Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez
- Trinity:
It had been a while since Trinity had made her debut against Liberty at AFW. It was a rough match, but Trinity had managed to get to the end of the match as the winner. She had wanted to carry on and keep running, but personal issues back home had caused her to head back home. But now she was back and she wanted to make her way back into the scene with an big bang. Trinity wasn't a soft wrestler. She detested pampered wrestlers who refused to get their hands dirty. The only way she preferred to fight was when there were little rules and the only was out was to be knocked out cold. She had got in touch with the AFW management and below and behold they were very quick to set something up. All she was given was an address to go to.
Wearing her normal gym clothes, Trinity was perhaps a little more nervous than she should have been as she made her way towards the address. She didn't know who she had been booked against. She hoped that her opponent hadn't been briefed, but given the how evil the AFW was, it wouldn't surprise her if her opponent had been given the full brief over what was going on. She had finally reached her destination to only find herself there. Well that was to be expected. However she was somewhat surprised to find herself standing outside a large supermarket. It was one of those places with a large parking lot with a store that looked like it houses way more items than was actually needed. The rest of the street in the distance was just your normal Japanese street, nothing special.
The one thing that got Trinity was the fact it was a supermarket. She had expected an alleyway, or some kind of cul-de-sac. Somewhere semi-private where the fighters could go at it without ruining anyone's day. Here however, there were plenty of chances to just cause random mayhem. Still. Trinity was here to win and here to beatdown her opponent. She knew that she was the better female. She was 6ft1 and weighed 218lbs, most females couldn't come close to her, So all she had to do now was wait and see who else would turn up. She was guessing given her attire she would stand out enough to be spotted by her opponent. And at the they would actually introduce themselves as opposed to just going in for an attack.

”Hi.”
A voice came from behind Trinity, and it belong to a man much shorter than her barely coming up to her shoulder. Young, Japanese, wearing the stripped shirt with black slacks, he gave her a quick wave as he approached. ”I’m Mario, I’m the referee.” He spoke that last part as if it needed explanation. ”Army’ll come out in a second, he’s just-”
”I’m right here, I’m done.”
Armando Rodriguez emerged from the sliding doors of the supermarket, pushing a cart filled with all sort of necessities - soap, bread, Lysol, those fancy spices his sister liked to smother all their dishes with. He’d arrived for the match early and decided to do a little shopping before it got dark, kill two birds with one stone. He could’ve done it after, sure, but he figured he wouldn’t be in the mood for it. Judging by the look of Trinity, that was a good call.
She was about the same height as he was, a rarity for him - he’d fought plenty of tough women, but few could look him straight in the eye. She had a lot of muscle to work with, good size, definitely worked out enough to hurt him, and she was dressed to fight, coming out in some flexible workout clothes. He hadn’t been thinking too much on that, wore his blue jeans and a Mandolorian t-shirt his girlfriend picked out for him. Kind of wishing he wore his usual ring attire now, but too late for regrets.
”Looking sharp.” He gave her quick thumbs up and popped the trunk on his van, moving past her to start loading his stuff. ”One sec, just gotta get this and we can go.”

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
The idea of being suddenly ambushed weighed somewhat on Trinity's mind. So when the ref suddenly appeared and spoke behind her, she nearly jumped a mile into the air. She did however pay attention to the males words. So her opponent was close by and would be visible soon. It didn't even take until the end of the sentence to give her the first look of her opponent. She knew about the importance of giving off a good first impression, but maybe this gig didn't exactly get the memo.
Ontop of that, He decided that now was the time to his grocery shopping. Well, perhaps that wasn't the biggest crime if the century. She could have been a real douche and gone in for the attack herself, taking advantage of the fact he wasn't really expecting something at the moment. But that felt both cheap and degrading. While she wanted to win, and she wanted nothing more than to prove to this muscled man that she as the superior fighter, there was little point in ruining his day for it. Besides, he seemed really chill and relaxed about the whole arrangement.
"You look like you weren't even expecting a fight" She replied bac, commenting on his more casual Sunday attire. "Go take your stuff to your can and I'd you need to get changed to so. No point in starting this fight until we are both ready." While she was waiting for Army to finish up, she began to roll her shoulders and stretch her arms. She wanted to make sure that her arms were in top condition, today was all about using them to cause as much damage as possible.
"I will skip the whole, speech about 'wait aren't you the brother of...' mostly because you get it all the time and also I don't particularly care. This is between me and you, so no point bringing family into it."

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
As Army put his stuff up, he couldn't help but think about how weird this whole setup was. As near as he could tell, the AFW had made some kind of deal with AEON, a big supermarket chain in Japan, that would allow them to brawl not just in their parking lot, but in their store if that was what things came to. It had to be the weirdest setup he’d ever heard of. The last time he’d done a street fight, it wound up going into a store, too - the AFW’s store, their property. This was a big company letting them wreck all kinds of craziness in their business. Like having a boxing match in the middle of Wal-Mart’s aisles.
That was just the way Japan rolled, he guessed. Been here five years, still baffled him, sometimes.
He finished up fast enough, closed the trunk and put the cart away like a good little shopper. A crowd was starting to form up, people gathering when they saw the referee, recognized him, and realized what was about to go down. Thanks to the 24/7 Title, fights breaking out all over the city weren’t an unheard of thing, and this was their chance to be in the middle of it.
”Oh, I’m ready for a fight. Just knocked out a little business beforehand, is all. Had to come here, anyway, might as well.” Army reached down and peeled his shirt off, sliding it off his hardened body and tossing it on the hood of his car. He stretched out a little himself, rotating his chest from side to side, working the torso. ”And right, this thing’s not a family matter. Just you and me - one Rodriguez is enough.”
Army clapped his hands, bounced on his heels a couple of times, then dropped down into his orthodox boxing stance, keeping things classic to start off. All he knew about Trinity was that she was tall, built, and had a good throwdown with the former hardcore champ a couple years back. Not enough to build strategies on, but no problem. He could do improvisation.
”Heaven or hell.” He took a step forward and beckoned her on. ”Come at me.”

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
"Well this most certainly the most bizarre location I have ever been in for a fight." She would carefully observe him as he took off his shirt, checking him out, more to see just how much muscle the male had. She had to admit she was impressed. Perhaps she would be given an actual challenge. "But we might as well make the most of it and see who comes out ontop" As Army began to get ready and get into his stance, Trinity would get into her own. It wasn't exactly a true boxing stance, but her arms were up by her face as if she was about to start a boxing match.
It seemed that Army wanted Trinity to start the fight, and that was fine. At this point a sizeable crowd had appeared almost making an impromptu ring of sorts. She kinds felt sorry for those at the front. Getting the best view at these fights, always meant putting yourself in harms way. After getting into her stance and making sure that Army was ready, Trinity would start to make her way towards him, giving him plenty of time to get ready. She wanted them both to start off at their best afterall. When she was in engagement range she would start her assault. She would throw her left arm around, attempting to throw a hook into the left side of his face. She didn't expect it to land, fully expecting him to block it. She would however follow up with a right hook aiming for his ribs and getting the fight going proper. Her blows weren't exactly the fastest in the world, but she was putting her full weight and body rotation into it for maximum effect.
"Hopefully you are able to handle this kind of power."

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
Army lit up when Trinity took a boxing stance - well, an attempt at one, anyway. He’d seen better ones at his sister’s boxing school, but usually only on the people who’d been there for a month or two. He got the impression that she wasn’t a professional, but if her muscles were anything to go on, she had enough power to be a threat despite the skill gap.
Good. Yeah, he could work with that.
First up was a hook, coming up top, clean and quick. Army brought his hand up in anticipation, tightened the guard and took it full force - not bad, it had enough impact to make his body jerk. Could’ve thrown her hips into it more, but aside from that it was serviceable, would’ve left him loopy if she’d landed.
It was a setup, anyway, with the real threat coming from below. Army caught it coming at the last second and brought his arm down, taking it right on the elbow. It was enough to make him wince, cracking on the bone, but it was better there than any of his soft spots. She was going to leave him sore in the morning, no question.
”Think I got it.”
Army stepped in and returned fire, lashing out with the same two punches she’d throw at him - a left hook upstairs, a right hook downstairs, seeing how she liked that combo when it was Puerto Rican flavored.
Good. Yeah, he could work with that.

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
Trinity didn't see this as a wrestling match. She saw it more as a brawl. So there was little point in her adopting anything but a striking stance. She had taken several boxing courses before, but they were mostly to focus on her punching ability, not her positioning and footwork. So while she was able to to get her fists in the right place, her feet were anything but. Still it was enough for her to send her attacks screaming across towards Army, who at this point was more than ready for the kind of pressure that Trinity was trying to apply.
Army did exactly what she thought he was going to do with relation to the hook aiming at his face. She had expected a dodge, but instead he stood firm and blocked it. Her hand wasn't going to enjoy it she was hitting nothing but guards all fight, but it was the only way to wear down a man of his size. She was somewhat surprised when he was able to block the second hook, her hand instead smacking into his elbow. Okay. So he knew how to look after himself. It was then he decided to go on the counter attack by repeating her attacks back. And Trinity pretty much blocked in a similar fashion to Army, however she was able to bring her arm down lower to block the hook at her ribs.
So now they were pretty much at a stalemate and Trinity was wager to try and break it. She wanted to be the first one in the match to land a proper, connecting blow. Since Army had his guard up, her only choice was to just power through it. She would go right back on the offence again, this time throwing a left jab directly forward his face, followed by a second, alternate right hook to the side of his face, hoping the old 1-2 combo might be enough to rock him. She would carry on, moving onto a left hook to the other side of the face and then finishing with an attempted right uppercut to his jaw. It was a never ending assault against his face, but she knew that if she kept the pressure up on him, one of them would eventually work their way through.
"Bear in mine, this is just the warm up phase. I have plenty in the tank for later."

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
The crowd around them was starting to thicken, filling up more and more as onlookers joined the scene. There was a perimeter forming about them like a human ring, some AFW fans, some curious watchers, some people just wanting to see a good brawl, and even some scattered tourists. When you visited Tokyo around the arena, one of the biggest draws was the chance to see a fight like this happen in front of you, with the place being renowned for this sort of spontaneous violence. Army wasn’t even one minute into this fight, but he could already tell they wouldn’t be leaving this fight disappointed - if Trinity’s opening volley was anything to go by, this was going to be a rough one.
He was already having a blast, with this match bringing him back a few years. Trinity was throwing out heavy punches, strong and stiff, and he got a good taste of her power when she tagged him in the face with a jab. It wasn’t the hardest blow he’d ever taken, but it smacked him clean on the nose and cleared his sinuses, leaving him stunned for a precious instant. That was more than enough time for the next one to come in and make contact, a hook that jerked his head to the side.
It hurt, sure, but it had the alternate effect of clearing his head, shocking some sense into him, enough that he was able to duck under the hook that came his way. The uppercut was next, but he had something special for that.
Army jerked back, avoiding the blow by a few inches, but opened his guard so that he could reach out and seize her arm by the wrist, snagging it as it passed in front of his face. He pulled her towards him with both arms and jerked forward at the same time, attempting to ram his shoulder into her chest and knock her off her feet.

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
Army was one tough cookie. Trinity had managed to get a couple of good hits on him and he was still standing. This was something that Trinity had been yearning for so many years. To finally fight someone who could take her hits and not just flop onto the ground after the first punch. Army had his own plans as he was able to avoid and grab onto her uppercutting arm and attempting to try and knock her onto the ground with his shoulder, smashing it into her chest. It was a heavy blow, the full weight of the Puerto Rican man behind it. It would have demolished most people and knocked them to the ground. The crowd however was in uproar with cheers as Trinity took the blow and refused to fall down, instead she just stayed standing.
"Nice try, Some good power behind it. Sadly, you gotta try harder than that. I ain't ready to take this to the ground yet." She said with a grin. She would simply push Army back a few steps so he was on the edge of the ring. She re-raised her fists and got into her stance again. She didn't follow up with an attack, deciding to give Army a chance to get back into his own fighting stance. She didn't want any cheap shots. Not yet anyway. The crowd had given them quite a tight little circle to work in. So it was going to be difficult to manoeuvre unless they got more space.

Re: Trinity Cordova vs Army Rodriguez - Supermarket Street Fight
Army was, last he checked, a good 230 pounds. That was solid weight, too, not much fat on him to speak off, and he was well aware of how to use that to his advantage. Most AFW wrestlers didn’t even clear the 150 pound mark, so when he made full impact with his body against them, he was used to them going straight down. Momentum was a good friend to him.
After he made contact with Trinity, he backed up and prepared to lunge in, expected her to be floor, or at least knocked flat on her ass, a golden opportunity either way.
Instead, he found himself with a standing opponent. Staggered, hurt, sure, but standing.
”Huh.” He blinked. ”Okay.”
Army brought up his fists again as Trinity hung back, clearly expecting him to close the distance. It was a safe expectation, too, because that was exactly what he did. He took a big step in, closed the distance on her all at once, and reeled back for a right cross, only to jerk back at the last second and lash out with a Big Boot aimed at her chest, looking to knock her further towards the store.
