down to work out her nervous energy and to get the limbs limbered up for the match to come. She had been informed that her opponent was big, so needed to be extra quick if she was to stand any chance at all (though she was used to being the shortest girl in the room).

It did look like a good day… A good day to fight that is. The wait was a little longer than expected, but it was worth it in the end. Vigdis thought about it when the information about her first official was given to her, like it was some divine intervention, enough to send her into an excitement rush the day before. The Oni had been training since forever for this and would finally pay off, would she squash some ants or would she be the one backed into a corner overpowered by the opponent’s abilities? After all this was the professional’s cycle, so she could find anyone here and it could all lead to a glorious battle!

The next day, in the locker rooms, upon entering, she looked around amazed and a bit anxious, feeling like a dream was coming true. However she couldn’t help it but be embarrassed, looking down upon everyone that could be currently there as she looked around for a space to prepare herself. She couldn’t help it as she was used to having weird looks towards her wherever she was. But maybe here it could be different… Perhaps even use that against them… After all, it is possible that some people could fear her due to giant-like body. That could be a cool gimmick maybe.

She put both her Kimono and Hakama(Kimono pants) on, before tying it all with a Rope Belt and finally ending with Geta (Wooden Sandals). Ironically due to a conversation she had some time ago, Kana decided to buy a new accessory which could help. The outfit would be completed when she had her Kanebo, but since it was a Standard match, she couldn’t bring it…

After finishing, she moved out to the corredor and made her way through it, while also putting an Oni mask on, the new accessory she talked about.

Approaching the Ramp, she stopped, waiting for her opponent to finish entering, all the while doing some stretches. And then a silence fell over the arena, a signal that it was her time to enter… And thus through the silence, the sounds of heavy steps could be heard, before her theme started booming through the speakers.

And in the midst of the effects and the light show, she revealed herself in a dramatic Kabuki actor pose, and she could’ve been seen embarrassed and blushing if it wasn't for the mask. Short after, the Danish Giant resumed her walk down the ramp towards the ring. The audience had a slight shock over the fact she was much taller than most of the people that previously walked through there, but that didn’t last long before eventually continuing the cheering.

Upon arriving at the ring and walking up the stairs, she almost effortlessly jumped over the ropes and walked to the center of the ring, where she removed the mask, finally showing her face to the public and roaring like she was a dragon or something, before facing down her next opponent. “So… Are you the one I’m facing tonight?”

"Oh...ummm..yes, that's right. I...ummm.." Beyond her regular nerves and shyness, Rareta was feeling more than a little intimidated by the other fighter who stood almost two full feet above her and from the feel of it, was well outside her weight class. She had to lean back just to get a good look at her opponent and what she saw made her want to run and hide.

"I...ummmm. well...ummmm... I hope you get what you want out of this match " she said meekly, lookingbto the grown to avoid having to look at the giant who was probably going to squash her anyway. She backed up and settled into a pose that could either be a fighting stance or her getting ready to run. Could be either.

Looking at her new opponent didn’t surprised that she would’ve ended up being bigger than them, but didn’t expect such a huge difference between the both. It was quite disappointing for her, like if she was stabbed in the chest with a plastic knife, shocking but in the end was more annoying than anything. Quite frustrating… Kana almost had to take a deep breath and hold herself back to not show it on her face. The giant did her best to keep a serious look on her face, only while taking a more detailed look upon the small pink hair.

Vigdis did remember giving a glance at her opponent’s information, mostly her appearance and nothing else, but this was more ridiculous, again… But it was too late to go back and now she had to fight this ant-sized wrestler. Maybe if they had met in other circumstances, she didn’t have to feel bad to beat her up and maybe even become friends with her, but not sure if could really be that friendly with the disappointment and mockery leaving a stain in her fighting spirit. Seeing her shaking and gasping for words, was making her feel even more bad for doing this, but this was a ring, a place to fight and that was her objective, to win.

However there was still a chance. A chance that maybe she might be just a bit shocked by a huge difference in heights or is just normally shy and nervous, but was still a fighting machine inside that body of hers. Or at least that’s what Kana hoped for. A worthy opponent to smack and be smacked by.

She sighed, looking at Rareta after she finished talking. “I want to win… And have a good match. The question is… will that happen?” Her figure towering over Rareta’s as her words come out.

Vig couldn’t help but to smile at her Rareta, not with an evil-ish one, but rather a sympathetic one. “But looking at you… probably I might have at least a good match.” Trying to boost her opponent’s confidence might be a bad idea, but she seemed to really need it and might surprise her for the best.

The Oni walked to her side, before turning around, now facing Rareta and shoot her right leg to side, elevating it to around the height of her chest then violently slamming it on the floor with a large Thud and putting her closed fist on the floor, almost like a third leg, her pose being extremely lowered, maybe even close to the height of her opponent, waiting to hear the bell ring before being let loose.

Rareta had been intimidated by the size of her opponent, and she still was. But after their brief exchange she seemed at least like someone who was nice. She wished she could have met her before this, maybe then she would not be so nervous...but maybe then she would have been more nervous instead.

Seeing Vigdis go to her corner and assume her stance Rareta did the same, trying one last time to calm her nerves before the bell rang. When it did ring and Vigdis let herself loose, Rareta would take to the sky, running up the corner post with effortless grace and trying to flip over the giant and end up behind her before giving a kick to the back of her knee.

The moment was drawing closer. The moment where she would have her chance to fight, as have been excitedly waiting since she joined. Kana has been waiting for the faithful sound of the bell, and the wait was quite long but it was worth the wait. An opportunity to pummel the opponent in front of them, entering an epic clash with her rival. And even so the opponent wasn’t what she expected, it was better than anything.

Then… The bell rang, the sound that the Danish Giant had been waiting for so long, it was like the drums of war, the indication that the match had officially started. Without wasting a single second, Vigdis dashed full on ahead without thinking twice. A woman of her size dashing full speed at someone who she could tower over must be quite scary, not that she could tell based on experience, but that’s what others told her when playing sports with them. But considering these were different conditions, it was probable that they were used to it and so it is possible that this was just a reckless move on her part.

And reckless indeed it was, as she watched her opponent, with the help of the corner, jump over her almost gracefully. Even though Rareta was already on an elevated platform, Kana couldn’t help but find that impressive jump quite. However, it didn't last that long, before feeling a force on the back of her knee, forcing to bend and driving her to kneel on the floor.

The strike didn’t hurt that much, but hitting in that spot would of course cause it to bend forwards. It may be an efficient way to bring her down to the floor, but not to stop her. Taking a more serious mood, before turning around quickly, swinging her arm around violently towards her opponent trying to hit her face.

Rareta as part of her upbringing as an Heiress to a multi-billion dollar resort had been train in many things both artistic and physical. But where she had excelled had been gymnastics. She had always seen to glide and fly gracefully and effortlessly, it was in fact what had proven to Rebecca that she might be worth taking on as a student. So flipping over the giant, when she had the ring post as a springboard was the easy part. Even landing a kick was not top hard.

The hard part came after. When she was flush with her little success and silently thinking maybe she might have a chance, that giant arm came out of her peripheral vision and knocked her sprawling to the mat...5 feet away. She tried to recover, to get the stars out of her eyes as she lay there, stunned by that one single hit.

Due to a few years of training, Vidgis has bettered her body in a way that would prepare it for her style of combat, mainly focusing on her physical endurance such as stamina and her overall strength. Kana trained to be a tank, so to speak. Her way of approaching was to take her opponent’s hits head on and then deliver back with her own devastating hits. The giant couldn’t possibly take every single hit thrown at her, especially from others whose strength rivaled her own, which brought her down a lot of times, but that didn’t stop her from trying to take some of them head on.

Kana had gone a long way to build this strength and if she was to be brought down, the egyptian woman would have to try harder than that, as she didn’t train to take her Rival’s attacks for nothing. Also after seeing her flying above her, doding her charge like it was nothing, filled her with determination to get her back, immediately throwing her arm out at her. The momentum made her torso also turn with her arm, only to feel her arm hitting what she supposed was Rareta and then simply see her body fly away a considerable distance.

Vigdis sighed, looking at her that had just been flung into the other side of the ring and now was almost knocked out by a single hit. The giant couldn’t help but feel bad, after all this didn’t seem that well, if this was everything there was to it. Maybe they were just getting started and needed some more time to prepare or the girl was simply off-guard. Getting up, she rose her fist high into the sky, showing off the arm she used to hit her opponent and her strength, while waiting for her opponent to get up.

Rareta was not a tough girl, never had been. Whether emotionally weak or physically weak, she had been both for most of her life, preferring to run away from problems rather than deal with them. It was only in the past year when she had started training that she begun to change. The problem is here, one year of change was not going to overcome the raw power that her opponent seemed to possess. She would need to get creative. And even as she rose to her feet to continue the fight, she was not sure if she could get creative enough.

Her strength was overwhelming, maybe a bit too much in this case. Her opponent seemingly got sent flying with such an attack, then she couldn’t imagine if she were going seriously. Hopefully it wouldn’t injure to such lengths, but this means Vigdis almost felt the need to hold back in order to severely injure her opponent, at least no further than needed to be to win…

This was one of the multiple things that set them apart. While one had overwhelming strength and high endurance, the other one was more agile and acrobatic. The giant could only wish to as fast and do those flips mid-air. Kana was fast, or that was what it seemed, mostly due to being very tall and thus covered more ground with each step she took unlike smaller people, but if it was someone around her size, her speed was rather mediocre at best… And she could jump high, but no way could she do those “Flippy-thingies” while in mid-flight.

However it didn't matter much, or she didn’t care, since she started to run to them there was no way to stop her and maybe it sucks that she couldn’t do much in the air, but her preference was on the ground regardless. Those are more so things that she would've liked to be good at, but not that is necessary for her. At least that she is aware…

Looking back to check on Rareta, Kana couldn’t help but grin slightly as the match could continue. She was only making time for her opponent to get up and resume, but next time, she better be prepared, because Vigdis wouldn’t hold back against a downed enemy anymore. Without skipping a beat, she charged at her again, her menacing figure growing larger as she got closer. Meanwhile Vigdis pulled back her arm, before thrusting it forwards in an attempt to crash her elbow into Rareta’s face.
