Hunter and Prey: Felix Vulpini (D) vs Tam Tenderpaw (D)

Tammy eased herself down off her tail, gracefully setting her boots down to the canvas as Felix took his trip to the outside. She couldn't help but laugh, not really at him, but out of sheer enjoyment of just how well this was going. She clapped a hand on her shoulder, flexing her right arm as she cranked it back as if winding it up, showboating for the crowd.

"Don't run away, we still have a fight to finish!" She remarked with a grin as if her opponent had chosen to get thrown out of the ring again. Tammy backed away from the ropes, slow at first then turned abruptly to break into a run. To the far side of the ring, she threw her back into the ropes then came rocketing back at full speed. When she neared the edge of the ring the Scurio girl vaulted up, front flipping herself into the air with impressive height, landing perfectly on the top rope. It stretched under her landing and when it snapped back with recoil, she sprang up off it high into the air, launching herself out of the ring.

One… two… three blindingly fast rotations in her flip even before she came down from her height, building enough momentum that she was a blue of colors by the time she came slamming down at Felix, whipping her tail out at the last moment to try and smash him into the ground with her tail with all the force she had built up.

Ugh. Back on the floor again. This was...certainly not the most respectable debut match that Felix could have hoped for, the fox groaning after his body went "smack" onto the padded wooden floor, the crowd getting a good chuckle out of his predicament.

While his eyes were closed as he caught his breath and assessed his situation, his ever alert ears caught the sound of...ropes stretching?

oh shit.

Eyes opening wide, Felix got a perfect view as his opponent sprang off the ropes, and doing an impressive series of flips. Rather than stick around for the end of what would no doubt be a very painful attack of some kind, Felix did the only thing the fox could think of at the moment and partly rolled-partly lunged his body to the side, brushing the ring apron fabric aside and fully hiding under the ring, leaving nothing but floormat for her tail attack to smash onto!

As Felix scurried beneath the ring, right behind him was the explosive sound almost like cannon fire as Tammy's tail impacted against the mats. The thin cushioned ringside mat spit around her tail, the insides of the material itself being blown out the sides along with the definite sounds of splitting wood where the tail had left a visible crater in the ground. The young Scurio girl hopped back from where she had landed, examining ground zero of where her tail bomb had left its target devastated, just double checking he wasn't buried in there someplace.

"Hey! You're supposed to be fighting me ya'know. You can't win by running away!" She gave a hard huff, casually cradling the bulk of her tail while she brushed some debris from her fur. She let it fall, swishing back behind her as Tam approached the apron, leaning down to throw the cover up to peer beneath it as if a monster looking for the scared child hiding beneath their bed. "Come on out so I can beat you up!"

Felix absolutely *could* run away, and that's exactly what he did, crawling at very fast speed and making it to the left side of the ring apron while the Scurio girl was checking where he should have been. By the time she started looking under the ring, the speedy fox was already peeking over the ring apron on the left side of the ring apron, quickly hopping onto the ring apron.

As fast as he could, he'd climb the turnbuckle, hoping the rising noise of the crowd didn't give him away. If Tam somehow hadn't caught him in the few seconds it took to get on top of the turnbuckle, he'd call out to her.

"Looking for me!?"

He'd yell, before leaping off of the top of the turnbuckle, trying to crash onto Tam with a flying cross body!

The apron covering flutter down across her back, the bulk of it slipping down along her tail begore gathering up along her lower back to leave her perky backside hoisted up in the air while she searched. Various items beneath the ring, some of obvious use like tools and foldable furnishings but other things seemed mostly to be discarded refuse long forgotten. Her nose crinkled up as she touched something with a greasy residue, franticly shaking out her hand to cast it aside. Where on Gaia could this little rascal have gone off to? It wasn't like the underside of the ring actually offered much in the way of hiding spaces. "Um, hello! You can't just hide all day… come out."

"Looking for me!?"

The Scurio girl's ears perked, straightening herself up in a sharp instant of surprise. He wasn't under the ring?! "Ow!" From beneath the ring with a dull thud as she bumped her head on the structure of the ring, bringing a bit of water to her eyes. With grit teeth she wiggled herself out from under the ring, tossing the apron cloth aside dramatically like a cloak. She winced at the pain in her head, glancing from side to side in confusion before a flash of something caught her eye.

Blinking she peered up just in time for Felix to come crashing down across her, knocking her to the splintered floor with a loud crash. Tam stared on in shock, letting out a soft wheeze as she lay pancaked beneath her opponent, clearly seeing stars after taking that surprise assault fully.

Oh wow, that actually worked!


Having expected to crash and burn on the wood floor, the fox-kin was left surprised as he actually had a somewhat comfy landing, the Scurios body and especially her bust, helping cushion his desperate dive.

Rather than follow up with an attack, the fox kit would push himself back to his feet, and roll back into the ring, not sure where the referee was in counting them out, but hoping it was enough to gain his first win!

Tam's eyes drifted about unsteadily in a way one might imagine she was viewing a display of dancing acorns swirling over her head. Her chest inflated slightly as Felix peeled himself off of her, leaving the Scurio lay out across the ringside area within the crater she had made with her tail not but a minute ago. The referee had moved to the ropes, gesturing energetically with a display of fingers with each successive count.

"One! ...Two! ...Three! ...Four!"

Tammy slowly blinked some measure of recognition back into her bright eyes. Her features still slightly slack and dopey as she looked up confused from where she lay. With a soft groan the scurio girl rolled herself over, brushing back a few larger bits of splintered flooring with the back of her hand. It was a small struggle to get herself up to her feet as she clung to the ring apron and used her tail to prop her body up. It seemed as though she could dish out punishment far better than she could take it.

"...Five! ...Six! ...Seven!"

With a hard shove of her tail against the floor, she hiked herself up onto the apron, tucking in her limbs to roll under the bottom rope to break the count. Stopping on her chest, she planted her toes and palms on the mat, starting to push herself up. Those eyes of hers locked on Felix, narrowed, with cheeks puffed up in flustered indignation over what had just happened. "Lucky shot… it won't happen again."

Aw crap...it didn't work.

Instead of getting an easy count out win, Felix was now dealing with a very unhappy Scurio with a powerful tail who was cross with him.

...Crap.

"Heh...um...Sorry about that...is your tail ok?"

He asked, keeping his arms up defensively, but trying to sound friendly, hoping to perhaps mitigate the powerful womans temper a bit, on the off chance it would save him a beating!

Of course, being a smart fox, he'd also keep his eye on the space between the top and middle ropes nearby, shuffling his feet to step a little bit closer, juuuuuust in case he needed to make a mad dash to escape an attack again...assuming she didn't just knock him flat over the ropes again, a throbbing on his muzzle still echoing slightly where she had hit him, and where no doubt, a bruise would form.

Rising to her feet, Tam hadn't so much as blinked just to make sure Felix didn't try anything funny. She pinched the lower lip of her top which was riding a bit higher than usual… Though it was hard to tell given just how revealing it normally sat. A little wiggle here, a small tug there and it was back in place. A light brushing of her skirts as well and she was set to go again. She made this abundantly clear to her opponent by slamming a clenched fist into her other palm, pushing it hard enough to audibly crack her knuckles.

Her eyes narrowed at his timid words, a faint blush on her cheeks as her tail swished behind her back to obscure itself. She gave him an incredulous look as if asking about her tail specifically were some sort of taboo. She seemed at a loss for words when faced with the fox's obsession with her fluffy bits, the scurio instead choose to rush forward in a sprint at him.

Felix's quick escape hadn't slipped past her notice as she kicked off the mat with a lunge, coming nearly half the ring in a single bound as she attempted to grab hold of him, trying to grapple him back into the ring if he had tried to duck out of it. She would drag him kicking and screaming away from the ropes if she had to. "Nuh-uh! No more running! Take your beating like a man!"

"...Oh crap..."

Tam's narrowed eyes and offended look hadn't escaped Felix's notice, his apparent faux pax doing nothing but further annoying the woman, and as she dashed for him, he had a feeling going for another escape would be a good idea.

Unfortunately, Tam proved faster than him and smart enough to know what he was planning, as her arms wrapped around his body, dragging him back from the ropes as he struggled in vain to get out of her powerful grip! "B-but I'm not man! I'm technically still a pup, that's the whole reason I'm here!"
