Standard Match: Akane Saito vs Rebecca Owens

Rebecca was both annoyed and impressed by the fortitude shown by Akane. Still she had a match to win and Akane constantly kicking out was not making that easy. If she kicked out once more Rebecca promised herself she would break out the big guns. For now though she would get to her own feet and then pick up Akane flipping her over and slamming that abused back over her knee.

Had she done it? Had she made the count? Akane hadn't been sure if all that mustered strength had gone to waste or not. She was having trouble keeping focused, blinking her eyes unevenly as her head swayed slightly from one side to the other. There was no bell. That was the clearest indication until Rebecca shoved off of her and started to rise. The pink-haired girl let out a low groan, leaning her weight to one side to flop over onto her chest. Her boots scuffled against the canvas and gingers curled over the surface as she weakly clawed at the mats, dragging herself away, trying to crawl for some sort of an escape. She needed time to rally, to clear her head.

It only took Rebecca a few strides to catch up to her and those strong hands clamped down on her from behind, dragging her back up to her feet. Akane leaned her weight towards the redhead, throwing a wild and sloppy elbow up at her abdomen. In response, she was hoisted up into the air and with a flip of her body was brought back down across the other woman's knee. She let out a scream, a short burst of agony as her already tortured spine was slammed across an unforgiving knee. She lay bent over the other woman's leg until gravity made her ooze of it, collapsing back to the mat.

Even Rebecca thought this was starting to get a little bit cruel. As a warrior by nature she wanted a fair fight and this was a not a fight but a beatdown. That scream just sealed it for the crimson warrior, she needed to end this now, if her next pin didn't work she would move on to something she was certain would...at least it had not failed her yet in 10 years of wrestling.

After slamming Akane'e back over her knee she would go for one more Power move. Once again lifting her and her Pinkette opponent to their feet, the Red head would Hoist the girl all the way up into a very familiar position, that of someone looking to give her opponent a Powerbomb. And that was indeed her plan to deliver a sit down powerbomb then go directly into the pin.

"Ugh...hgh…" Akane made only the soft sounds of protest as Rebecca grabbed hold of her again to continue her unrelenting dominance of the match. The pink haired rookie's hands reached up, grasping weakly at the redhead's wrists, trying to pry her hands away. Her attempts were feeble in this current state though there was little assurance that even at one hundred percent she could have really unlatched someone as strong as Rebecca.

Pulled to her feet, she was roughly bent down, yanked forward in between Rebecca's toned thighs. She leaned her weight in, shoulders resting against the redhead's legs as she huffed, panting exhaustedly. Those strong arms locked around her midsection again and she felt them ripping her up off the mat, flipped up onto the redhead's shoulders. She slumped forward, her chest resting across the top of Rebecca's head. There was a small effort made, drawing back a hand to try and punch the bigger woman but before she even had it reared back, Akane was brought to the mat in another thunderous slam, folded in half with her perky rear jutted in the air.

"One!"

"Two!"

With her last ounce of energy, Akane threw up her hand. The crowd was shocked that she not only hadn't been defeated but after being tossed around like a ragdoll for the entire match why she wouldn't just give up. She couldn't give up, not while there was still fight left in jer. She didn't want to go back to the girl that always lost once again. She had tasted victory and wanted it so bad...

Rebecca knew eventually that if she just kept at it, that eventually she would be pinned. But even with all the damage she had taken she still had managed 3 kickouts. So Rebecca then decided to break out her finisher, A move that she had been using since she first started wrestling in high school. She called it the Guillotine, a nod to her country's dark history. It was just a simple Torture Rack hold,, but perfect suited to one of her abilities and named since when she locked it in, it felt like she was taking you head clean off with pain.

So getting off Akane, and once again bringing them both to their feet Rebecca would attempt to lift her up, draping her body across her shoulder before locking in the hold, bending her back across her own strong backing in an attempt to end this quickly before too much damage was done to the other girl.

The Guillotine :

Akane's shoulders plopped back to the mat again as her head lulled to one side to let out a heated exhale. She was having trouble keeping her my drifting, heavy lids drifting down, threatening her vision with creeping darkness before she startled herself conscious again. As Rebecca scooted back and away to rise, the rookie's legs flopped back down to the canvas leaving her splayed out. Her chest heaved with heavy breathing as she greedily took in thick ragged gasps of air while she could.

"N-no." When Rebecca leaned down over her again, all the rookie could do was protest with a soft whine as she was dragged off the mat. Brought mostly to her feet, it was nothing but the redhead's raw power that allowed her to stand at this point, something that was out on full display when the petite rookie was effortlessly hoisted up to be laid across Rebecca's shoulders. There was no real fight left in Akane, no power to resist a hand hooking under her chin and another gripping her thigh. The moment Rebecca committed herself to pouring on the hold, the rookie's body was pulled taut, leaving her to weakly kick her free leg and blindly grasp at the air with her hands. The pain on her already battered body was so sharp and immediate, she had practically been too stunned to even react. When her faculties returned to her, she brought a hand meekly to Rebecca's forearm, repeatedly tapping it to signal she was submitting. She couldn't take any more.

As soon as she felt the tapping and heard the bell Rebecca hurriedly put down Akane, being as gentle as possible to avoid hurting her anymore. The glow of her debut victory was visible in her face as her hand was raised in triumph, she had hopefully given everyone here notice that a new power had arrived in AFW and her name was Rebecca.

After the ref lowered her hand, she went over to Akane, smiling gently down and offered her a hand up, if she took it (or even if she didn't, she wanted to show good intentions to someone who had done her no wrong so she raised the Pinkette's hand, a mark of respect for a fellow warrior.

Despite it feeling like an eternity due to her slow and hazy brain and body wracked with aches, Rebecca had done the gracious thing and promptly eased her hold the moment surrender had been made clear. It was understandable that at the moment she may have not exactly been in the mood to appreciate the gesture now, in hindsight the rookie would almost certainly have been appreciative of the small kindness after being thrown around the ring for however many minutes she had managed to last. This match had been a rather vicious reminder that despite her win against Origa, she had a long way to go before facing down against any of the brand's more serious competitors.

Eased onto the mat she fell still, closing her eyes as the crowd celebrated along with Rebecca for her dominating show of power. Akane instead chose to take this moment to rest. Uncomfortable as the less than soft ring was, it was a good deal better than being bent in half or twisted into knots. feeling a slight vibration through the ring from someone's approach, the pink hair girl opened one eye, peeking up at the redhead making her way over. When the hand was offered, Akane flinched, expecting that she might be getting a post-match beatdown of some sort… but no. It was an offer to help her up instead. What a relief!

Weakly she reached up, arm swaying from even just that tiny effort, and took hold of Rebecca's hand. With a mousy little sound of surprise as she pulled up off the mat, and stood back up with her hand raised high. She was unsteady on her feet, arm raised high, forced to lean up against Rebecca to keep her footing. It was an unnecessary thing to do, especially after her terrible performance but it seemed as though the crowd didn't see it that way, cheering for both women. They may have seen her lose in a one-sided beat down but she had shown great heart in the face of the odds and that seemed worthy of applause and cheer.

"Thanks…" Akane murmured softly and genuinely. The cheers helped soothe the sting of defeat quite a bit and reminded her why she was here in the first place.

"You are very welcome, it may not have been the outcome you wanted, but you showed great potential and heart to last as long as you did. You should be proud of that if nothing else." She would lower Akane's arm after a minute but kept hold of that hand as she started to move towards the ramp. She wanted to help this girl back at least, one last show of good sportsmanship and morals before she called it a successful night. And to her it was a successful night, she had shown she was a force not to be messed with here, but that she had honor and dignity at least to those who showed her the same. So with (or without depending on her choice) akane Rebecca would leave the ring, proud of her first match.

Praise was something strangely new to Akane. Oh sure, plenty of people told her just how cute she was all the time. She can't refall her wrestling or spirit being commented on though. It was nice to hear it from someone else instead of herself attempting a pep talk in a mirror. Akne had tk avert her gaze, a light flattered blush on her cheeks. A small smile, however weakly, worked across her lips as she was lead carefully out of the ring and backstage. She was appreciative of the help, practically leaning on Rebecca the whole way with her own fumLing steps. Up until the gwo vanished from sight, they were being clapped and cheered for the display of civility.
